It is phishing for a romance scam, a con . Delete immediately. They will try to befriend you then ask for money.

I had a PM from them today too, probably saying the same thing, I haven't opened it or replied.

I had a similar message from Marcv on 14 May. Perhaps the two are connected.

Perhaps the moderators should be informed.

When I reported my poorly foot, I had several PMs from men sympathizing, but also wanting to engage in ‘conversations’ as I sounded lovely!!

I received the same message a few weeks ago………reported it and blocked the jerk!

I had one via FB, he was a “surgery doctor” from America but working in Syria, I led him on a bit for fun, he was very keen as I Tod him I was a divorcee who had just sold a business.

He felt a real connection apparently!

They can't send a PM to our Gransnet mailbox unless they are members. If we let Gransnet know what they are up to, they can delete their account and ban then (and give them a virtual kick up the RRRs at the same time.)
