As I have written n aonther thread, the problem is younger people are still focussed on outdated stereotypes about what anyone should look like at a given age.
I have aged well, but recently to do with legal documents and one or two other things, I have had to say how old I am and each time I get the 'My goodness, I thought you were much younger than that' treatment.
I do not look much younger than my age. There are plenty of nearly 82 year olds who are fit and healthy and looking good, but just say my age and mental pictures of white hair, frailty and a stick immedately come to people's minds. the older we get the more diverse we look. We cannot younger people grasp that concept?
