I’m so sorry you have lost your dear dog Buzz Bellasnana, he must have been very good company for you. 💝

GrandmaC47 Sat 19-Jul-25 18:12:41

So sorry about Buzz, Bella a hard decision to make.
I don’t even have anything boring to talk about, that’s why I love this forum 😀, living vicariously through your interesting lives.

Blossoming Sat 19-Jul-25 17:11:19

It couldn’t be more boring than mine Usedtobeblonde grin.

I can do very little these days but I’m just happy to be out of hospital and home!

My long weekend started on Thursday afternoon and I have been pottering around, eating, tidying, making sure I observe there is not rat on the eaves, making coffee and watching the greenery through the windows. - Small humble accommodation, amazing green hills to look at; the rain made it fresh looking and feeling this morning, fresher breezes also

My young teen bought too fast some pets on her roblox account so I have been teaching her to be wise with money

my current job is a plant which is in nature, so I enjoy the nature there in my lunch break too.

dragonfly46 Sat 19-Jul-25 16:34:47

So sorry to hear about Buzz Bellasnana

Better ‘boring’ than drama of any kind uttb. I enjoy your posts from Stockport. Everyone adds flavour to this thread. 😊

Good afternoon all!
I love Gransnet! It’s so nice to compare notes, discuss worries and see how the other half lives! Many of you lead such busy and worthwhile lives, well done!
I’m surprised to say I’m not a club person, as I love people. I think it’s the fact that there are always one or two people in (some) clubs who leave a nasty taste in one’s mouth. I loathe bitchiness and people wanting to boast, and to my knowledge there are few clubs that don’t suffer those, (if you know of any in the (very) East Kent area, please let me know).
Today I am watching out of my kitchen window which overlooks one of the two main roads into Dover Port. It can get horrendously busy here because the tourist traffic is normally so heavy at the start of the School holidays. There are Marshalls controlling it all, and because the tourist traffic is lighter than normal, they are managing. This time last year, the holdups were unbelievable and Dover residents were hardly able to go anywhere easily. Dover came to a virtual standstill, so I don’t know why it’s less intrusive this time. Maybe more people travelled yesterday. It was certainly a lot busier than a normal Friday night when I looked.
I have no plans for today and will just see what the day brings.
Have a safe and pleasant day, everyone 💐

Sorry that you’ve had to say Goodbye to Buzz, Bellasnana These things are never easy.

Just popping in to say a very late Good morning/afternoon from a wet muggy Cambridgeshire fenland. So lovely to see Madeleine back. I had an early start today as needed to take Dgs2 to an Inflatabounce to a party. That was an experience with over 20 bouncy castles and so many children so hyped up running and bouncing everywhere. After two hours of fun 😬 and a headache lurking we escaped home where I have my 16 and 6 year old grandsons spending the afternoon with us. It is pouring with rain. Whilst DH is amusing the boys I am crashed reading all the good morning posts and trying to summon up some energy. Dgs2 has found the treat box and is happily munching away.

Bellasnana 💐

Have the best day you can everyone

Good morning all.
It was nice to see Madeleine back today.
Her posts are so interesting.
It is selfish to read and not contribute but my life is really so boring that it would interest no- one.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Grammaretto Sat 19-Jul-25 10:39:37

Thinking of you Bellasnanna. You are having a tough time. flowers

karmalady Sat 19-Jul-25 10:35:51

I am so happy that Madeleine is back and with a story to tell. Such a magical person, I missed her, really missed her, when she was not posting. I thought about her often

Madeleine rest and recover and welcome back

Sallyforth Sat 19-Jul-25 10:21:21

Marydoll thank you for the tip about Googling my DGS's phone. I have passed it on. The police say that as soon as it's switched on it will ping in the police station. Thanks to others who expressed their concern. They also warned my DGS about his trainers attracting attention! They weren't cheap, but they weren't as ridiculous a price as some are. He may listen to them.

Bellasnanna Welcome back. You're having a difficult time so sending you a hug. xx

Blossoming Sat 19-Jul-25 09:18:40

Good morning everyone from cloudy damp Lancashire.

MrB and I will be going for our daily shortly as the forecast is for rain this afternoon. I’m enjoying the cooler temperature.

Nice to hear from you Madeleine.

A warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed.

Thinking of our poorly Grans and families, as always.

Have the best day you can everyone 🌹

Sar53 Sat 19-Jul-25 09:14:11

Good, late, morning from the Essex coast where we have had a lot of rain overnight.
I had a lovely evening yesterday where my friend made Paella for dinner, it was delicious.
No plans for today but out again this evening . I'm having a better social life whilst DH is away than I normally have.
DD1 and family finally arrived in Thailand very tired. I'm looking forward to hearing about their adventures.
I need to go back and read about your busyness now.
Have a good day everyone, best wishes to all xx

Jaxjacky Sat 19-Jul-25 09:10:10

Bellasnana❤️

Ziplok Sat 19-Jul-25 09:06:52

Good morning
Very overcast and muggy here today. Heavy rain is forecast for later, but I’ll believe it when I see it. We really need some though, the grass is parched and the ground rock hard.
I do hope your GS can get his phone back Sallyforth.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 19-Jul-25 09:05:50

Good to see you posting Bellasnana

I hope your journey to U.K. is uneventful and that your brother-in-law’s funeral goes as expected.

Pets take up so much of our hearts, they tale a piece with them when they leave us💔

merlotgran Sat 19-Jul-25 09:04:20

Morning all from a soggy south coast. So glad to have had rain for most of the night but was so loud it kept me awake. I also have a very sore shoulder, probably from lugging a very heavy bag of horticultural grit round to my back garden after the delivery man dumped it on my front doorstep. 😡

I need to get a shift on as I’m due at DD’s for coffee at 11.
Hope everyone has a good day.
