I think most of you haven't understood the OP! She wasn't talking about people you love and those you hate on the telly, but those for whom you have a love/hate reaction - both at the same time.

I can't think of anyone like this for me.

Jeremy Vine is top of my list! For so many reasons absolutely everything about him. Robert Preston, surely his way of speaking is some sort of affectation. Jimmy Carr is creepy, I never watched master chef and even seeing tailers with Gregg Wallace gave me the ick. Denise Welch seems almost universal and I agree. In fact there's not many I disagree with here.

I used to love Davina McCall until I found out she challenged a £300 electric bill. She’d used it but said that they should have read her meters or something it was ages ago. Any celeb who advertises things they don’t use: there’s no way Holly Willoughby gets her hair that blonde with a box dye. Philip Schofield advertising WeBuyAnyCar when they’re ripoff merchants. I can’t stand James Corden, never liked him. Linda Barker was irritating, but don’t see her very much now. Daisy May Cooper on Buzzcocks because she’s so vulgar. I went off Russell Brand after reading his autobiography years ago because of the way he had treated women. Jeremy Clarkson, just so arrogant. I could go on all day 😂

I really don't like anyone on Countryfile because its a very tedious programme that used to be lovely so I love/hate them all.

Alison Hammond - too loud, unfunny, horrible cackle, appears on too many programmes
HDavina McCall 50+ trying to be a late teen with the clothes she wears and stupid actions, especially on the 'hidden singers' programme
Vanessa Felz - dreadful boring, 'school marm' voice. Seems to talk down to people when also talking over them!!

Thanks for this post, I am getting more like my super-intolerant Mum who didn't just dislike but "loathed and detested" so many TV people.

I am afraid that I like
David Attenborough and Brian Cox. They both have very soothing voices and should read bedtime stories. Brian makes me believe that I understand complex scientific explanations, though I would be unable to repeat them five minutes later.

I also like Simon Reeves and Monty Don.

I can't bear Stephen Fry, he gives me the creeps, but I like Hugh Laurie. David Walliams is also creepy, James Corden and Jeremy Clarkson are just awful.

I don't watch much TV now so can't say there are any I dislike (except David Attenborough - I don't like being dictated to about the environment by someone who probably has a bigger individual carbon footprint than anyone else!)

However we do have a presenter on local radio who has the most irritating voice and laugh! She is also probably the worst presenter in local radio - constantly interrupts guests and is thick as slurry (as we say locally!)

Cannot bear to listen to, or watch Sandi Toksvig. She comes across as sneery or Giles Brandreth (thinks too much of himself).

I like most other TV presenters including Amol Rajan, Joanna Lumley, Alexander Armstrong and Stacy Dooley.

David Attenborough has the same effect on me as Greg Wallace, so no, not everyone likes him.

The one person that sets my teeth on edge every time she opens her mouth is Emma Willis her voice is akin to polystyrene rubbing off a wall

My best friend and I feel the same, for years we have had an imaginary boat all those so called celebs we like to dislike we put on our boat and they sail away into the sunset, unfortunately as we have aged the boat now is a huge cruise liner, whenever someone irritating appears on tv or radio one of us remarks he/she would be on my boat.
