I don't like Amanda Holden, Naga Munchetty, Alan Carr and Bettany Hughes (historian) ...... and would agree with you re Johnny Vegas......

I have no real idea why I can't take to these people.

However, I do like Jules Hudson (presenter), Jane Hill (newsreader), Matthew Rhys (actor), Keeley Hawes (actor) and Torvill & Dean.

The thing us, I both love and hate some people at the same time.

Extreme descriptions for my feelings but I expect you get where I'm coming from.

My favourite is Hugh Pym, BBC health editor. I also like Monty Don and Jane Hill.

I don’t like Alan Titchmarsh, Charlie Dimmock, Helen Skelton, Kate Bottley (vicar)..

I think it’s often voices that attract or repel me, though in Hugh Pym’s case it’s the lovely gentle facial expression too.

I shudder every time Charlie Dimmock pops up. No idea why as it’s a fairly new reaction. Helen Skelton irritates, as do Naga Munchetty, Alan Carr and Bradley and Barney Walsh. I thought I was just getting to be a more than usually grumpy old woman. Maybe I am .

I understand too! Some people on tv are just awful.
My main hates are:-

John Torode
Greg Wallace (loathed the last two long before the sh*t hit the fan)

The new woman on Masterchef
Amanda Holden (look at me, me, me, me)

Paul Holywood (what do women see in him?)
and the worst one of all? Steven Mulhern. He really does give me the ick and I find him totally impossible to watch.

There are more, but I can’t think of any at the moment. It’s dreadful that my ‘dislike’ list is so long but I do think a lot of people on tv have such inflated egos that they are totally unwatchable.
And that is probably why I don’t watch tv much anymore.

I haven’t posted on this site for years, but come on occasionally for a quick look.

I think I understand where you’re coming from. The people you have mentioned are annoying but have a vulnerability about them which envokes you empathic gene. Or as my daughter calls it “your mummy gene”.

I absolutely cannot stand Alan Titchmarsh! Everything about him makes my hackles jingle, his nose, his whiny voice, his attempt at being posher than he will ever be. Ohh and I also loath Marcus Waring (the chef). What a arrogant piece of work, with his ridiculous buffant hair-do, He seems to simmer (excuse the pun) with a glaring irritation towards any lowly civilian chef that he has the misfortune to encounter. 🤔

David Walliams always seems so smutty in a bit of a Saville way
Barney Walsh gives me the creeps always think of a wet handshake with him don’t mind his Dad so much
Charlie Dimmock Monty Don and Alan ‘I m so pious’ Titmarsh all set my teeth on edge
Amanda Holden, Jimmy Carr and Carol ( look at me I m beautiful, ‘ look so young’ and clever too) Vordamen) all get a big thumbs down from me
Jeremy ‘misogynist’ Clarkson and same for loudmouth opinionated Piers Morgan and Nick Farrari
Afraid I didn’t like cleaner lady Aggie whose just recently died and Lorraine’s voice is like fingernails on a blackboard
Gosh what a list I m sure there’s plenty more

I actually find Nina Munchetty a really good reporter and a beautiful looking lady I don’t know why she gets such bad press she’s disliked by many I think it’s because she’s straight talking and confident, people want to put her down
