DGS2 was 3 yesterday and was taken to London Zoo on the train. He was so excited! They are coming up to us this afternoon for a little party with his cousins, so that will be a houseful.
I have started coming up to bed at 11 ish instead of 12.30 ish and what a difference! I’m waking up in the morning 🤣. I’m not sure how long it will last but enjoying it at the moment.
My grandad used to say “An hour before midnight is worth two after”.
Well, off to start cooking for the tribe before I open the church for a midday funeral.

A day of sunny periods with a lot of cloud, warm when the sun was out, but cool when it wasn’t.
I’ve done some cleaning today, ready for DD1 and family to return at silly o’clock tonight/early hours of tomorrow. The dog is quite unsettled this evening, she knows something is going on! I’m going home tomorrow, possibly have to look after DD2’s daughters while she has an emergency dental appointment before I actually go home!

I’m having my hair cut and coloured in the afternoon, definitely needs it!

I hope that soop is comfortable and not in pain and that Mr fgt is responding well to his treatment.

I’ve had a lovely day. It started early. I went to a local town to have a facial, shoulder massage and henna brows, then met a friend for lunch and a glass of wine 😀. It’s a two journey trip by bus but where we change buses is next to a B & M and Primark so it would be rude not to browse. Unfortunately (or fortunately) nothing caught our eye.

We’ve had the most grey day for a long time, not a shaft of sunshine and not that warm with the wind. But, it was good for watering and planting winter veg mk2, the last ones died, diligent watering through the heatwave next week is in order.
Other than that, I moved some money around, chopped down a buddlea, allegedly a dwarf, then started removing nigella, but I’ll scatter their seeds.
