Good morning Mick and everyone from a dull morning in Cheshire where it's currently 16C. The forecast is for a warm sunny day with a gentle breeze which will be refreshing. It's been a sneezy morning with a high pollen count.

My sleep pattern is crazy, and I've been working on my crochet for a couple of hours already. The day is mine with no pressure to be anywhere or do anything, so some light housework and gardening in preparation for the family descending on Monday. Thankfully because of all the good weather everything is clean and ready. Must do a food order to stock the fridge and freezer. I always tell them to bring an appetite.

Wishing all a good day. Special thoughts for the sick and worried. flowers

Good morning from south Glos, it’s a bit misty here and pleasantly cool.
Off to art group this morning, I’m looking forward to seeing the lovely people there again. I’ll take my coloured pencils I think, I have a drawing to finish and ideas for the next one.
I might do some needlework this afternoon, I haven’t done any for months, it’s too hot for knitting at the moment, roll on cooler days please 🙏
I hope today goes well for you all x

Good morning from a very warm Torbay, with the heat not helping sleep. Today is the Feast of the Assumption.

I hope you aren’t overdoing it, Mick, following your heart problem. Take care.

Thank you for the kind good wishes for olddudders, who reached home safely yesterday evening, despite issues on the Metro. Back here, my DS and DG3 enjoyed the delights of crazy golf where the latter managed a hole in one and has the evidence on record as his Dad was filming at the time! They also went on the boating lake and visited the fairground. Later they joined me for a takeaway from our local award winning chippy (Hanburys)

I hope everyone has as good a day as possible. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from Bristol. I noticed cars covered in dew! Another hit (high 20’s C) forecast.
May all your youngsters have had the results they hoped for yesterday, and the future they projected.
Yesterday was odd being very cloudy and breezy in the morning, then sunny, hot and still in the afternoon.
The Taichi class was less energetic than usual but we still got a jolly good workout.
I didn’t dine at DD’s as usual, their lives being “complicated”. Iris was volunteering with St. John’s Ambulance at some local music festival.
One of the AgeUK volunteers gave me a bagful of fabric strips from his late wife. I have started to make a random strip quilt; I’ll give it to the hospice shop when done. It’s fun and a change to the one I’m making at present.
This afternoon, I shall help some church ladies to sort out the two kitchens. Because noon3 person is in charge or goes to all the things, people are frightened to dispose of out of date things, rationalise the 20 packets of herbal tea, or whatever. It’s going to be interesting, especially as I’m one of those “throw it away” people. Do we really need to keep the 30 odd tablecloths used twice a year, easily accessible?
May those with their personal Everest to climb, find it less daunting. Hugs all round.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
