What do you bring back from abroad now?

I have not been away, but if I had I would have brought back the sort of things I always do buy when travelling:
postcards of the places it is impossible to take good photos of

a book or two, or three or four.

Photos and fridge magnets. My fridge is a haven of memories!

I’m enjoying this thread. I usually bring back a t towel or craft things when in the USA and other bits and bobs that catch my eye.

I go to Vermont so I bring back Maple syrup. There is a small business which makes it from their own trees in the village where my daughter lives.

We only go to our caravan but daughters always bring a fridge magnet, whether UK or abroad

Oh and happy memories and dog hairs (they have 3) and the occasional insect bite

I wish I could afford to go abroad ...

Honey, olive oil, a small gift for the grandkids. I might buy a trinket. I love scarves too. My husband buys leather belts 🙁

A leaf from the African bush. Myself and Dd were in safari in South Africa on my 65th birthday, she'd bought me a book so I have the lwaf tucked inside. Treasured memories

Nothing in particular just anything that takes my fancy, avoid any sort of tat or clutter.

I used to bring back fridge magnets, tea towels and souvenir teaspoons.

I now have an integral fridge so cannot put magnets on it, I’ve more tea towels than I can squeeze into the drawer, and my extensive spoon collection went to the charity shop this morning.

We bought a lovely bauble for the Christmas tree from Santorini.

That's a lovely idea Weddingbelle123 nice to remember holidays like that.

Over the years we have bought :

From France - wine, lovely cheeses, baguettes, Madeleines (sp).
From Greek Islands - Metaxa brandy, olive oil, pretty, cheap rings from markets.
From Spain - little flamenco dress and matching shoes for GDG when she was small.
From Italy - spaghetti dishes and colourful jugs.
So much more!

From Canada I brought back a glass Canada Goose Christmas tree decoration. They were from the Christmas Shop in Niagara.
Also from Canada a carved wood Canada Goose and bread knives with wooden handles. The blade is set in such a way so as to enable it to cut straight slices of bread. No more sloping loaves.

I brought back a couple of Christmas baubles from that very shop (if you mean the one in Niagara on the Lake) only last month I loved some of the tea towels that had the sayings on but thought them a little expensive for what they were. I love Christmas tree baubles from holidays, they bring back happy memories.
Your bread knife sounds intriguing, I could certainly do with one, the slope gets worse with every slice

Fridge Magnet

From France earlier this year I brought back a supply of Savon de Marseilles soaps and some Rhodia long thin notepads with checked paper, which I use for my shopping lists. Portugal next month - probably just a few photos and DH, possibly a Christmas tree decoration. Our Christmas tree is a lovely reminder of where we have been over the years.

Yes Rosie the very same shop. I brought a goose for every family member. The wooden items came from a lovely local craft shop in Huntsville, which was the home of my oldest friend. I also have crafts from the Indian reservation.
