My husband and I both have Blueyonder accounts and knew nothing about this. Nothing has happened to us yet, but we both have gmail accounts as well, so hopefully that will help. Thanks for the heads-up.
Try logging into "my account" on Virgin and you will find out all about it. The important thing to do is check through your blueyonder inbox and see if there is anything there you really need to keep. Forward it to your gmail to make absolutely sure you won't lose it, especially if you use Outlook to get your emails. If they are on the old, Classic Outlook, which isn't Cloud based it should be OK. If you are using anything which doesn't physically download messages such as New Outlook I think they could disappear as once your Virgin account is linked to your gmail address, Virgin have told me all "legacy" emails will be deleted.
I have spent over a week now, contacting organisations etc. to update my email. Some won't change contact details without a confirmation from the old email address. No good if it has already been expunged!
