I don't think animals should be 'owned'. Domestic pets can be taken into a home and respected for the type of animal they are. Humans have always felt superior to animals and we really aren't.

For my birthday last year a young man came in with several creatures to talk to me and my family about them- it was wonderful. Whether to own those sort of critters though I don't think it's up my street now I'm on the old age spectrum!

Our two massive wooden hippos would be quite enough! They’re called Hip and Hop, acquired by dh on work trips to African countries. He bought the 2nd to keep the first company. 😂
They weigh around 40 kg each!

2 foxes, 2 owls, a herd of sheep, a penguin, a unicorn and a glow in the dark stegosaurus. The last 2 are courtesy of my partner's granddaughter.

The dog has a monkey, a reindeer, a sloth, a pig and penguin.

A robin and a hedgehog.

One dog, one horse. The dog was left out on a pavement for anyone to take, so officially a rescue. 😁

A tiger, various cats, a hare, a lot of bees, various birds including 2 owls and a heron plus 2 pheasants, 7 bears.

And a perente lizard and several snakes

Not too sure about the neighbours, I'd have;

Then again I think my animals might make less noise!

I forgot the creatures in my garden! They are: red squirrel, hedgehog, peacock, owl, butterfly and 3 cats.
