Well, they adopted a zero tolerance approach to illegal migration, or whatever you want to call it, ‘Operation Resolute’ I think it was named, clue in the last word.

Result, subsequent governments have carried on with the same system, and it works.

Time we did something similar.

Some posters do like to post information on a daily basis, whether it’s like the weather on the good morning threads, or politics, on the ‘what the LP has done today’ threads.

Nobody, AFAIK, posts daily on what the weather isn’t like, or what the LP hasn’t done, because it’s not news.

Although it would probably have elicited questions like Is KS’ policy is working? or, Are the French finally doing something? or even, Have they been scared off by NF?

Well the threads on this subject are getting repetitive and nothing new is said. Migrants will carry on coming until conditions in their home countries improve. And that will require substantial increases in international aid. Is the British taxpayer up for that?

I said I wouldn’t comment anymore.
But I can’t help myself. Last night I was sad (conditions at home) so I just folded and gave in to pressure and mean girl comments.

However winterwhite it’s nothing to do with ‘conditions at home’. We cannot influence or aid so many countries (some corrupt) to raise the standard of living there to what these irregular migrants know they can just expect here on arrival.. TikTok shows them what we in the UK offer and gang masters plying their trade advertise on it. They even post ‘offers’ (big business you see at work - a true capitalist enterprise!) “post a great review from your hotel surroundings and we will let you travel for free”. There was a detailed report about this only recently. That’s why ‘Smash the Gangs’ isn’t ever going to work.

Nor will Macron earn the ££smillions we pay the French.

All is lost I’m afraid unless our government Get a Grip and stop the pull factors. Remember even Macron told us that 2 years ago!

I find this very worrying indeed.

That’s the strange thing.
They can’t seem to differentiate between legal migrants, those coming here legally to work, which we absolutely need, as a country we wouldn’t survive without them - to those entering illegally. Who are they? are they criminals? no one knows?

Btw I’ve just scrolled up & seen some posts were deleted. I’d just like to state I didn’t report any of them. I’d gone to bed early last night.
