*Cross stitch*. I am just explaining that I do similar for the company. Please don’t be offended. I buy fresh rolls and something like a small quiche as I am often too lazy to cook for one. .

I have no problem with you, Feelingmyage55. What has upset me is that a lot of my comments are picked on by others and it makes me feel stupid. Added to that is the fact that other posters don’t seem to have people picking on what they say, mainly me. That’s why I thought I had better shut up for a while as I am obviously rattling people’s beaks!
Or am I paranoid?

When my DH is away, I go to the local shop daily, company, and usually meet someone who is delighted to go to the cafe next door for coffee and chat.
Mick. wonderful how you open up for us daily. Thank you.

Why is it that, quite often when I comment, someone will pop up and query what I have said, or criticise it? I went back through quite a few posts made by different people and this doesn’t seem to happen to them. It is a bit annoying, as if people think I’m stupid.
I asked a poster a question this morning and before he could answer, someone was there asking if I had considered, this, that or the other.
I don’t reply so that I can hurt, criticise or belittle the person who wrote the post I am commenting on, and I don’t appreciate being treated like a thoughtless imbecile. I am entitled to ask questions of a poster and fully accept that they will query it if it offends. I don’t see the need for others to speak for them!
I think I will take a break from commenting as obviously what I say is wrong in one way or another, and I am getting nervous about posting lately. I am sure I don’t say anything that’s unacceptable, but I might say something now, such as ’please get off my back, however ‘kindly’ you mean your comment to be!’

Have you ever thought Cross stitch fan that as Michael lives alone he goes out for the company as well as any little bits and pieces he might need? I love the way he opens up for us every morning.

I appreciate that he might be going out for the company but my question was what did he buy? I was in no way criticising him and I, too, love to read his daily ‘diary’.

Good morning,
It appears you live alone Mick? In that case, I’m curious…..you say you ‘do a shop’, but what on earth do you find to buy every day?
Just wondering!

Good morning, Michael12 and everyone!

Had another awful day and night with menopause! It twisted my guts and crippled me up again! Trying to work with it, 16-hour shifts, was horrendous! As soon as I got into work, I grabbed a couple of paracetamol. I love cold water and drink gallons each day, but I can't take any type of pill/tablet with water as it makes me physically heave, so I guzzled a mini can of Coke, which went down the wrong hole and caused a massive and very loud and embarrassing coughing fit!

One of my lovely residents, Dave, in his 70s, who is severely mentally and physically disabled, and has a bad stutter, came over and started patting my back, telling me Don't die!''! After the fit, I promised him I won't and gave him a big hug! How thoughtful of him!

In bed last night, guzzling tea, my back pain was excruciating, hugging 2 hot water bottles, desperate need to do nothing but drink drink drink, head thumping like drums being banged with caveman clubs, sweat pouring off me, various gases exploding, my guts feeling like I'd scoffed a 10-course meal, they were making noises like a herd of rusty harmonicas entombed in concrete. I whispered to the ceiling ''If I pass over, lying here alone, in agony, tell my story!''

It was absolutely pouring down with heavy rain again all night, which was good; I had my bedroom window wide open with lots of lovely air coming in.

I managed to survive another night!

Good morning from s mild but damp northwest coast. A good day yesterday starting with the art group. Not pleased with my efforts, ( are we ever?) as Prosecco and fancy biscuits were produced to celebrate returning to our original room in the church after redecoration, a faint excuse. Much chattering and lack of concentration.🥂

I then went on to an organ recital in a church which I find ugly from the outside, but impressive inside. A very poor turnout indeed sadly. Then some food shopping and home to a long FaceTime with sister in the south. Flying DD sent me some makeup and sweets from Ibiza with a card, she’s so thoughtful.
My new window cleaner finally turned up, but no plumber…
This afternoon to an orchestral concert in our arts centre.

Many Happy Returns of the Day nannyjan, thoughts to Blossoming and all🌺

Good morning from a grey and rainy NE.
The forecast is for heavy rain all day.
DS and GD2 intend to visit but it depends on the travelling conditions as he doesn't live locally.
Yesterday I had a phone call from my sister to tell me that our cousin was in hospital. She had managed to call an ambulance and get to hospital but then collapsed and is now unconscious.
Best wishes to kitty, my SIL sends his best wishes too, he had the same problem and couldn't have keyhole surgery. His gall bladder was perforated and adhered to the bowel. His scar looked like a shark bite.

Good Morning from a bright and chilly Co Armagh
I’ve just done my ear drops , uses up my small store of patience waiting till I can sit up , I’m so nosy I don’t want to miss anything 😉
Painting class was good yesterday , amazing how much painting I got done when I couldn’t gossip ☺️
Hoping the rain stays away till we get some new plants into my raised flower bed
Nothing else on the agenda
Thinking of all those not feeling a hundred percent

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is overcast and feels warm.

DH is off to try indoor bowls now his lawn bowls has finished for this year. I have ironing and re potting a rhododendron to do but little else planned. We are off to watch a charity cabaret show this evening with our neighbours. It is an annual event and usually a good show with comedy sketches, singers and dancers.
