Good morning from a sunny start to the day in Suffolk. We are off to Derbyshire tomorrow for a few days staying in the same hotel we stayed in with the children about 35 years ago.
They all have the same memory which impressed them at the time….a shoe shining machine in the corridor. The places we visited, the meals we had etc have faded from their memories but the huge machine remains!
It is the harvest festival this evening in church with a local choir so there will be a larger congregation than the usual 5 or 6.
Hope today is a good one for all.
Morning from a sunny S Hants, 9, so a lot cooler, yesterday we had a little rain, so intermittent washing had to dry indoors. Couldn’t believe my greenhouse tomatoes are still producing, I haven’t watered them for about ten days, so much for diligence in previous weeks.
Caught up with friends in the pub at tea time, heard more roadworks imminent which will cause chaos.
Lovely beach peli
Enjoy Bulgarian pantglas one of MrJ’s sisters has a property there, very hospitable people apparently.
Thoughts with poorlies, good to see Blossoming is back.

Good morning from a bright W Kent. We said goodbye to GD1 yesterday and she is off to university this morning with mum and dad and a loaded car. I find it strange they can be in touch every day as we had to leave our three and just had the occasional landline call before picking them up at the end of term.
Quiet day here, walk, lunch and probably a snooze.
Enjoy all the holidays and best wishes to those not feeling so good
Good morning from a bright sunny Cambridgeshire but a cooler day is forecast today at 15 degrees. We have been very lucky here with sunny warm days since we returned from holiday. Washing is all done and most of the ironing!
The cabaret we went to last night was very enjoyable. Today we need to mow a friends lawn and check all is well at her house as she is away at her home abroad. Then I’m hoping for an afternoon of not doing much and a roast chicken dinner early evening.
I’m sad to hear of the struggles of some and hope today will be a good day.
Marydol thinking of you. 🙏
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I have slept in after a wakeful night. Never mind I don't need to rush.
My df is off to see her DS today and I have lots of pottering jobs.
There's apple pressing at the community store and a book fair which I should avoid.
Yesterday's harvest event went well.
I met a woman on the bus home who I knew when our 40yr old DC were babies but have scarcely seen since.
She tried to talk me out of the self build plans I have so agrees with my DC that I must be mad.
Have a lovely holiday pantglas
So sorry to hear your difficult news Marydoll 😢 especially the pain.
Wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning from a sunny south coast. A much nicer day than expected so far.
I need to make a quick visit to the allotment shop at 10.30 to collect some onion sets I ordered then a ten minute drive to have coffee with DD and DS iL The rest of the day I’ll no doubt be pottering outside.
Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday.
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton; have just looked at the week's forecast, and we are due a week of sunshine, so will be cutting the grass one day, most likely tomorrow.
Had a good day out in Milton Keynes yesterday, but it was very busy. I stocked up with a few things in Superdrug, had a browse around John Lewis, a lovely lunch and 🍷 in Ask, then gave the Next sale a look. Got a nice t-shirt and a linen beach cover-up for half price. And after that ventured to M&S to spend my voucher.
There had been a very big feature in my newspaper this week extolling the store's autumn offering, but of course there was none of it in store yesterday..... again very disappointed; if I had wanted dull, drab and plain I would have been very well served...
In the end I found a zip-up knitted jacket, which was £40, but after using my assorted vouchers and discounts only cost me £7.
Went to catch the bus home and it was raining, but by the.time I got to Northampton it had stopped. Of course my next bus was cancelled, so instead of a half hour chilly wait, I went into the busy bar over the road and enjoyed a glass of wine, and followed the England women's rugby score on my phone. Great relief when they finally trounced France, but a nervous match.
And then DD sent me a picture.from a sunny beach in Crete where she and her DH had just arrived to spend the next ten days....🌞👓🍹👙🌴
Lazy day today, the papers to catch up on, and my book to finish before book club this week. Roast chicken for dinner tonight.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Good Mornng from a bright, breezy Durham. The rain has finally stopped.
I’m packed and ready to drive down to Cheshire, staying overnight with Sis in Law, before we fly from Manchester tomorrow.
We had a couple of springers at stud karma, both FTCs - I wonder if they appear somewhere in the new pups’ papers.

Best wishes to all. X
Some of you have very difficult mountains to climb, but I am hoping by the time you reach the top there will be relief and a beautiful view in front of you... Thinking of you all. xx
Good morning from sunny Wiltshire.
I’ve had a very torrid time over the last couple of days. I got a new Samsung Android phone as I am unable to make or receive calls on my iPhone at home as it cuts out constantly. The resident “tech expert” took over as he always does despite my protestations. He moved my SIM card from my iPhone to the Android phone before transferring data which he should have done after the txfer according to AI. My WhatsApps were all ok he said. But it had only moved the people and groups on it and not the actual chats. He then moved the SIM card back to the iPhone. Then I found there was no WhatsApp on any of my 4 devices. He kept asking for a verification code to be sent by Meta whose messages said were sent but nowhere to be found. He did it so often they eventually said I’d have to wait 2 days before sending another one as they suspected we were handling a stolen phone I think. My chats took up 9.5Gb which were all of them over about a decade. I can’t even download from iCloud as I’m denied access. I could cheerfully kill him atm. Apple support couldn’t help but very nice person did call from the US. Meta haven’t responded.
GD1 went off to Newcastle university last week while we were on holiday. She’s turned into such a lovely person. We all remember her propensity to bite people as a toddler, the only family member to do this. She is the GC most like me to look at with her mum in the middle also like us.
GD2 was taking part in a Disney parade in Paris last weekend. DS, DinL, and GS1 went along too.
Now off to wish SinL happy birthday. I’ve only got him bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and spiced rum as he had no other ideas. I expect GD3 and GS2 will be raucous as usual.
Belated birthday greetings Grandmabatty and Nannyjan53. How nice you were able to spend time with both your children*GB*.
Have a good Sunday all.
Good morning all and it’s a beautiful golden autumn day.
Sorry for those with torrential rain in the north and west, but we really do need a lot here in Essex. Yesterday was so warm and a strong breeze got up late afternoon so all washing dried , and put back in its usual place. I do not iron! (Only essentials) .
One of our twin gs’s has been in Jamaica for three weeks and is extending his stay. I hope his boss is ok with that! 🤔.
Dd and youngest gd is off on their hols this week, so other twin and little pooch will fend for themselves.
I’ll carry on-with the gardening cleanup today and fill the bin as the duster come tomorrow. A tiny garden but so many weeds and overgrown shrubs. Dh might mow the lawn but I’ll see how he feels.
I saw Sunny Afternoon NannyJan* . It’s great but very noisy.
Enjoy.
Liberty enjoy your time in Derbyshire. We used to go there once a year when Dh played in golf competitions. It’s so beautiful.
Poor you Marydoll. 🙏
Madeleine what a shame about the weather yesterday. Better luck next time.
I love the Harvest Festival Liberty and Gramaretty. 🍁🍂🥮.
Enjoy the day as best you can 🌻
Good morning from Sunnyside northwest coast. The orchestral concert was enjoyable yesterday afternoon and a better turn out than I expected after looking at the online bookings. I sat near the front as usual and was joined by an old pianist friend. I’d forgotten how boring he is. One of those people who never ask you anything about yourself as you show interest in them, never start a conversation and answer with yes or no. I escaped him in the interval and scurried off into the rain to change some trousers at M&S. I seem to have reached a stage when no trousers seem to fit properly and I’m not overweight. Only jeggings do the trick.
Today I will carry on clearing for the decorator and look at new music for the opera company and music club. I’ve started sleeping with mouth tape as I am a big snorer. It might improve my singing voice!
Thoughts to all🌺
good morning to you all, it's a beautiful sunny day with the ground and tops of cars white with frost.
Good morning, it's been frosty here too.
( Lanarkshire) Thinking of you, Marydoll 💕🙏🕯.
Thinking of you marydoll 💐
Lovely photo Baubles thanks for sharing
Good morning everyone from south Manchester where the sun is shining - all day Alexa tells me it’s tells me.
Our Yorkshire Lass and her husband are calling in around lunchtime (probably just as the Grand Prix race gets underway 😂) then later we are being picked up to go over to see the Boy Wonder, L’il Miss, our youngest daughter and our other son in law - who will be 50 next week. Goodness. 💕 🍾
Good morning from a sunny midlands.
Marydoll hugs 🤗
Good morning everyone, it’s a beautiful sunny though chill morning here in Lancashire. I have finally escaped hospital and am now staying in a very comfortable nursing home just across the bridge from our house. I’ll be here for a few weeks while Mr.B sorts out a stairlift and anything else we need. He walks across the bridge to see me every day and we are content.
Dear Marydoll I am so sorry to read that the ghastly episode has been repeated. Try to rest and recuperate today xx
Blossoming hugs.
