Such windy weather, blew over and broke one of my pots in the yard, but seems to be dying down just now and rain stopped.

And me! Mind you that leaves no cakes for Mr and Mrs Allira but it would be a kind deed.πŸ˜πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚

Please could I have one as well, Allira?

Allira Sat 04-Oct-25 17:39:42

It has DH's seal of approval 😁

of course, wouldn't want you sending out below par goods πŸ˜‚

Allira Sat 04-Oct-25 15:27:18

I'm just going to test one to see if it's ok, Tizliz πŸ˜€

Tizliz Sat 04-Oct-25 15:22:49

my address is .........

It's getting greater here.

We have power, just baked two cakes, I'd send you one if I could, Tizliz.

Tizliz Sat 04-Oct-25 13:34:28

not cooking anything - already had one power cut. SSEN are providing hot food vans, how do you find where they are if you don't have power πŸ™„

Lashing it down at the moment and has been windy all day. I think I’ll cook some comfort food this afternoon. πŸ˜‹

It's very windy here today but bright and sunny after the rain.

PS, the wind has really picked up here now (outer SW London) - I suspect that a local heavily wooded Royal Park will be closed, ditto very likely Kew Gardens.

Very windy here last night, but nothing that unusual. However I was speaking to a friend in Ireland (Co. Clare) yesterday, and she said it was horrendous - she’d had to go out and could barely stand in the ferocious wind.

Tizliz Sat 04-Oct-25 09:48:41

It was bad last night and was gone midnight before I could sleep. Winds were forecast at 60mph. We have lost a ridge tile which isn't too bad but so much damage to our trees - several small ones gone completely and a fairly big one next door landed on our wall but luckily no damage. Not clearing up until the storm finishes this evening.
