Grandmabatty all the best
Nicola Sturgeons husband pleads guilty.
What are you avoiding doing in this heat?
Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in Brackley this morning.
Today, we have people in the building where I live checking electric and other bits in the apartments .
So its housework etc this morning.
Later in the week I get all the equipment from BT as to going digital phone wise .
Health OK ,
Take Care,
Mick
Grandmabatty all the best
Good morning from dull Wiltshire. Again. Despite assuming a high pressure area means sun it’s been dull here for days. Occasionally the sun appears just as it’s about to go down in the evening, behind the house which backs onto us.
We had youngest GC’s overnight on Saturday. A mix of playing well together and fighting as usual. I was exhausted by the time they were picked up yesterday. They are here again later for tea as it’s school pickup day.
I’ve had a cough since the 2nd week of August following a heavy cold (not COVID). Getting very annoyed by it. I imagine it’s the 100 day cough I’ve heard about. The kids both had coughs too.
Thinking of Grandmabatty today. 🤞
Recovering after an unexpectedly social day. My only surviving cousin’s great grandson was being christened but I had declined the invitation as it meant 100 miles plus, mostly on the M4, and I only drive locally these days. On Saturday I got a phone call from the baby’s uncle, a senior paramedic, to say of course I was going and would be picked up at 8.30 am. Such kindness was unexpected and I had a wonderful day, returned home at 6.00 pm completely talk out. I am still overwhelmed at such thoughtfulness. I would like to somehow pay for the petrol so would appreciate any suggestions of how I can do this without offending or diminishing such a generous act.
Session with the hygienist this afternoon but a quiet day otherwise which is just as well after so much lovely chat.
Oh dear
And again!
And again
Good morning from a dull northwest coast. I was expecting the carpet fitters for the spare bedroom this morning, but the carpet hasn’t arrived…
I had a nice walk in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road yesterday and more work on the music for upcoming concerts.
Thoughts to Grandmabatty and covid sufferers, sorry your journey wasn’t straightforward Ash and glad you are enjoying Malta GM.🌺
Cards I drew and painted.
Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 9°C.
Belasnanna, thank you. Dollie and her family were in Malta in the summer and sent a photo of them lunching, asking if I knew where they were. Of course I did!
GM, I am not a good sailor, but I have always looked forward to the boat trip to Gozo, never experienced any seasickness. We always hired a car, when we holidayed in Malta, and Gozo, was always on our itinerary. Ta' Pinu holds a special place in my heart and that of my family.
I'm sure you will have a lovely time.
We had a busy household yesterday, first DD and SIL, with the Christmas dinner, then Babydoll and her family. For a split second, I didn't recognise Babydoll, she has changed so much, although it's only only two weeks since I've seen her. DS, knowing how wild she is and how she won't let me out of her sight, realised that I would not get a moment's peace and
decided t was wise to stay away. I have missed her so much.😪
DS had put Baby's wild hair in bunches and she looked so grown up, no longer a baby.😪
As she climbed out of the car, I noticed she was clutching a bunch of flowers and wouldn't let anyone help her.
Instead of allowing me to put them in water until later, she dragged her stool to the sink and insisted on putting them in water herself.😍
Today, I intend to do nothing, because I hope to take Dollie to Silverburn for a couple of hours tomorrow, but there will be no gallivanting, I'm afraid.
Our usual girl's day of trip on the train to Glasgow followed by shopping and lunch, is impossible for me at the moment,
At Silverburn, there is plenty of seating and loos and it is only ten minutes from home, if I need to come back.
Susan, I hope you have a successful day. I wish we had paid someone to clear my mother's house, it was a daunting task.
Worrying to hear of rising Covid cases My neighbour is sheilding just now, prior to his bone marrow transplant. His wife, the Ebay Queen*, is also confined to barracks and is not coping with it at all.
DH has to leave his morning rolls and newspapers on the doorstep and walk away.
My own GP stressed the other day how vulnerable I am and to be careful.
I'm sure I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs, but do the batteries in your Hive controller need changed Greyduster?
I wish you all the best of days, safe journey, Ash and love to all the mountaineers.
Wolfie looks very cute Kitty I have a little grandson the same age who is enjoying his football. He was captain this week and was so proud.
Good morning from a grey rather misty Cambridgeshire. We had a lovely weekend in Wiltshire seeing old friends. It is back on the diet today 🙈 Although I have been invited to a cookery demonstration this morning in a friend’s son’s kitchen business. Apparently new cookers have been delivered. Sounds interesting so will see but something different to do on a Monday but involves eating again!!
Do hope it’s good news Grandmabatty keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Susan I did the same at my mum’s house when she went into a home. We went through everything (my brother sister and I) and then got house clearance in. They were very good and kind but it was all rather a heartbreaking time.
Wishing a good day to all
Good morning everyone, just popping on here to wish Grandmabatty well today - I hope your health fears prove to be unfounded 🦋
Well done to you DGS, kate.
I won't tell Wolfie that he looks like me.
Morning Susan, I'm a long time lurker here but have pm'd you about your Mum's nighties as I recently had exactly the same problem. Hope it helps!
Morning Mick and All from a grey South Bucks.
Well done to Wolfie (he looks like you Kitty).
My eldest grandson 14 now plays football for his County. He has gone from guzzling chocolate for England to eating healthily and drinking gallons of water. 😳😀
Morning from a dull S Hants, a glimmer of sunshine yesterday.
Fingers crossed Grandmabatty all is well.
I thought Damart too Susan there is also a site Chums, decent reviews.
Safe journey brook
Next time you’re travelling Ashcombe I’ll check local news, rarely use the M27, safely onwards both.
Voluntary phone today, flu jab this afternoon and quiz tonight.
Still missing Ekwanimitee hope all is well.

Good morning and it’s grey here in Essex.
I woke before 5 , read for a while and went back to sleep, only waking at 8 and don’t feel refreshed at all. 🥱.
Yesterday was fun with the family here. Lots of chat and laughter. Dh was exhausted after they left.
Today I have my Chimes group .
Food left over from yesterday will serve us well.
Grandmabatty 🤞.
Take care 🌻
Goodmorning everyone, from a dry cloudy north of Scotland (not far from Avimore). Just sending positive healing energy to all, who are in need of a hug. Stay safe everyone. x
Good morning from a dull and drizzly N.Bucks.
DD3 is accompanying to look at decorating ideas for our lounge , the decorator will be coming the second half of November.
Later I’ll turn my thoughts to holiday prep and packing.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.
Good morning from a misty East Yorkshire.
Fingers crossed for youGrandmabatty 🤞
Safe travels to brook and Ash
Well done to Wolfie kitty we had a surprise visit yesterday from the family as our dgs had also got a man of the match trophy. He’d scored the only goal in a 7-1 defeat.
Hope all the Covid sufferers will be on the mend soon. It sounds must unpleasant.
Than you for the photos of Malta grandmattie they brought back many memories of our holidays there. We visited Marssaslox (sp) and Gozo. When we visited Gozo I remember that monthly visitor appearing out of the blue and trying to find supplies which was embarrassing as there were only small shops where you had to ask for what you wanted to buy and only male shopkeepers. That’s my abiding memory of Gozo. Would like to go back to Malta one day.
Wishing you all a good day.
Thank you Roses.Forgot all about Damart!
Good morning from a dull Suffolk where fog was forecast but luckily hasn’t arrived.
I’m meeting one of my closest friends for coffee which will undoubtedly morph into lunch . We usually get together at least every 2 weeks and we can easily fill 3 hours with conversation. I was going to say ‘chat’ but that sounds to undermine the depth of some of the topics we cover.
DGS1 was 16 yesterday and we got a photo of his lemon birthday cake…..a very impressive delicious looking creation. Gone are the days when a Harriet Hedgehog cake from the Cadbury cookbook filled the bill. I remember so clearly both for our children and then the first DGC cutting chocolate buttons in half to form the hedgehog spikes.
Hope al have a good day.
Good morning from a damp W Kent. My cleaner is coming this morning and I have a pile of ironing. Not a very exciting day. Had a long FaceTime with DS and caught up on family news.
Best wishes to all
Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country, where it obviously rained overnight.
A 'nothing' day yesterday, as we both felt rough after our flu jabs, plus MrJ had a Covid one too. Even though I have Asthma, I wasn't able to have one as they have changed the rules and I am not 75.
I did manage to make an apple cake.
Walking group walk today, then Line Dancing. Then going forward I think I will alternate them, as doing both in one day is getting a bit much.
SIL's birthday today, he is 52!
Wishing you all the best day possible
Good morning from a misty East Midlands.
Going out to lunch today at local garden centre to check out if it is suitable for our NWR lunch club which I run.
All this talk of Covid is worrying as we are on countdown to DH’s op.
Hope you get good news today Grandmabatty and wishing every one a good day.
