Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry outside here in Brackley this morning.
Today usual bus to Bicester ,chat to those I know, shop and maybe have a breakfast in a cafe.
Yesterdays cycle race from Holland was cancelled because of security reasons ,which disappointed me.
I also had my digital phone stuff , I have changed the date of one it happens as I have an engineer coming to fix it up for me .
Health OK,
Take Care,
Mick
Kalu I am very happy to see you posting. I hope things improve for you. 💐
Good morning from, yes, another grey Suffolk day.Apart from making the Christmas cake using the dried fruit that has been soaking in brandy since Wednesday and the Waitrose weekly delivery this afternoon, it will be a peaceful quiet day at home.
Thank you MD for the uplifting information about your neighbour’s treatment. How wonderful in this present war torn world to read of such critical and valuable international co- operation of this medical issue.
Hoping Dragonfly that all goes well with your DH’s op. today .
Morning from high cloud in S Hants. My very best wishes to you both dragonfly.
Kalu 💐
I did little yesterday, dentist instructed me to rest this weekend after stitches, so rest I shall.
Enjoy your meet up baubles
I’m pleased Blossoming is now home.

An important day for you both dragonfly and I hope your husband’s operation is a success and that your anxiety lessens.
Good morning all and yes, it’s dull with no weather to speak of, here in Essex.
Yesterday picked up youngest DGD from school as her mum had gone to a funeral. On the spur of the moment , we went up to town, visited The Works for some craft bits and bought a book which is in the series she’s been reading. I asked her if there was anything else she needed/wanted and she picked up a pack of Blue Tac! 🤷🏻♀️, saying it would come in handy for Halloween and Christmas. She never asks for anything and I have to press her .
We then went in to the Wimpy and both enjoyed a burger and chips. Haven’t been there for about 20 years. Very nice.
Not much on today so I will sort out some cluttered areas of the house. I have very little storage room here and things gather in corners, so a bit of ‘chucking out’ is the order of the day
Hope all goes well for the Dragonflies.🙏
I hope things brighten up for you Kalu. As you say time is a great healer. 💐.
GG how strange you don’t qualify for Covid jab.🤔. Too young?
I haven’t had mine either. Had the flu one and that will do me 🤞. Dh is fully vaccinated.
Fgt I hope your beloved is home with you soon.🙏
Take care all and I hope it’s a ‘good’ day for you all. 🍂
Good morning all from a brightening south coast.
Nothing planned for today other than gardening and baking.
Many years ago a good friend gave me her recipe for biscuits that we named after her. They’re very much a family favourite so as DSiL wants to borrow my sack barrow tomorrow they’ll be coming round for coffee.
Hope everyone facing challenges has the best day possible. My thoughts are with you all.
Kalu I’ve missed you, sending 💐
kalu, hang on in there. It does get “less worse” (as French speaking friend used to say). 🫂
Good morning, it’s brightening up here and breezy, the sky is clearing here in south Glos.
I’ve already walked the dogs, hung out the first load of washing and put the next one on. I’m enjoying mushrooms and egg on toast before I spend the rest of the day doing a Zoom painting day with my favourite artist.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹
💐*kalu*, gM is right, life goes on, just differently. X
Good morning everyone from another dull grey day in Northampton. Should stay dry though, so I may well cut the grass this afternoon before tomorrow's forecast rain.
Dance classes went better yesterday morning; I was so disappointed with myself last week - nothing went right! Coffee was enjoyed afterwards at the village bakery, and then I popped into my hairdressers to make a December appointment.
The day finished well with another away win for my rugby team, Northampton Saints.
I also managed to arrange a coffee morning next week for neighbours (and ex-neighbours).
A visit to the shops on the bus this morning, coffee in M&S before a small top-up shop.
Hope all goes well today for dragonfly's DH.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
I am sending kind thoughts to all of those GNs with difficulties and sadness.
I had a bumper baking day yesterday. Sachertorte, strawberry and rhubarb cake with a matching jam (I hadn’t made jam in years and it’s delicious!), rich chocolate muffins and I put the ingredients for a Barmbrack to infuse overnight. I’ll finish it this morning when I’ve bought some more eggs.
Have a good day.
A friend of ours (76) declined her Covid jab this time last year. She told me that after 4 of them she’d ’had enough’.
Months later she got Covid and was so very poorly and wiped out for weeks she said she’d be first in the queue for the jab this time around.
kalu it’s hard being on your own when you have health issues.
Covid jabs are offered to over 75s only. I think there are certain conditions where you can qualify if under that age or work in care homes.
If you want to pay for one I noticed the cost was £98 in our local chemist. Seeing that price makes you appreciate all the years we got it for free.
When I had my Covid jab last week the nurse doing it said that even the surgery staff and all other health professionals do not qualify this time round.
Very strange to me.
Kalu
I do wonder what the consequences will be for the NHS not vaccinating the under 75s it seems shortsighted
Quick Hello and Good Morning to all -thoughts to all 'mountaineers' and best wishes, hoping all goes well for Dragonfly46 and Mr D x
Dear Kalu I miss you too xx
Can we arrange another Glasgow Meetup?
Good morning from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Art yesterday with poor results as too much enjoyable chatting.
I then took my hand held non working Dyson hoover and was told it needed a new filter.
Looked around for brown boots and found some with a fur lining and water resistant. How my (flat) feet have gone from a size six to a size eight over the years is a mystery to me..
In the evening a very long FaceTime with my sister in the south, cat on lap. We would still be talking now if I hadn’t needed to eat.
I’m off now to an autumn fair in the next village and hope to buy some home baked stuff as I don’t bake myself.
Thoughts to dragonfly kalu and all🌺
.
Good morning from cloudy Lancashire, everyone. I’m feeling kind of disoriented but on the whole I’m feeling pretty good. Sorry to hear your DH is still in hospital FGT2 ♥️
I have missed seeing you Kalu, sending lots of love your way.
How amazing Dragonfly, hope all goes well.
Marydoll
just because
Gingster I should have had the Covid jab due to my poorly lungs, but as I have been careful the last six months, managed to avoid infections along with no steroids (apart from inhalers) I was deemed to healthy by the pharmacist.
She advised me to contact my GP
(Yes I am many years off of 75 😹)
