Sponge flan cases

I have one of these tins.
Basically you bake thr sponge case upside down.
I hope uou find one ready made though if that's what you want.

You can buy flan tins to make a sponge flan case if you can't find the sponge flans in a supermarket, but Tesco advertises the sponge flans too.

You could make your own - need to buy a sponge flan tin. Or perhaps make a thick sponge and cut the centre half out if you know what I mean😊

I used to be able to buy a sponge flan case, fill it with cherry pie filling and clotted cream and everyone adored it.
My now adult Grandson is visiting soon and wants one and I can’t buy the cases anywhere.
If I make a Madeira cake and slice it can anyone tell me how to “glue the cut pieces together” to make the flan base please?
