I think the focus on Virginia Giuffre on this thread is distracting from his use of other girls, and the other aspects of Andrew’s behaviour, his misuse of taxpayer’s money and the rest. If he is indeed experiencing hell on earth, it’s not undeserved by all accounts. A lot more detail about his misdemeanours is going to come out over the next few weeks by the looks of it, and hopefully that will lead to more of the Epstein users coming to light. Privilege should not protect people from justice.

The revelations and allegations over the last week have been coming thick and fast. The Channel 5 programme broadcast last night put them into sharp focus. And let's be quit clear - no television channel would broadcast a programme like this without it being passed through a legal team who would have looked at libel, defamation, compliance etc.

email from PA to the late Queen's press secretary in which he told him he had asked his protection officer to investigate Giuffre for any criminal convictions or any other misdemeanours, also handing over her d.o.b. and Social Security number. The Royal Family have the pick of the most experienced and effective legal teams in the country - why is PA trying to investigate Giuffre's background when, if there were any legitimacy in his actions, this could be done by solicitors?

Email have emerged from PA to Epstein saying he MAY have met Giuffre as one of a group and there MAY be a photograph of them together.

More information is coming out about Andrew’s activities on a daily basis, and it isn’t going to be suppressed because some people are burying their heads in the sand about what he has done. I don’t feel sorry for him at all if even half of what is being reported is true, but I do feel very sorry for the rest of the royal family.

Royal Protection Officers are part of the Metropolitan Force and are state-funded public servants.

Their role is to protect members of the Royal Family from danger, not to protect their reputations.

Andrew is morally reprehensible not to mention repulsive but I’m not sure he has broken any laws in GB. His Royal Protection Officer should have told him he was not allowed to investigate anyone, that it was outside of his duties. I wonder what other tales he could tell?

I saw the Ch5 programme last night, and it was shocking. I won't post the more gruesome details, but it is there to watch on catchup if anyone is in any doubt about what happened, or how horrible it all is.

I have a 14 year old niece, and she is very much a child. How anyone can think that girls of that age can be 'prostitutes' as opposed to victims is beyond me.

I would very much like to know who else is named in the 'files' which are being suppressed. Not out of prurience, although I am curious, but I am interested to learn who has enough power to keep something like this out of the news in this age of social media, even though the wider story is in the public domain.

Some names have been mooted, but in the interests of fairness (to potentially innocent men who have been named as well as to the victims) the files should be made public and there should be prosecutions regardless of the status of the offenders.

I agree *Doodledog". I believe Prince Andrew deserves everything he may have coming to him, but there may be others who are equally guilty.

I have said, either on this thread or a smilar one, that I'm quite sure there are people in high places running around trying to protect people in even higher places. But you would think that with the likes of Clinton, Spacey et al on the flight list that there would be more interest in some of these others.

The civil case Virginia Guiffre pursued against Andrew was for sexual abuse. As she had been trafficked by Epstein and lent/rented to his "friends" she could not be considered to have consented to sex.

The age of the victims have nothing to do with it.

Sexual abuse is a crime if the victim is over the age of consent, especially when consent is not freely given or the relationship involves exploitation or an abuse of power.
