It's being reported that the Metropolitan Police has launched a probe into Prince Andrew. Apparently an email has emerged from him asking his protection officer (Met employed, tax payer funded) to investigate Virginia Guiffre in order, allegedly, to dish some dirt on her.

He's certainly the Prince who just keeps on giving.

It was Diana who chose to give all her tv interviews followed by Fergie, Diana wanted to be Princess of Wales, surely as her sister had dated Charles they would have warned her of the alleged affair with Camilla? The press started the Camilla lies with much help from Diana and Ghastly Burrell,
Diana was ill, Burrell has a new book out

^Do the British public really still believe in the divine right of Kings?^
😂😂😂

No-one has believed in that for centuries. Not since the Bill of Rights in 1689!

Oh, there are so many misconceptions about the rôle of the Monarchy, they are almost comical.

I think you misunderstood.Allira

I know about the Glorious Revolution 1688 blah blah
James II deposed in favour or William and Mary blah blah
Constitutional monarchy from then on blah blah
Following Bill of Rights Act 1689

Still after all this, all those years ago, a few Brits still seem to think that having no other qualification other than being born into the firm, the royals are not as ordinary mortals and are above us and do have to obey the same rules as the rest of us.

Maybe they should make him Governor of some far away island. The Falklands?

Allira Tue 21-Oct-25 18:27:23

No fair on Falkland Islanders!

MollyNew Tue 21-Oct-25 18:47:01

Can Andrew move into an apartment in Kensington Palace? The Kents live there and William has an office there. He could get a job as a tour guide.

No fair on Falkland Islanders!

I would personally escort him and her to Elephant Island in the South Atlantic. One of the most god forsaken places on earth.
And he’s not allowed to take his skis ( it snows a lot ) 😂

He’d fail his DBS check

Smileless2012 Tue 21-Oct-25 19:26:41

Would he J52? He hasn't been charged with anything.

Police force wide incidents and intelligence can be shared if in the public interest 😉

Anniebach Tue 21-Oct-25 20:17:20

If he had been charged with anything the press would certainly know

J52 Tue 21-Oct-25 21:10:08

It was a light hearted quip, in answer to MollyNew’s last sentence.

Noooo!

Not fair on William.

I think he should go and live next to his nephew Harry. Family ties and all that.

vegansrock Wed 22-Oct-25 05:16:54

He’s not been charged with anything as his mum paid £12million for civil case to be dropped. Paid to a woman he claims never to have met . Hmmm.

Sarnia Wed 22-Oct-25 08:28:40

I cannot see the King ousting Andrew and Fergie out of the country but they do need to keep a very low profile.
There has been a lot mentioned about Andrew's removal from his current home but he has always come across as the most entitled of our late Queen's children and will see it as his right to live somewhere ostentatious. Neither of them are going to be bringing in any significant sums of money and neither of them are any good at managing it, always got their hands held out for cash and freebies and I think this may be what prompts a move to somewhere smaller and more affordable in the future.

Visgir1 Wed 22-Oct-25 08:41:39

No one knows the contents of the late Queen's Will. For all we know she could have left Andrew enough money to live well for the rest of his life, she probably did.
The lazy arrogant waste of space is probably not worried in the slightest.

merlotgran Wed 22-Oct-25 09:44:02

The king should leave Andrew in Royal Lodge as it crumbles around him. Nobody else wants it and keeping him within the confines of Windsor Great Park prevents him from setting up another support network as he could easily do if exiled to another country.

Crossstitchfan Wed 22-Oct-25 10:17:59

‘Lazy, arrogant waste of space’! Love it!

He certainly has in the media, including GN.

The andrew formerly known as prince.
As seen on MN is an appropriate term for him.

Smileless2012 Wed 22-Oct-25 10:38:55

Yes that's true Mollygo.
