Same! a few years ago, gd's black knickers, same as mine......somewhat smaller, well a lot smaller. Shock! how the hell did I grow out of my knickers over night A nano second of horror came over me until the truth dawned. Phew

When our youngest son was around 6 he decided he wanted to wear boxer shorts like Daddy

Role on a dark winter morning, DH was heading off to work earlier than usual, I was woken up to him cursing and literally jumping round the bedroom with his foot caught in DS’s teddy print boxers. I couldn’t help him for laughing.

I once wore DH’s Levi’s all day, I had no idea why the crotch area was very uncomfortable.

I once spent a morning at work with one leg through the waist and the hole the leg should have been in round my waist. Couldn't understand how my waist had expanded so much during the night.

My DH struggled to get his legs in his underpants one morning this week, whilst getting ready in semi darkness.
He then realised he was trying to put on my black cropped tshirt that I wear under a pinafore! It had ended up in his underwear drawer.

A kind person in the queue behind me in a shop once told me I had my dress on inside out.

In a similar vein, my three year old grandson came to stay for the week yesterday and at bedtime almost needed to be cut out of the top he was wearing (it was almost a toss up between that or chopping his nose off) - turns out it’s to fit a 9-24 months old!! 🥴

we were at daughter and s i l for a week, babysitting, one little dress in particular always felt tight on gd, but it was the correct size,,had buttons down the back, next time her mum dressed her in the same dress, I noticed the buttons were supposed to be down the front, I was struggling to get her little arms in the dress..,,

When my son was a few months old his three year old sister squeezed herself into one of his babygros and ran off down the road. Years later our neighbours still remembered the vision!

One morning at work I realized there was a lump inside the leg of my trousers. Thank goodness I went to the washroom to investigate... It was a pair of undies that had been caught up during washing and drying.

Imagine if they fell out on their own !

Gosh I needed these laugh out loud moments. Brilliant!

When our 2 DD's were aged about 8 & 10, they liked to paint ex-DH's fingernails with nail varnish, draw on his face with face paints, hang clothes-pegs in his hair (usually while he was watching the telly, and not taking much notice!). He was very tolerant.
One Monday morning at his workplace (he was a Senior Manager), someone pointed out that he had pink fingernails! He'd completely forgotten that weekends shenanigans!

DS3 was small for his age but when aged about 12 asked if he could have underpants that didn't have a Mothercare label. He was being teased in the high school changing room.
To be fair to myself I think Mothercare was
experimenting with an older child
range in those days.

Thank you ladies for your knicker stories. I'm living through the stress of moving house. Up again at 4am, surrounded by boxes and so much to do. You've given me some much needed light relief.

The first time I babysat my DGD I received a text message from my DD afterwards asking how I had managed to put her nappy on back to front!

My daughter had a rattle which was a large see through plastic ball with several small coloured balls that rattled inside. It was on a plastic stick with a suction pad on the end. If you stuck it to the side of the bath she could play with it. However, DH, decided to suction it onto his forehead and run around the room shouting: I am a dalek, much to daughter's joy. Sadly, when he took the suction pad off, it left a big round red circle in the middle of his forehead. He had to walk around for days till it wore off.

I recall being mortified when a nursery nurse reported to me that my three year old had told her that it was her daddy’s birthday and he got some new underpants because his old ones were dirty and full of holes.
She was very amused.

Mum's knickers decided to give up during a Scottish Country dancing demonstration. They dropped around her ankles so she danced out of them and continued!

For some reason, for years my DH would pass any of his socks that had shrunk to our sons. Unfortunately they were all taller than him and had bigger feet than he did. I don’t think we ever got him out of the habit!!
