Good Morning , I’ve managed to nip in before noon !
The clock changing always confuses me and it takes me ages to get used to things
My cleaning lady is away for 3 weeks , imagine my surprise when I got home from Mass to find mops ,pails and dusters in the kitchen , my eldest daughter was in full flight ,
The vacuum bag is changed , she thought it was broken ! But it roared into life
I use a brush and dustpan between Cleaners visits so hadn’t noticed ! Much muttering !
I am very appreciative of both my cleaners efforts and my Daughters intervention, I was planning on a gentle wipe around 🙄
I’ll sit and crochet , and brush up the dust later !
Hoping for the best day for all

Good Morning from the East Sussex coast to Mick and everybody. Really cold today but sunny too and I will be going for a walk by the sea with my son and his partner who are staying here overnight from London.
They are vegan (I'm not) and I am rather proud of a splendid artichoke, dried tomato and Borlotti Bean stew I made last night!
Good morning from damp South Lanarkshire, I don’t know if we had a lovely sky earlier since I stayed up late and woke up at my usual eight o’clock so without meaning to I’ve slid easily through the time change. Vigil mass last night so a calm start to the day.
Quite a bit of tidying to do here, so that’s my unexciting plan for today. Rather a lot of sickness and sadness among my friends recently proving hard to deal with.
Special thoughts and prayers for all on here who need them and sending good wishes to all.
Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, but rain is expected this afternoon, just as well I have no plans to go out.
Met a friend at the cinema yesterday to see a National Theatre production of 'Mrs Warren 's Profession'; very good acting all round.
Panic last night as I realised I'd booked a cinema visit on the same day as DD's next band concert! Managed to change it, but unfortunately have lost the money for the original booking. That'll teach me to keep my calendar up to date.
Expecting DD-out-law to drop by today to deliver DGD2's school trousers which need shortening, grandma to the rescue again!
Today I intend to sew up a cardigan which I actually finished knitting about a year ago and had completely forgotten about! The.wool for a new cardigan arrived yesterday which jogged my memory.
Apart from that just the weekend newspapers to catch up with.
Lamb steak and baby new potatoes for dinner.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
My personal clock is still set on summer time so I am well ahead of myself this morning. Frustrating, as our service is not till 11.00 am instead of the usual 10.00 am. Forecast suggests sun till mid-morning and rain approaching as the day goes on so may or may not get into the garden later on. Hope today is kind to everyone.
Good morning from a very rainy Lancashire. The forecast is dire for this week so the Big Coats will be needed as we dodge rain showers. My daily walks do me so much good, I hope we are still able to get out despite the weather.
That’s so awful Susan and just not acceptable. I hope things improve for your mother, washing and dressing are such basic needs.
So sorry to hear your DH is suffering Dragonfly and hope he is on the mend soon. It’s difficult to feel positive in that position but I’m sure your visits must help.
Hoping for a positive outcome tomorrow FGT2.
I must get a wiggle on, I’ve finished my breakfast and meds and need to get showered and dressed. This bed is too comfy! Those flamingos are not going to find themselves 🦩🦩🦩
Wishing you all the best day possible, whatever the circumstances. 🌹
Good morning from a chilly Black Country, with very dark and ominous looking clouds overhead.
Took Mum for her flu and Covid jabs yesterday and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. Mum was impressed as she said she never felt a thing, and thanked the Nurse.
Sad news as my cousin rang to say her brother who lived in Spain had died recently. She couldn't even go to the funeral as they are done within 3 days over there. I hadn't seen him since he moved over there 10 years ago. So sad as he was 3 years younger than me at 69.
So after housework this morning, pop into town for a few bits and bobs and a bereavement card for my Cousin (his sister)
So sorry to hear about your DH Dragonfly I hope there is an improvement for him today.
Wishing you all the best day possible
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. I have slept well.
We walked to the Church Hall for a twice postponed concert last night. I hadn't researched the trio so was delighted that the guitarist is the son of my dear friend who died in March...hence the first cancellation.
The second storm Amy.
The walk down the hill on a cold clear night was beautiful. My pal came in for a cuppa and we talked about the injustices in the world including my planning refusal. She thinks I must appeal!
Today potting and maybe more apple pressing. I spent a couple of hours helping to press yesterday.
Have safe journeys Ash and
Karma
I hope Dragonfly's DH is over the worst. Thinking of you.
So distressing for you Susan. I hope that doesn't happen again.
Enjoy your extra hour everyone.
I chuckled at your silky typo today

Morning, a late one from a bright but cool S Hants, today I shall adopt my Mum’s mantra of Sunday being a day of rest, apart from cooking Swede for tonight and a quick walk.
Such a rough time for her Sar it must be quite depressing and worrying.
Safe travels Ash and karma.
I understand about your Mum Susan it’s humiliating.
Hoping for a better day dragonfly for your husband.

Good morning from a sunny south coast. I slept late as I’m feeling a bit ropey after yesterday’s’flu’ jab. I don’t normally get a reaction but a headache and dry cough don’t make me feel like doing very much.
Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday.
Good morning from a damp northwest coast. The opera concert went well last night, helped enormously by our baritone host who presented it in a very professional way. Some of us were chilly in evening dresses, but the place warmed up. Afterwards we all gathered locally for an after show drink which was fun.
DD, (from the south) DS and DGD (Yorkshire) arrive later, I have a chicken to roast.
Thoughts to dragonfly and our travellers🌺
Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, where it is 6°C.
Hopefully a restful day ahead, apart from Covid and 'flu vaccinations.
We are not expecting any visitors today, we saw Dollie and her parents last night. I hardly recognised her, she was dressed in the latest fashion, including fingerless sparkly gloves. #Little Miss Trendy. 😂
Susan, how upsetting for you. I had a similar situation with my mum and was saddened by her loss of dignity.
Safe journey to Ash and Karma.
I was upset to read your sad post Dragonfly, a worrying time for you. 😔
I shall wish you all a pleasant Sunday.
Good morning from a sunny but cold Essex coast.
DH has just left for an away rugby game, a big rush to get out as we overslept.
I shall roast a chicken this morning ready to eat later after a visit to the club for a quick drink.
S is on her second course of antibiotics and spent Friday night in hospital. She was admitted 3 times last week, nebuliser, steroids and then sent home. It's almost like a sticking plaster. My poor daughter doesn't know what to do for the best.
I'm sending my very best wishes to dragonfly and her DH and hoping they have better news soon.
Enjoy Sunday and best wishes to all xx
Good morning from a sunny but very chilly Suffolk.Dragonfly I hope your DH has a better day today and you find comfort in that. I hope others feeling unwell have a good day.
DH and I are going to a friends for drinks at midday. She has been a stalwart of the church for more than the 40 years we have lived here and she is moving from the village to the local town. She will be so sorely missed and irreplaceable in just getting on doing what needs doing without fuss.
Excuse the typos 🤷♀️
since silly oclock not wine silky o’clock
Good morning everyone from Inverness, where its a grey and cloudy start of the day, unfortunately no beautiful sunrise here today
How awful for your mum Susan no wonder you’re angry and upset
Hope your DH improves a bit soon dragonfly
I’ve nothing much planned for today but lots of jobs to keep me busy so I’ll just get on with those. DH will probably do something exciting like a tip run and I’ll maybe meet him at the garden centre for a coffee on his way back
Its always good to find a new walk roses especially if close to home, it sounds beautiful
Safe travels karma and Ash and everyone else travelling today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings💐
Dragonfly sorry to hear about your DH. Hope you see an improvement today
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is up in a clear sky in South Yorkshire, but it’s positively nithering this morning. Winter, it seems, has its drawers on. I had a wakeful night again. The toes on my right foot were giving me jip. I suspect it’s arthritis.
The family are coming for a roast dinner earlier than usual today and I hope that while they are here we may get my living room curtains re-hung. I haven’t missed them - they are never drawn and I have blinds - but they make the windows look “dressed” and as it cost me an arm and a leg to get them dry cleaned it’s silly to leave them lying on the spare bed!
dragonfly 💐
Have the best day you can, folks.
Safe journeys to our traveler’s
Sorry your DH is so poorly dragonfly
We have the 8yr old GD and her 6yr old brother her, have been up wine silky o’clock as their body clocks do not immediately adjust to the clock change.
Good morning all. It’s very cold but the sun is shining here in Essex.
Yesterday ds1 took me into town and I got all the things I needed. He scooped up Dh and took him to a local footie match but it poured at half time and they returned rather damp.
Too much tv for me yesterday and by 9 o’clock I’d had enough and we both went to bed. My eye was sore but that’s to be expected.
Another day of resting and I think I’ll be ok.🤞.
Roast chicken today.,Dd might come over but she’s not feeling too good and youngest DGD is returning from a weekend away with big sis, so I expect she’ll stay home and await her return.
Susan that’s so upsetting. I remember this sort of thing happening to my mum. Have a strong word to the manager.
Karma and Ash safe journeys.🙏.
Dragonfly I hope your DH is feeling brighter today. It’s horrible to see them so down.💐. Still early days.
Bellasnanna enjoy your last day (for now) with your friend.
Take care 🌻
dragonfly I’m so sorry that your DH is so poorly and hope that his condition improves soon. Sending you a virtual hug.
Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s a lovely sunny start to Sunday, but a chilly 3 degrees outside. A sunny morning is forecast, with rain later.
I went for a walk yesterday morning, but was a bit late for the usual dog walkers. Had a nice chat to a gentleman who was walking round, only 5 weeks since a knee replacement and walking without sticks!
I changed the bed clothes and put the 10.5 tog duvet on. It felt heavy last night but I slept very well under it!
DD1 and family called in during the afternoon. The granddaughters are into simple origami at the moment and the 7 year old made me two swans!
I’ll go for a walk this morning, well wrapped up against the cold.. The bedclothes are in the wash and I’ll do the towels later during the half price electricity period.
Safe travels to karma and ash, hope it’s a smooth crossing for you.
I hope all those who are suffering in any way find some comfort today.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from South Lanarkshire. I’ve been sitting at my bedroom window for an hour watching the glorious sunrise. It’s one of those moments when I feel so grateful to be alive.
Mass then teas in the hall, I’ll help with the washing up.
We didn’t go to DD’s yesterday but she’s asked us over for dinner, everybody will be at home so I’m looking forward to it.
My best wishes to everyone travelling today and those who have troubles to bear.
Good morning all from a sunny Black country after overnight frost.
Quiet day today just a bit of packing for our few days away in Wales with the family, we are going by train so that should be fun.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning from a sunny East Midlands.
My usually sunny natured DH was looking very sad yesterday. He is covered in tubes and bags and told me he didn’t want to be there.
I am worried that he maybe losing his mobility.
DS has decided to stay longer than planned as he can work from here.
He is going to cook roast chicken tonight!
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
