Good morning from Ludlow.A mixed forecast today which will hopefully be better than yesterdays heavy rain.

DH wants to explore the castle today so I plan to visit St Laurences church and also have a look around the town.

Good news about your son grandMattie.

I hope Grandmabatty and her DGS had successful outcomes at their medical appointments yesterday.

Wishing everyone the best day possible🌻🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9° and damp. GrandMattie I'm very glad that your ds is safe. Ashcombe I have heard of The two Mr Ps. Much of what they say resonates! Bellasnana enjoy your doggy company.
Yesterday I was at the doctor's at ten, the hospital at eleven and home by half twelve having called in to see dgs2 on the way. Quick and efficient service from my local NHS. The upshot is, my leg is not broken but there is soft tissue damage. Rest and elevate until the results reach my GP who will contact me then. In other words, keep it til it gets better. 😂 He gave me ointment for my swollen eye too. Later I had a number of little guisers and ran out of sweets. Fortunately I had made two special bags for dgss who arrived just before seven. They didn't stay long as the were tired. Dgs2 is on stookie number three, a fetching pink colour. It is looking increasingly likely that he will have surgery on Monday to pin his elbow.
Today I'm expecting a Marks delivery of another new jacket. Then a Tesco delivery this afternoon. I will definitely rest as I had a rotten night. Lots of gentle pottering in the house. Dinner will be beef olives in onion gravy. Have a good day all.

Morning Mick, morning All from a damp corner of Somerset. Showers forecast today and for the next week.

It’s been a frustrating week with little going to plan. Yesterday was no exception, my admin session was fraught. Family worries are interrupting sleep meaning patience is in short supply along with energy.

There’s space today to sort out guest bedroom which is full of all manner of things. I’ll enjoy that, some order might help me order my head. A lunch at our little garden centre will bring smiles then a foray to a supermarket for food for tomorrow when our friend will be here (daughter of the recently deceased couple). It will be good to see her. I’ll also shop for our neighbours, both have horrendous colds needing antibiotics for chest infections. They rarely allow help, an indicator of how unwell they feel.

That is good news about your son grandmattie, you’ve another busy day ahead.

Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning from a breezy but dry Torbay.

We had a lovely meal last night as a belated anniversary celebration with attentive, friendly service. I was pleased that we had no trick or treaters so my windows remained egg free, unlike a couple of times in the past.

Early Lidl shop today then some domestic chores before I go to the local theatre on the Downs to hear The Two Mr. P's with whose podcasts you might be familiar.. They are both in teaching and their show is based on anecdotes gleaned from their day to day life in school.

Good morning, Michael from South Yorkshire. A moody start weather wise but it doesn’t look too damp. I have an early start. DS is coming down to spend the day with me. I shall cook him lunch and hope we might be able to get out a bit, but just his company will be welcome.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from s somerset, rain today and perhaps bright skies

No heat input was needed yesterday, I am learning a lot about this house, how it handles temperature, I am pleasantly surprised if truth be told. The temperatures are still comfortable this morning and my body has adapted well.

The pullout larder is now fixed, it was an easy fix, thank goodness and I can pull it out all the way now, I did also check the screws on the base, I had to put two more in for safety soon after I moved in.

I decided to spend money on 12 more 10" tall 4" square oxo pop containers. I already have 12 and I put labels on their lids. They are neat and on the bottom shelf, the next 12 will go on the second shelf. No getting away from the fact that I have been a wholefood eater since the 70s and have lots of different beans, seeds, grains etc to store. Odds and end of containers make it difficult to find items. Amazon were £3 cheaper than lakeland and they are coming today. I am looking forward to finishing that job

Kitchen is clean and tidy, just the en suite to do and bed-making later then another sock to make. Size 12 is big and I use a socker to measure foot length. I felt cosy all day yesterday, a lovely feeling and I believe today will be the same but with a lit stove late afternoon and an exercise walk between showers

Have a good day

Good morning from Malta where the forecast is for 26°C and a chance of showers. We haven’t had a drop of rain all week despite being warned to expect it.

Yesterday I had the boys from 7.30am so we had a busy day. They don’t stop for a minute but were both happy. I am glad to see them playing together a lot more now. They spent ages just marching round, DGS2 with a bag on his head which DGS1 found hilarious so lots of giggles ensued!

I had to take them with me to the hairdresser then they had exhausted themselves by 3pm and fell asleep on me.

I was pinned under the two of them when DD3 arrived, fortunately she has a key, she then took DGS1 for a haircut whilst his brother slept on until 4.30.

They left at 5.30 by which time I was worn out but had to take delivery of their little dog Milo, and the canary. DGS2 cried his heart out when he saw SiL taking them to the car as he thought they were being given away forever!

They will be on their way to Sicily on the catamaran now.

The dog is very feisty but I’m fond of him and actually slept better with his warm little body nestled in my back! I don’t approve of dogs on beds but this one does what he wants.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments yesterday on DD2’s cake and cookies. She was very appreciative when I passed them on to her.

Hoping the rain stays off so I can take Milo for a walk. He is not very friendly towards other dogs or people he doesn’t know so it might be a challenge!

Best of luck today with the fête, grandMattie, how lovely to have Iris with you to help out. Glad to hear your son is safe, what a worry for you.💐

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

I meant to add that, despite the internet mostly being down in Tanzania, DS has managed to get a message to us. He is safe, the violence and rioting is mostly elsewhere and the school campus is in total lockdown.
One very relieved mother - having lost one offspring, I can’t bear the idea of losing another.

Good morning, happy November! White rabbits or whatever the saying is 😊
It’s soggy in south Glos after yesterday’s deluges, I hope it’s a bit drier today.
I had a lovely morning at art group, finished another painting- I’m on a roll!
That’s the third in a row; since I moved away from struggling with just using watercolour I am really enjoying it! Just wish I’d done it years ago 😁
I didn’t do much for the rest of the day, I came home to the grocery delivery heaped up in the kitchen, then had to get lunch so a bit of a scramble.
Today I want to get on with sorting out my wardrobes, there’s a collection for charity booked for Wednesday, three bags so far, then some art fun.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day 🌹

White rabbits 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇
Good morning from Bristol. It’s damp out, but less rain is forecast that I had thought, good for the fete this afternoon.
Yesterday was quiet. I was a good girl and did my Spanish homework - conditional tense! I also made myself a Shakshouka for dinner; too much as usual so shall have it for several nights, including tonight when I shall probably be beyond tired.
In the afternoon, the gentle tea with neighbours turned out to be a thorough going through the proposed budget for 26/27! TBH, I don’t know why we are asked to comment, because none of our complaints or suggestions will make the blindest bit of difference.
Today, I’ve got the local Dementia charity’s fete in the church, where the vicar volunteered me to be in charge of catering. Iris is coming to help but she’ll be selling raffle tickets, I hope. I shall be exhausted being tactful to two dragons in their 80s “who always serve”, as well as the rest!
May you all have a good weekend full of metaphorical sunshine.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from Lancashire. It's wild out there this morning....rain lashing against the windows and strong winds. I shall probably stay in today and finish my sewing.
