Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

I had some good news and some not so good news earlier this week following my blood tests. Potassium and sodium are now up in the normal range. Urea and creatinine are higher. I have CKD, so this could indicate my kidneys are getting worse but it may be a one off due to recent health issues. I have a telephone appointment next Tuesday to discuss. My existing ailments have not gone away of course, but I’m feeling pretty good, and very relieved about the sodium. MrB and I have spent most of the week outdoors, walking. We want to make the most of this time together.

Thinking of our poorly grans and those with troubles, as always.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing 🦩🦩🦩

Gangster, good luck with installation. I have just moved house leaving a wood burner. Can't have one installed in the new house. Checked with everyone. I really miss it. Better than watching tv

Gingster Fri 07-Nov-25 08:55:36

Good morning.
Just waiting In for our new woodburner to be installed.

It will be a day of tea making and making decisions I expect.

Take care and keep well 🍂

Good morning from murky East Midlands.

Not such a good day yesterday. I felt the nurses had closed the door to my DHs room and were ignoring him. I saw the nutritionist and they are hopeful things are going in the right direction albeit slowly.
DD went home but DS is staying until Sunday - he is missing his children.

A fish and chip van has started coming to the end of our road every Friday so that is dinner sorted.

hollysteers Fri 07-Nov-25 08:45:48

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Mild weather and I had a nice walk in the sandhills at the bottom of the road followed by the usual housework and a salmon fillet in the evening.
Today to art and I have planned a bus trip to Lichfield tomorrow so I’m looking forward to that.

I hope your ailments improve Rose and harrigran.🌺

Good morning all. Rain overnight in Glasgow which should dry up with the forecast of a day of sunshine which has already appeared, mild and calm. A good day to spend in the garden.

New blinds for my bedroom windows will be fitted today and I can dispose of the hurried design for privacy, squares of spotted wrapping paper secured around the edges to the glass with a surround of green frogger masking tape halfway up each window, a total of seven leaded glass. Neighbours will be thinking I have lost my marbles.

I do feel for you Roses. Out of nowhere in the 80’s, my late DH developed Urticaria, was seen by various specialists and no joy there, telling him it was stress related. I started a food diary for him and we discovered he was lactose intolerant. Have you been tested for shingles? I hope you find a solution soon.
Those poor boys GM to be stuck with those pretentious monikers.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning everyone from a beautiful morning on the East coast.
It’s mild, the garden has a fine mist with all the autumn colours and the long tail tits came out en mass. Wow it certainly lifts your heart.

Child care is over this week so I’m going to the gym later this morning but before I go I’ll put a chicken curry into the slow cooker. I use a recipe online by Taming Twins it’s a very tasty one. I’ll switch it on when I get back.
This afternoon I’m making a roasted pumpkin and root veg soup. A ghost pumpkin bought for 10p and a stew pack with lots of warming spices will be lovely for lunch tomorrow. I’m not a great cook but the enthusiasm is sometimes there.
Our friends have rescued an older dog so I will go over and say hello. I have a parcel to post on Vinted as well and possibly have one to pick up. I’m a Vinted girl which I’m enjoying.

Hope you all fine some moments of joy today. Thoughts to those who are struggling. 🍁🍂

For once, BabyD did not win the stand off.

However, I did have to bribe her with a jelly baby. 😉
All my principles have gone out of the window.

grandMattie Fri 07-Nov-25 08:21:37

Water’s back. Yay!🙌 👏

Good Morning from Durham, where it’s still and grey. I felt unwell and unsettled yesterday, did nothing and lolled around in my dressing gown all day. When the gardeners arrived unexpectedly, I just hid!!
I’m meeting DD2 this afternoon for our nail appointments, then I’m heading into Newcastle and might meet up with DD1 and DGS1 after school to see the Christmas lights. I am not fond of Christmas (understatement) but put on a happy face around the DGSs. I am a real Bah Humbug!

Hoping there’s an improvement health wise for those unwell.

Best wishes for all. X

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow.

As usual, I'm exhausted after a day with Babydoll, who never stopped, needed a nap, but fought it all afternoon.
Not surprisingly, she fell asleep, just when it was time to go home.
Trying to get her dead weight into her car seat was nigh on impossible.
She had a ball on the way to the Health Centre, kicking leaves and splashing in puddles. It took so long, that I had to go on ahead or I would have been late.
When I left the health Centre, I heard a fishwife like voice, screaming in delight, when she saw me.

Walking along to the pharmacy, she stopped dead, turned and said, Need a cuddle, Ga Ga. A few minutes later, she stopped again, threw her arms around my legs, saying, Need a bigger cuddle, Ga, Ga.
I could feel my eyes welling up, for she is normally not a demonstrative child and it was just what I needed.
When we got to Asda, she refused to go in the trolley, trollies are for babies.
Later in the pharmacy, she asked me to hide her bear, ^ because a baby might see it and want it!^
What on earth goes on in her head?

I had no idea, who had ordered my blood tests, there was no indication on my appointment letter.
I almost cancelled it, because I thought it was the one, I already had at a different venue and kept getting appointments for it.
It turned out, that one of the RA consultants had requested it, because being on biologics requires mandatory blood monitoring.
My inflammatory markers also need checked. It was reassuring, that someone was on the ball.
If only my GP surgery, could learn a lesson from the rheumatology dept.

We have Dollie until Monday, her parents are off to a wedding in England.
She will be ensconced in my conservatory and I will be decanted to the kitchen, where I belong. 😉

Pants, occasionally, I sleep in the spare room, if my coughing is keeping DH awake.
He doesn't like it. Both my heart attacks happened, when I was sleeping alone and DH didn't hear me, due to his snoring.
We sleep together, DH insists. However, he doesn't have to listen to his foghorn snoring.

Today, I need to move all the Christmas presents from the spare room for Dollie's sleepover and more importantly hide Dollie's birthday presents.

Best wishes to all, especially those, who are struggling. Better news yesterday, Dragonfly and hope your boy isn't in too much discomfort, GMB.

Good morning everyone from a very grey but dry Northampton. Rain forecast later; was going to the shops but think I'll leave it till tomorrow.

A day at home yesterday; changed the.bed, damp-dusted and tidied all the bedrooms, did a load of washing,.which then had 30 mins in the tumble dryer. Then a Sainsbury's delivery sorted and put away, some stuff straight into the freezer for Christmas.

Some new shoes arrived, but sadly they are too tight for me, so will need to be returned - luckily we have a Pavers store the other side of town, so that will be an outing in the.next couple of weeks.

Dance classes this morning, coffee afterwards, then home to probably continue with my new knitting.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Grandmabatty Fri 07-Nov-25 08:15:59

I don't think Peli from USA has posted for a while. I hope she's ok

Liberty Fri 07-Nov-25 08:15:55

Good morning from a bright sunny Suffolk. I have a hair appointment at the hairdressers which is my chance to catch up with the gossip in our nearest town.

After that,I’m going to pick up 2 dear friends and take them to Dunwich for lunch as neither can drive any longer. The weather,if it lasts,is a real bonus as the pub where we’ll have lunch is very close to the beach and,if J’s health is up to it,we can have a little stroll and get a few lungsful of sea air.

Hope today is a good one for all.

harrigran Fri 07-Nov-25 08:15:25

Good morning from a dull NE, it was very foggy overnight.
Yesterday evening my left hand started to stiffen up and became very painful. I applied painkiller gel but it hasn't worked, I have barely slept.
Today I am going out for lunch with my friend, not sure I will be able to manage to hold a fork.
Have a good day.

Maremia Fri 07-Nov-25 08:14:49

Good morning and the sun is shining in. Great start to the day.

Grammaretto Fri 07-Nov-25 08:12:16

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's dry and possibly cooler. I'm in a t-shirt without heating.
I was active yesterday with yoga in the morning and our DIY ceilidh dancing in the evening. I had to call one of the dances. 40 people came and newbies were amazed at how hot they became. The band was great and there were many smiling faces.

Today I have my volunteer shift at our community shop. I must unpack my kiln and prepare for the exhibition opening on Sunday. It's the same 8 artists as last year but a different space.

I've invited people to dinner tonight so will need to cook something nice.

Your neighbour will be traumatised Kitty. Her injuries sound horrific.

Poor you M0nica do you suppose it's a reaction to your move?

Have the best day you can everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 07-Nov-25 08:03:31

Morning all from a dampish West Oxfordshire.

OH and I have had separate rooms for over ten years. It isn’t just the snoring, he has restless legs syndrome so disturbs himself constantly.

We had a lovely lunch yesterday with old friends. They are much older than us and D is quite unwell with a multitude of ailments. Intellectually he is absolutely on the ball but physically failing.

Today we are collecting the fruits of our pottery class from a couple of weeks ago! I may post pictures!

Karma - I have made Delia’s cake every year for a long time. This year I’ve made a six inch square one, other years when I am expecting a big Christmas, I’ve made an eight or nine inch square cake.

Thinking of all those with difficulties. 🪻

Jaxjacky Fri 07-Nov-25 08:02:39

Morning from a dull S Hants, rain due at tea/pub time. MrJ, a gentle snorer, is out already on a voluntary drive, traffic will be dire.
Yesterday I tackled the mobiles and Sky contracts, all had expired, so played the ‘what can you do for me or I might go elsewhere’ game, such a dance.
Pub patio is planted out with bulbs and viola; stretch class, grocery delivery and pub today.
That’s annoying gMattie.
A weight off your mind Grandmabatty, not hovering to be done.
I hope for better news for the poorlies.

Good morning all, I have been up for ages, the 10yr old has just gone to school.

I am going to lay on bed with toast and a latte, before getting ready for the gym.

Indian restaurant for dinner tonight 🙋‍♀️
