What do you think Sarah Ferguson will do?

I'm not sympathising with her predicament, but - she's not part of the Royal Family, won't be living with Andrew and he can't afford to support her. She probably still has loads of debt. Her reputation is ruined. Where do you think she will go and live if she can't afford a place? I'm thinking she should go and live with one of her daughters.

She seems a similar character as Andrew but with a less boorish, rude side.
She’s also, like Andrew, always on the look out for freebies.

Whatever her failings, which are many, I think (and hope) she will be very protective of the reputation of her daughters, and not want them involved in any of her issues. For their sakes, if both their parents were out of the UK and they were permitted to live their unremarkable lives without parental millstones around their necks that would be a fair outcome.

Suzieque66 Sun 09-Nov-25 12:10:34

Dont care what happens to her ... as I think she enabled him to behave in a unsuitable way for a member of the Royal Family .. they are both awful people ..

Homestead62 Sun 09-Nov-25 12:13:47

I really don't care.

BlueBelle Sun 09-Nov-25 12:14:41

Suzieque whatever she is or isn’t I do not think you can blame her for Andrew’s behaviour I doubt anyone could make Andrew DO something, he comes across as very entitled and bullish

She should join a dating site,

"single and ready to mingle. Looking for elderly millionnaire who loves corgis "

Reading this really amazes me- I hope someone has time to answer my questions, which are not meant as citicisms or sarcastically.

Do divorced women in the UK still expect to be "kept" by their husbands? In Scandinavia, we earn our own living, whether we are single, married, divorced or widowed. And we certainly do not move in with our children! Do people commonly do so in the UK?

Surely, Sarah Ferguson has money in the bank - if not, I suggest she changes her name by deed poll, dyes her hair and starts looking for a job. Hard to find at her age, but presumably she will find something, if she does not qualify for and old age pension.

BlueBelle Sun 09-Nov-25 14:12:49

No not in my world AuntieE I had three young children and never had a penny off him I worked all ways I could to get around school times working nights for seven years, after the eldest one was15/ 16 so I could be there in the day to cook and clean the house and shop for food etc etc
I don’t know ANYBODY who has been kept by an ex

However you are talking about the rich and pampered in this thread so quite, quite different

BlueBelle Sun 09-Nov-25 14:14:30

Oh and in answer to your last question I don’t know anyone who has moved in with their children unless very old and infirm perhaps but I know children who have moved back home to save money etc

Having ridden on Andrew's coat tails for so many years, enjoying the funds, the beautiful home, and so many benefits, now that they have fallen from grace SF is no longer intending to live with him. Perhaps the strain of the mutual downfall is too much to bear in close proximity to each other. In fact it isn't just downfall, they must be in freefall. Attempting to get a life of sorts together after this catastrophe will be a challenge.

I think that some of the comments on here are downright toxic and quite unnecessary. She and the rest of her family are people with feelings. Her lovely daughters must be very hurt about what has happened with their parents. What is the point of rubbing salt into the wounds? It just seems cruel to me.

Smileless2012 Sun 09-Nov-25 15:02:44

I've no idea what she'll do but if she chooses to withdraw from public scrutiny, I hope that she'll be able to do so without being hounded by the press and constantly vilified on social media.

I think that some of the comments on here are downright toxic and quite unnecessary I completely agree dalrymple.

She's made her bed and must lie on it.

So it seems are politicians in high places.

Both daughters are married to very wealthy men so she will probably sponge off of them.

In what way are politicians relevant to a thread about Sarah Ferguson, you’ve lost me, or were you just making a dig?

I agree with Iam64, they do seem similar characters, big spenders and freeloaders.

She already writes fiction but I think her publisher may have dropped her.

HS62 Mon 10-Nov-25 13:58:09

I think a Prince, title or not, will never be short of money, so could easily afford to support ex wife. Sarah was also born into money. I dont believe either will be living on a street pavement, begging like the average man has to. Its all lies as far as im concerned. X

knspol Mon 10-Nov-25 13:59:50

I think I read sometime ago that she had bought a house in London this was before all the talk of Andrew being moved out of his current home. She seemed to have picked herself up from rock bottom once before and I expect she'll do it again with the help of wealthy friends - if there are still any left! Don't really care.

Geordiegirl1 Mon 10-Nov-25 14:02:46

They have beggared off abroad already!

Lostmyglassesxx Mon 10-Nov-25 14:07:28

She has two wealthy son in laws
She is very good at getting freebies
She sold flat in Belgravia for 3 mill
All her money has come from very dubious routes
She will not disconnect herself from her ex because they need to be in league to keep the stories straight .. I think she s rather pathetic but I am not drumming up sympathy
The writing is on the wall for the monarchy what with this lot and prince has been and his witchy wife in LA . They need to really change the perception rapidly .

Yes how would she earn any money if no-one would touch her with a bargepole - no charities, no publishing houses.

Why? She has done her best to earn her way, although not very good at managing money. Brought up to be a decorative wife and marry well. Not really her fault that she married a frog.

If her books are making money, then they will publish another. She has been the face of charities, and yes they may not want her, but SHE has done what was expected of her with them - however, I expect that although she was entitled to keep the title, shoe will now lose it, and charities will lose out as a result

Benidorm?

She was villified by the press from the outset. Images of Diana were always elegant, but she was pictured getting badly out of taxis; every lb she put on was reported in the press; every not-so-great hat spread all over the papers. When her divorce cam through, they hounded her with long shots of her with her boyfriend.
It seemed that she made peace with Andrew, and nasty comments about freeloading abounded.

LaTroisette Mon 10-Nov-25 14:33:23

Try to marry a Trump. She's a pretty good grifter, she'll fit right in.
