Good morning, it’s damp here in south Glos, still mild for the time of the year.
Yesterday we had a lovely early dog walk, very atmospheric like the Hounds of the Baskerville with fog rolling across the common but glimpses of bright sunshine through the trees. Very muddy and slippery underfoot, I really must get some boots with good tread, my wellies definitely aren’t suitable.
I pruned my roses when I got back, I have a bunch of the last buds in a vase.
There’s still a lot of insect life in my garden, including bees, so I haven’t done much in the way of tidying; it doesn’t look too messy and it really won’t matter if it doesn’t get done until the spring. I have cerinthe seedlings growing everywhere, aka honeywort, and they’re such a valuable food source for bees etc, as well as having beautiful dusky purple flowers and pale green leaves. I definitely won’t be touching them.
Today I will get the ironing done and watch the Cenotaph commemorations, always a very poignant occasion
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹
