Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A sunny start in South Yorkshire, but rain expected later. I had a very quiet day yesterday. Watched the Cenotaph ceremony. Very moving as always to see all the veterans and hear their stories. Later I did a bit of shopping at Aldi, made chocolate brownies and lost myself in a book for a while.
I have a telephone call with the nurse at the surgery this morning and as it is a sometime during long time slot my plans to go out with the Monday walking group again have been shelved. Ah well. There will be other Mondays.
Stunning photos, Ekwanimite!
Baubles lovely! I wish I could crochet!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning. A rainy night but stopped now.
DH is pondering about going to golf as the forecast is not good.
I have a nail appointment, cancelled from last week as the technician was ill.
This afternoon the WI knitting group is meeting here. We are knitting hearts for a local hospice and shall be planning projects for next year. I didn’t get the folded book angel done yesterday so that will be my job for this evening.
Healing thoughts for those who need them and a good day wished for all.

Good morning all and it’s damp and dreary here in Essex.
Unlike yesterday at our Suffolk cottage where the sun shone brightly all day and we had breakfast and coffee in the garden overlooking a very calm North Sea.

Our weekend was very satisfying with ds1 working like a ‘Whirling Dervish’, getting things done and having a good clearout. Up to the tip , and sorting things out. His energy and motivation amazes me, and I try to follow in his wake. Dh did a little of what he could. (Frustrating for him) .

Decisions, once more, have been made and things are starting to make sense. Early days but fingers crossed we are on the right track.

When we arrived home we lit our new stove and were cheered by the welcoming flames. A quick tea and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

Today I hope to go to Chimes Group. I’ll see how Dh is . He says ‘of course I’ll be fine’ but I’ll worry.

Must go to the bank and pay my dues to the Stove men. They were fantastic. Proficient, polite, and mindful not to disrupt Dh. Cleaned up and you wouldn’t know they’d been here.
Two such lovely men. I’ll put a good review on for them.

Madeleine what a horrid dream for you to be so unsettling. Thank goodness you’re feeling better 🙏.

GM we can’t keep you down - joining another committee!
They’ll be lucky to have you but don’t over-commit please! 😉.

EckwaNimitee . What a fabulous holiday. I also loved New Zealand and will go back one day.

I hope all poorlies are feeling brighter and those with worries feel lighter 🙏 🍂

Morning from a dry but cloudy S Hants, showers due.
Welcome back Ekwa what an amazing trip, stunning pictures thank you.
How pretty baubles it’s very eye catching, what a clever lot.
Yesterday I watched a little of the remembrance ceremony in between dusting and finishing off kitchen cleaning, kick boards are now pristine!
Today back on the voluntary phone, quiz tonight, MrJ has bowls this afternoon.
Thank you as always Mick for this gentle start to our days.

Good morning Mick and everyone.
I have been missing for several days due to being busy sorting out my new home following the move from Oxfordshire to Shropshire.
My removal firm were amazing. Nothing lost or damaged and very pleasant people to work with.
I'm glad the unavoidable stress is behind me though. Anyone who has moved house will know what I mean.
Wishing you all the best day possible,
whatever your circumstances. smile

Good morning from a dull Suffolk after a glorious day yesterday when I planted the last of the narcissi bulbs. I shall plant the tulips before the end of the month but must buy some more chilli powder to put on top of the pots to deter the mice who love to feast on them. It worked well as a deterrent last year.

A visit later from other lovely man who helps to sort out any tech problems we have. DH has a new laptop and has hit a difficulty in setting it up. Thank goodness for S who,as well as being very helpful and personable,is adored by our little dog.

A few busy days settling in Aldom but you can breathe now, well done on you’re successful planning.

Good morning, I haven’t read your news yet, rushing around to get ready to go to Bluewater with DS4 and his lovely wife.

Hoping to purchase most Christmas gifts for the adults, and find some nice chocolate goodies for the little ones in Lindt.

Will catch up later hopefully 🙋‍♀️

Good morning everyone from a bright but damp Northampton, showers expected.

Didn't post yesterday as by the time I got up it was too late. I had been to DD's band concert for Remembrance Day on Saturday evening - very beautiful and moving - didn't get back until late, sat in the armchair to watch the England rugby match - and next thing I knew I was waking up at 6am! Took myself up to bed and slept again till 10am. And then found I could hardly speak; what I thought was an allergic reaction turned out to be a streaming cold with cough and sore throat.

So I am giving yoga a miss this morning, and will stay in and make the Christmas puddings instead. I managed to make 4 dozen sausage rolls yesterday, some of which will be wolfed down at my wine evening this week, and the rest for Christmas. But I will still need to make yet another batch for Christmas!

The rest of the day will be taken quietly, catching up with the weekend newspapers.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Rather damp but not cold.

Exercise class this morning. The lodgers will come to return their keys and clean the flat. After lunch I'm giving a short talk at U3A about someone I've been researching. I'm on last after 4 others so perhaps time will run out.... 😂🤣

The preview of our art exhibition was very nice yesterday. The cafe/ venue had to switch off the lights to get rid of us all.

NZ is fabulous Ekwa I'm so glad you had a good time. That's where I spent my childhood. not in those mountains but nearby

Your Christmas tree looks lovely already Baubles

I hope your wee one is OK today Grandmabatty

Good luck at the hospital Marydoll

My DGD#5 has lost her first tooth!
It's DGD #2 birthday today. She's 17.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. Heavy rain overnight in Glasgow which has now stopped and it’s mild and sunny. A wet few days ahead but according to the forecast dry next week with temperatures dropping drastically. I had better start fleece wrapping a few pot plants which need protection.
During my walk yesterday through nearby wooded wasteland our local council rarely visit, I noticed lots of holly heavily laden with berries. I will revisit in couple of weeks with my secateurs. Pages of forms to fill in today to upgrade my house alarm set up.

What a lovely idea baubles. 🎄
Georgesgran having tried a variety of pain relief gels, Deep Relief gel or patches work extremely well for me.

Best wishes to all for a good day/better one for those who are struggling on.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast. I was tired after my long day trip on Saturday, so had a nice quiet day yesterday interspersed with some housework etc.

An old pianist friend and his partner are coming over from Manchester today and have booked lunch at one of our nicest restaurants. It’s a long time since I saw them and I’m looking forward to it. We worked together performing in concerts all round the country for years and had lots of fun. He played for my successful audition for Bayreuth Opera in Germany and knew my voice better than anyone. He won’t be impressed with it now! I carry on singing however with a different repertoire.

Nice to hear from you again EkwaNimitee congratulations to your DGD Grammaretto and glad your move is over Aldom🌺

We are off to Lidl this morning, it’s overdue , fridge is empty !
A new bed has been dug out of the lawn , it’s nearly full of plants that have been transplanted from other areas , I hope there’s room for new perennials due to arrive any day
I’ve cancelled my visit in feb to Edinburgh as I did nothing but moan last year , don’t think I’ve ever been so cold !
They will come to me hopefully
Good luck for the hospital appointment Marydoll

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. Your Christmas’tree’is going to be a lovely addition to your town’s festive decorations baubles, a lovely thing to do.

Beautiful photos Ekwanimitee and so good to have that time with your son.

Got on with quite a lot of very necessary clearing of paperwork yesterday but I have to say the place looks worse before it, hopefully, starts to look better.

Coffee this morning with a local friend because our yoga teacher is not available and then back to the paperwork. I am not an organised person and I suppose I’m not going to change now

Wishing everyone a good day.

Ilovedogs22 Mon 10-Nov-25 12:00:11

Good morning from the West midlands, a lousy, rainy, miserable day here today. Yet it is actually very befitting of my mood today!
I was sorting-out some cupboards earlier & unfortunately found some old evidence of DH's sneaky affair of about 4yrs ago!
Consequently, I'm feeling sad, fuming & still very angry indeed.
I think, possibly I should have left him because I can't ever forgive or forget. The melancholy weather here today, suits my mood perfectly, unfortunately. Time to find a toyboy methinks but he'd probably be a lying git as well! Ps, I did modify my language.😶

Ilovedogs22 couldn’t just read and not acknowledge the upset at your discovery. 😮 Doubtless it will play on your mind for awhile.

I have a friend whose husband has played around for years. Leopards and spots. She was often humiliated and distraught. Cried many tears over the years. I said to her one time ‘have some self esteem and leave him’. Her reply? “But I love him.”

A somewhat late Good Morning, we have been to Lytham for a seaside walk. The breeze was ‘fresh’, I was nice and warm in my new walking trousers 😎

Thinking of our poorly grans and those with troubles, as always.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing 🦩🦩🦩
