My little enamel pin badge stays on my mac all year round.

Rick Stein was on BBC breakfast this morning and he had a brooch style poppy on his jumper.

I buy an enamel one each year and add it to my landyard for work, they stay till they drop off

I donate and support but don't wear a poppy as I just lose them.

I have a metal one and wear it all year round. Buy a new one and a paper one every year

Probably the weekend.

Mine was a sticky one which I bought at Leuchars station some days earlier. It had gone by the time I got to Kings Cross.

On the 12th

Plenty online

I do have a brooch but couldn't find it on Sunday morning!

Every year I buy a pin badge and a paper poppy, and took it off on Tuesday evening.

We're off to collect boxes now.

I didn’t buy one this year but was pleased to see I could donate through my Sainsbury’s online grocery order.

Probably before Christmas

None were for sale in my area sadly

I bought a Remembrance poppy Brooch directly from the British Legion. It’s beautiful and saves me worrying about finding one if I can’t get out into the town. Much prettier than the paper poppy!

Me too. I don't like the paper ones. I donate each year if I see a poppy seller, but this year I didn't see any, and nor did my husband, who buys a paper poppy if he sees one.

I have a purple elastic bracelet with the metal Poppy, which I never take off.

A metal pin badge Poppy on my backpack, which is only taken off when I put the bag in the washing machine, then it's put back on when the bag is dried.

A metal Poppy keyring is always on my keys, and a metal Poppy trolley keyring that dangles from my jacket zipper, again, only taken off when I wash the jacket, so all 4 of mine are always being worn or used!

The dangly one on my bag will probably stay until sometime when I think about removing it.

On 12th November my poppy goes back in my display cabinet next to my Grandfather's photo and war medals where I can see it every day.

We no longer have poppy sellers come to the door, but the RBL has a stall on the market on Saturdays in November, and many shops and businesses in our little market town have a box of poppies, plus places like the library and the swimming pool.

We take ours off on 11/11 and put them on a photograph of my husbands late Uncle who fell just before D Day and my late FIL who fought and survived.

It is very important in our family to remember the sacrifices so many men and women made.

I hope in 20,30,40 years time our grandchildren and their children continue.

I appreciated this poster in a cafe I visited yesterday

I am amazed, I can’t imagine anywhere in the UK another having a BL poppy seller.

Crossstitchfan Wed 12-Nov-25 18:51:04
