I bought a Remembrance poppy Brooch directly from the British Legion. It’s beautiful and saves me worrying about finding one if I can’t get out into the town. Much prettier than the paper poppy!
Me too. I don't like the paper ones. I donate each year if I see a poppy seller, but this year I didn't see any, and nor did my husband, who buys a paper poppy if he sees one.
I have a purple elastic bracelet with the metal Poppy, which I never take off.
A metal pin badge Poppy on my backpack, which is only taken off when I put the bag in the washing machine, then it's put back on when the bag is dried.
A metal Poppy keyring is always on my keys, and a metal Poppy trolley keyring that dangles from my jacket zipper, again, only taken off when I wash the jacket, so all 4 of mine are always being worn or used!
We no longer have poppy sellers come to the door, but the RBL has a stall on the market on Saturdays in November, and many shops and businesses in our little market town have a box of poppies, plus places like the library and the swimming pool.
