Tonight for me.
You?

Ditto 👍

Probably by the weekend.

I will leave this year’s pin on my good jacket all year. I wear it with my veterans badge but only wear that over remembrance weekend and put it away on the twelfth. It goes in a box with my cap badge, DH’s vet badge, his cap badge, and his medals.

Weekend for me too.

None were for sale in my area sadly

I removed the pin from my jacket, and the dangly bag one this morning before going out.
Been wearing for 10 days.

Calendargirl Wed 12-Nov-25 17:35:52

Took mine off my coat this morning.

The 11th was yesterday, so that was the day.

We had a 2 minute silence at my Aquacise class on the hour.

You could have heard a pin drop.

Probably at the weekend. I've got 4 - 1 on each of 3 coats, 1 on a scarf

So did I.

We bin ours after the 2 minutes silence at 11am on 11/11. A new one is worn on 1st November each year.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 12-Nov-25 18:17:00

It is still on the black coat I wore to the service on Sunday. At some point I will remove it when I next wear the coat.

I’ve always understood they should be worn from the 1st to the 11th November.

Jaxjacky Wed 12-Nov-25 18:40:38

Took mine off my jacket before bed last night.

I bought a Remembrance poppy Brooch directly from the British Legion. It’s beautiful and saves me worrying about finding one if I can’t get out into the town. Much prettier than the paper poppy!

Crossstitchfan Wed 12-Nov-25 18:51:04

I took mine off today.

cornergran Wed 12-Nov-25 18:59:52

Friday when I go out after two days at home.

I am amazed, I can’t imagine anywhere in the UK another having a BL poppy seller.

Rosieroe Wed 12-Nov-25 19:38:07

I appreciated this poster in a cafe I visited yesterday

We take ours off on 11/11 and put them on a photograph of my husbands late Uncle who fell just before D Day and my late FIL who fought and survived.

It is very important in our family to remember the sacrifices so many men and women made.

I hope in 20,30,40 years time our grandchildren and their children continue.

We no longer have poppy sellers come to the door, but the RBL has a stall on the market on Saturdays in November, and many shops and businesses in our little market town have a box of poppies, plus places like the library and the swimming pool.

On 12th November my poppy goes back in my display cabinet next to my Grandfather's photo and war medals where I can see it every day.

Witzend Thu 13-Nov-25 09:11:01

The dangly one on my bag will probably stay until sometime when I think about removing it.

I have a purple elastic bracelet with the metal Poppy, which I never take off.

A metal pin badge Poppy on my backpack, which is only taken off when I put the bag in the washing machine, then it's put back on when the bag is dried.

A metal Poppy keyring is always on my keys, and a metal Poppy trolley keyring that dangles from my jacket zipper, again, only taken off when I wash the jacket, so all 4 of mine are always being worn or used!
