Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in Brackley at the moment.
My usual plans with a bus journey to Bicester and back , do a shop and also chat to those I know.
Health OK with a slight weight increase .
take care,
Mick

Good morning all from a dry Black country today has been predicted as the the best day of the week.
It took nearly an hour to get to playgroup yesterday with buses out of service and flooded roads, then 3 helpers unavailable so it was a very tiring day. Fortunately one of the dads was very helpful when it came to tidying up and helped with the heavier things.
Not sure of plans for today but will make the most of this dry weather.
Happy birthday to MrR&L🎂 and best wishes to anyone else celebrating, have the best day possible everyone and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.

Good morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

Sainsburys are delivering this morning rather than late afternoon as we have a writing club event in the library this afternoon. DGS3 is driving over for a Turkish takeaway this evening. Scary for his Ma and Pa.

We went Christmas shopping yesterday and spent a fortune but only seem to have acquired a few boxes of chocolates and a vast amount of Quality Street! Must try harder.

Good morning from a dry N.Bucks.
I’m a bit late as I didn’t sleep well due to the pain in my shoulder and it’s still there this morning. GP visit went well yesterday, he really listened and has ordered tests.
Not too much on today , bits and pieces this morning and sewing club this afternoon.
The ironing will have to wait until my shoulder and arm are a bit better. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some art work later.
Warm wishes for all especially those with worries and or illness.

Good Morning from a very wet, soggy Durham.
5 years today since my friend died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s - it was a relief in the end. Her DH is still bereft.
It’s the first night of the final Lumiere tonight - people will get soaked. It brings money into the City, but makes it a no-go area for anything else. I’ll have to walk Little Dog elsewhere for the duration, because of parking restrictions.
Meeting my lovely poorly friend today. She has an anxious weight to see if her childhood TB is dormant before changing her post cancer/RA meds.
Son-in-law has gone to New York today, so I’m on call to help DD2 with DGS2. Her Mini should be available tomorrow, which will make things easier for her.
At some point, before dark, I’ll get Little Dog out for a walk. At least I feel my back/leg is improving - about time too!

Thinking of other GNs who are unwell or caring for poorly loved ones.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Enjoyed the opera co rehearsal last night although we don’t have many rehearsals now until the concerts. Nice drink afterwards.

Unfortunately was up through the night as I came home and ate out of date Brie and biscuits. Felt really I’ll, but couldn’t be sick as I wished, which I suppose is the after effect of my hiatus hernia op’ last year. Cramp joined in for good measure. Just a recovery day🙄
MrR&L🥂and thoughts to all🌺

A lovely sunny morning so shall brave the supermarket as the fridge and fruit bowl are both empty but am waiting for pain killers to take effect and my back to ache rather less. Still so upset about my missing wedding ring as I have run out of places to look for it although I kept waking up with another thought in mind and so had to get up and check. Keep telling myself it can’t just have evaporated so maybe I have the Borrowers in residence.

Good morning all from damp Dublin.
Trying to negotiate buses has tested me. I'm on a bus but I paid several cents short of the fare, all I had, and what I was told it was, whereas yesterday another driver just let me on without question today the driver was rather annoyed.

Today I'm going to another museum and meeting DS for lunch and to buy him a sweater.

It's been a good experience apart from the rain. Next time I'll come in May.

I hope the poorly ones are on the mend and that everyone has some joy today.

Michael12, good morning and everyone!

It's 10:37 am, and it's been absolutely pouring buckets of rain all night, and it's still here in little Appleby! The rivers are so high that the ducks need longer legs! I love every drop of it and the coldness too!

About 10:45 pm last night, I was in bed, snuggled in with a fat duvet, a big bouncy pillow, 2 hot water bottles and stuffed with a can of fizzy Vimto, all the windows were closed, same with doors, it was dead quiet outside apart from the rain noise banginging on roads and windows, ....then I clearly heard a cat sneeze once in my bedroom!

I haven't had a cat or any other pet for almost 5 years when I starred my cuttent job because of so many long hours, it would be unfar on the pet to be left alone 6, often 7 days/nights a week for all those hours, so I know it wasn't any pets I have and it wasn't Percy, my RoboKitten!

I called out ''Baby? Come to mummy'' but there was no response. It's lovely knowing I have a ghostie cat amongst all the human ones!

Then, about 2 am, I was in the kitchen making a cuppa, and another great big 8-legged thing came running out from the back of the washing machine, so after screaming the place down and having a fit of the abdabs, I grabbed the kettle and mug etc. fast and took them into the bedroom, making sure the kitchen and bedroom doors were closed!

Have a good one, all of you!

Good Morning , the early drizzle has cleared and the sun has come out
I walked up to Mass and nipped into the local shop for milk and a few other bits , the bag on my rolater is so handy for small items that fit under the seat
I use the seat in dry weather to transport full watering cans around the garden , I can fit two big cans at a time
Then I can put my wet washing on it to get it to the clothes line , it’s great to maintain my independence
Wishing for a good day for all poorly people

Good morning from the West midlands, a bright, breezy day here today. I wish I was bright & breezy but I'm grotty & snotty!
The reason being is a ruddy nagging toothache & I'm terrified of going to the dreaded dentist.
On the brighter -side it will soon be lunchtime & there's a very attractive man across the avenue building a pathway.
He's tall, lithe and has beautiful strawberry -blond colouring. Absolutely just my type, Anyway I have to stop typing & leering & do some work. Best of wishes & a peaceful, safe day to you all. Thinking of those of you who are poorly or worried today.
