Does anyone else think that many people are very quick to take offense at anything and everything these days. I suppose that I could be classed as past my sell by date but we used to have a lot of sayings that apply..take it with a pinch of salt...take it as it was intended..get off your high horse etc Where did everyone's sense of humour go? There are enough real problems without getting offended at something trivial.

The majority of us would have been brought up with 70’s humour, Benny Hill, Tommy Cooper, the Carry On films, Kenny Everett, Alf Garnet and all the early sitcoms. So we’re used to silly, funny and sometimes crass humour. I remember laughing a lot back in the day. However with the introduction of the PC brigade, it’s all changed and the generations since, particularly Millennials and Gen Z are offended at the slightest thing.
