Me tooJ52 A few good nights then this. Woke up three times during the night and finally gave up at 4:30. I have been reading for the past hour.
Shopping this morning then possibly a nap.

I’m going to see Hamnet this afternoon, I hope I don’t nod off in the cinema and snore! 😂
I can hear the odd car going past, at least the day has begun for some people.

Once again, after a row of good nights I’ve woken early. I think I was having an anxiety dream.
I don’t want to wake DH so have come downstairs. I doubt if I’ll get back to sleep now. Might read.

I have my radio on most of the night too Grandmatte, it started years and years ago after I d had a burglary, and I found all night I was listening for noises, and being in a very old house there were plenty of creaks, so I started leaving the radio on low and it helped a lot I stopped being alert at every sound.

Good morning ‘night folks’ this last week I ve missed the 3 am wake up call and have moved on an hour who knows next week I might move on another hour
Not many people chatting in the night so I m hoping everyone is sleeping much better
Have a lovely day with your granddaughter Castle

grandMattie Mon 19-Jan-26 04:52:21

Been awake for an hour or so, dozing listening to the lovely music on ClassicFM, which I have on all night as it dampens the buzzing from tinnitus.
Hope they have an insomniacs have had a bit of respite.

Another Monday morning and wide awake. I’ve turned night into day the past week and have been sleeping all day. I’ve fibromyalgia and sleep disturbance is really at the top of my symptoms list just now. Still dgd coming this morning so that will keep me awake. A new dance class later. Hoping everyone else is having a restful night

JamesandJon33 Sun 18-Jan-26 06:20:26

A good night. 9 to 5:30. Hope it continues

BlueBelle Sun 18-Jan-26 06:16:20

Morning all I ve slept ok but to have a good night ( well good for me) I can’t go to bed too early so 11.30 to 4 or 5 is an excellent night for me I seem to manage ok on 5 hours, even work days
Sounds quiet outside I can’t hear rain lashing 👍🏼

RosesandLilac Sun 18-Jan-26 05:28:14

I slept well until 4, dozed a bit but now I’m wide awake.
I’ll have a coffee and read for a couple of hours.

Esmay Sun 18-Jan-26 05:07:42

Dozed off during the early part of the evening then àwake at one and now since five.
Woke up after having a disturbing dream in which no matter how hard I tried I couldn't cook a meal and put it on the table. - a typical anxiety dream !

grandMattie Sun 18-Jan-26 04:31:51

Sad for all the insomniacs. I get to sleep very very easily, but my problem is staying asleep!
Last night I was dozing in front of the tv, went to bed soon after 8, then read and faffed on my iPad, switched off at 10. Slept.
Now I’ve been awake a couple of hours…
I need as much rest as I can as I have a rather packed week.
Hope most of you are now asleep.💤

Unheard for me, I'm awake! Thought I'd lie on my bed at 9o'clock to read Ben Fogle's book on islands and it lulled me to sleep, still dressed, oof. Will make a cup of decaff tea in a minute, eat some Lebkuchen left over from Christmas and if it's not raining I could don my Dryrobe and sit on my patio swing seat, as I used to do in the winter of the year I had a knee replacement. There should be owls out at this time. A little, unexpected, night-time adventure. 😃🌛🌠

Grammaretto Sun 18-Jan-26 02:35:50

I'm awake too.
Not slept yet.
I'm worrying which is pointless but hard to stop.

HelterSkelter1 Sun 18-Jan-26 02:06:27

Wideawake since 1.00. I looked at my watch expecting/hoping it would be 5.00. How can it be 1.00!!

Oh well. Wordle and then read I suppose and then get back to sleep at some stage.

I hope everyone is fast asleep.

Esmay Sat 17-Jan-26 09:14:00

grandMatte
Thank you .
I think that I'm going to get bronchitis every cold damp winter .
I'm full of admiration for someonecwho can knit fairisle or lace !
My mother was a superb knitter and said that I was hopeless .
Later on my mother in law introduced me to a roomful of people and announced that I couldn't knit !
I can't get an exact pattern for what I want .
I'm a bit annoyed with the shop owner for her poor advice !
I'll go back today .
And try to sleep through the night!

‘Morning! I’ve been awake on and off all night, my left hip is very painful but I have absolutely no idea why. I just couldn’t get comfortable at all so, along with pain in my feet, ankles and fingers, I feel like a bit of a wreck. I find that paracetamol is useless, I can’t take aspirin because I’m already on it for heart failure or brufen because of kidney failure so……..
Misery me! 🙄😁
It’s a wet start to the weekend, I have plenty of things to keep me occupied 😊

BlueBelle Sat 17-Jan-26 06:09:51

Morning everyone I seem to have missed the 3 am call this morning it sounds very quiet outside just dark, I can’t hear rain or wind. Hope everyone has a good day

grandMattie Sat 17-Jan-26 05:58:07

Poor you, Esmay. That cough is the gift that keeps on giving!

I want to try and knit one of those Norwegian jumpers with a Fair Isle yoke. I’m too mean to pay’s fortune for a pattern, so must scour charity shops, then get acrylic as I’m allergic to wool.

Esmay Sat 17-Jan-26 02:51:43

Awake since 1.30 .
My bladder and The Cough woke me up .
Browsed the Web and The Avengers is on TV .
Yesterday I went on a quest for knitting wool and did some walking and having looked at my pattern I haven't bought enough and shall have to return.
I needed to do some housework and have a rest not go on a crazy knitting wool quest !
It was a typical day of shopping and crashing out .

I’m early I know. It’s about 2.15. For the first time this week I can’t settle to sleep. Washing machine mind is to blame, or rather my inability to quieten it.

I need to be up and functioning by 7 this morning. A long day ahead. I’ll settle down, try for distraction from the washing machine and hope there will be four hours sleep which will be enough.

Oh well, no point worrying. What will be. Rest well everyone.

Doodledog Fri 16-Jan-26 05:56:05

I slept from 12.35 to 4.15. I have a busy day ahead - a class later this morning, then a friend’s birthday lunch, and then a social group meeting this evening. I’m going to be exhausted by bedtime, but I know I will ‘boing’ awake as soon as I lie down.

BlueBelle Fri 16-Jan-26 04:52:32

Morning all had a good night, 11.30 till 4.30 so that ll do me nicely
Hope everyone is feeling well, getting over colds etc and slept as good as possible.
It sounds calm outside, and I am feeling quite cosy under all my layers 🤣

JamesandJon33 Fri 16-Jan-26 04:45:27

We are back home now and yesterday I slept a lot. Nodded off over coffee about 10 in the morning. Then a half hour after lunch, and then constantly throughout Traitors. …I’ll have to watch it again. Asleep by ten and now back in the old routine. I have been reading since 3:30.
