Susan flowers I said to DH last night that saying about only being given as much as we can deal with. Sometimes what we are given is overwhelming.

We have had so much sad news over the last couple of months.I always think we are only ever given as much as we can deal with but honestly I feel broken today.

Good morning from West Sussex by the sea. I am looking out at the beautiful blue sky and drinking my coffee after which I really must get on with extracting the kitchen stuff from bags and boxes in the garage. I promised to bake for an event on Saturday. The kitchen is installed and ready to use, though the fitter is coming today to finish a bit round the window and there are a couple of replacement parts on their way as the extractor tube was damaged and a post for the corner cupboard. Otherwise it looks good and will look even better when we get the walls painted ๐Ÿ™‚

So many people Iโ€™d like to respond to this morning but as I am late, as usual, I will just wish Ladyleftfieldlover a straightforward prep - I slept really well when my doses were divided by nighttime, once the effects had worn off of course ๐Ÿซค. Madeleine, surely your doctor could offer you more effective pain relief? Nevertheless, I hope you get your dresser sorted and gone and your books in their place on new shelves.
luluaugust, I hope your journey to the eye hospital is straightforward, and Grammaretto, I hope your train to Derby runs to time. Glad to hear MrFGT is feeling better. Condolences to your DD and family Susan.

Good morning all from the west midlands.
A bright, clear beautiful day here today. I have to say that I'm so jealous of you Gran's that make your own pastry. Try as I might, it comes -out like cardboard & tastes much the same! I can make nice crumbles, so it's a bit of a conundrum? One of life's mysteries.๐Ÿ˜ถ

Sad news Susan. ๐Ÿ˜ข

A rather late good morning Mick and everyone.
I'm a about to walk to the post office to return the old router to Talk Talk.
It's a lovely crisp, cold morning in Shropshire, with blue skies and sunshine.
My condolences to Susan56 flowers
Thoughts are with all who are worried, sad or facing illness.

Good morning all. A frosty start but sunny and dry is the forecast for Glasgow today.

A full nightโ€™s sleep and pain relief taken, Iโ€™m good to go to fill my day with whatever turns up. A boiler service later today is the only plan.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning,

We have sunshine and blue sky today, though itโ€™s still very cold.

I agree about your Christmas tree in its pot outdoors, mum2three. It is probably home to quite a few hibernating critters so Iโ€™d be inclined to do the same and get another one for indoors. Perhaps you could put some outside lights on the outdoor tree.

Condolences Susan ๐Ÿ’.

Sending kind thoughts to all of you facing difficulties today.

Madeleine I wish I lived near enough, I would certainly come and help you with that dresser. Spread the word with a couple of locals, there are lots of kind people about, the ones who don`t interfere unless there is a call to action. You will get the help you need, if you ask for it

Good morning all from the south coast where itโ€™s dry and the sun is breaking through. The air was very damp and cold when I put my bin out half an hour ago. I hope it warms up a bit for me to be tempted outside to do some gardening. I could do with blowing away the cobwebs.
Nothing much planned today.
Glad to see FGT and her DH had a better day yesterday.
Hope everyone has the best possible day.

hollysteers Tue 25-Nov-25 08:58:57

Hope it all works out luluaugust

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Finished painting my design for Xmas cards yesterday, but I have strange sizes to make it more of a bother when printing off, fixing to cards and envelopes. Brought my small tree and a few bits for Xmas up from the basement. Itโ€™s early for me, but my sister from the south arrives later this week and it will look welcoming.

Iโ€™m off to the music club as usual this afternoon, but Iโ€™m not singing even though my cold has pretty much gone. I havenโ€™t practised and my throat is still a bit rough.
Thoughts to FGTs LLFL Madeleine and condolences Susan56๐ŸŒบ
