Good morning from a dull but dry Suffolk. We arrived home last evening from our trip to Yorkshire where the weather, although chilly, was sunny all week.

We had a love,y time especially spending a day in York where we went to the Minster and met my sister in law for lunch. We shopped in the Minster shop having looked with wonder again at the beautiful medieval stained glass in particular. We last visited many years ago when entry was by donation. Now it is £20. We gave the Christmas market a miss as it seemed like many others and it was very busy.

Off to collect the dog so will read your posts when we return. Hope all have a good day.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dismal corner of Somerset. Heavy sky and a rain warning.

Enjoyed the volunteer session yesterday morning, although there seems to be a bumpy time ahead it was clear how much we are appreciated. A quick shop in the afternoon and that was it. No news from the computer magician, as he’s very quick that feels ominous

It’s sort the Christmas decorations day. May even install some in the conservatory. I know it’s not December until Monday but I feel in need of some light.

Sorry to hear maryd is very poorly. Hope some strength returns soon.

Kalu flowers.

With thoughts to all facing challenges

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from M. Bucks where it is wet and windy.
A local food shop and a book to collect down in town this morning. Plenty of jobs to keep me busy this’s afternoon..
Off to look after the two youngest DGSs later while DD3 and SIL are out with friends.
Thinking of Marydoll and other poorly GNs and wishing all a gentle day.

Good morning all and we’re in for a wet day here in Essex.,

Yesterday we got a cab to our usual country pub/restaurant to meet our pals for lunch. The food and service , as usual, was first class. A jolly time was had by all.

Today I’ll walk up to town, (not worth getting in a traffic jam) and get some Christmas cards for family, wrapping paper and look out for stocking fillers. I must get down to it- very late starting this year.

No footie for Dh and ds1 , so he can watch it on tv.

A cosy afternoon indoors with the woodburner lit and maybe a takeaway this evening.

I hope Marydoll is feeling brighter today and we will hear from her soon 💐.

Kalu a day of memories for you. 💐

Have a lovely weekend with your family Brooke. 🥳

Love and best wishes to all.

Good morning all from a wet Black country.
No plans as yet but there is a Christmas fayre on at local church so if the rain stops will take myself there.
Over to our friends in Redditch this evening.
Kalu 💐
Hope Marydoll feels better soon 💐.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Usual Saturday full English calling so enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.

Good morning from a wet W Kent. Off to farm butchers to buy a turkey crown and then on to a local Priory to light some candles, sadly we keep hearing one lot of bad news after another.
Thinking of Marydoll and Kalu
Best wishes

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
I was glad to wake in my own bed but I had a very nice few days with DS3.

I arrived home from Nottingham at midnight. The train was delayed an hour, due to a previous "incident". At least I got some knitting done and was met in Edinburgh by my kind friend who drove me home as I dreaded trying to find a bus or a taxi at that hour. It's noticeably colder here.

I'm booked on a spoonmaking workshop this morning and have Gaelic café this afternoon.

Enjoy the various Christmas markets everyone.

Well done family Karma.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Good morning Mick and everyone.
It's a wet day here in Shropshire.
I had a lovely day yesterday with my family, celebrating my grandson's birthday.
My son in law fixed the window which wouldn't close. I think the problem was more my arthritic fingers than the window's locking mechanism.
This afternoon I'm having my hair cut. It's five weeks overdue because of moving house.
Wishing you all the best day possible.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Mary D and the FGT2S 🪻🪻🪻

We had a lovely day yesterday. Early breakfast in our nearby town, an excellent Art Society lecture and finally lunch at a gem of a restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

Not sure about today. I may do some baking. I have the Australian presents to post and others still to wrap. Plus all the cards to be written.

Have a good day.

Good morning from a very damp and grey Black Country, where it rained overnight, and it is forecast for most of the day!

So only plans today are staying in and housework. MrJ has a recipe for cooking Duck Breast for dinner tonight.

Sorry to hear Marydoll is so unwell. Hoping that you feel better soon MD

Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton, glad I went out to shop yesterday in the lovely sunshine.
Successfully collected my new shoes, tried them on in the shop, a perfect fit. As the shop is sited in a garden centre with a cafe, I decided to have a coffee and was tempted by the lemon drizzle cake which was delicious.
Had forgotten there was a Waitrose next to this garden centre so decided to do my shop there instead of my usual visit to M&S Food and Sainsburys, which made my journey home easier.

Will be making my Christmas sausage rolls later on today; I normally get 4 dozen cocktail sized ones out of one batch - if course I shall need to try a couple for quality control purposes.....
Then will spend the rest of the day perusing the Saturday newspaper, and my rugby team's match is on tv early evening.

Now to go back and read the whole thread to see what everyone is up to.
Wishing all a pleasant day.

💐💐
For Kalu on this anniversary day with bittersweet thoughts.
And for Marydoll who is unwell and not posting.

Late good morning from the NE where the forecast is for rain all day.
Had a message from DS to say that GD had a dreadful cold so she wouldn't be well enough to visit. Maybe he will come tomorrow, he says he doesn't want me to catch it.
GD at university has been poorly all week with flu like symptoms and had to stay in bed. She had just returned after Reading week.
Sorry to hear Marydoll is poorly, hoping she feels better soon.
Thoughts are with those who are poorly and sad.

You’ve always shown such fortitude, thinking of you today.

Morning from South Lanarkshire and 💕 to Kalu
I’ve been scanning rather than reading over the last week or so, another of my close friends has become seriously ill, I can hardly believe the suddenness of this. Still hoping but very distracted just now. I do keep all who need it in my thoughts and send good wishes to everyone.
Glad things going well for your family Karma

A late Good Morning from Durham.
Grey, but dry here. It was a late night for DGS1, as he has ‘discovered’ reading. Dyslexia runs in the family, so it’s not been easy.
He and DGS2 enjoyed meeting up after school last night to see Fenwicks window display and Newcastle’s Christmas lights.
We’ve no plans for today, but he has a new Lego to construct, which will take him hours.
Sorry to hear our Marydoll isn’t well. Thank you GG13 for the update.

Best wishes to all. X

Marydoll flowers Sorry to hear you’re ‘no weel’. Everyone is missing your posts. I think we all knew you were still doing too much! And that was the stuff you admitted to doing! Rest, hot water bottles, Turkish soaps, and TLC from DH are the order of the day.
It’s a dreich day in Kent. Can’t believe it’s less than four weeks to Christmas. Have a good day all!
