Oops, I posted on the wrong thread! I’ll report my other post.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

It’s a beautiful day and we have been out for our usual walk.

Still waiting to hear from my doctor regarding my recent blood results.

Thinking of our poorly grans and those with troubles, as always.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing 🦩🦩🦩

Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire. Very glad for your Son in law grandMattie and that you got a reasonable ‘reschedular’ baubles, the one in Audiology in our local hospital is a power maniac! And you just have to bite your tongue if you want an appointment within the next year😳

Going to visit DD4 this afternoon, they at last have a new puppy after having lost their lovely dog a year ago and they are so happy.

Had a better visit with my friend yesterday so today is a good day.

Good wishes to everyone x

After a very wet day yesterday, with flood warnings preventing me from going out to lunch, I am hoping today will be more successful - the sky is clear and the sun is shining, so I am more than hopeful.

Very impressed with Marydoll’s fund raising efforts and hope she is able to recover despite her nursing duties. Lots of bugs going around at the moment in time to spoil the pre-Christmas plans.

Gingster Tue 02-Dec-25 09:20:48

Good morning all and it isn’t raining and the sun is trying to pop through.

Yesterday went well. The funeral was lovely but I was a wreck. I.m Not good with funerals and always cry 😢. It’s embarrassing .
Then off to be jolly at the concert. Drama group first .Oh my! 😬🤭. Ukelele group couldn’t perform as they were all down with a virus. Up next us Charming Chimers which went well. Christmas sing alongs and piano recital. Several people said we were the best. Not much competition 😂 really. All good fun though. Dd and Dh got on well with her waiting on him hand and foot.

This morning I need to make a shepherds pie for them tomorrow as I’m going to Docklands for lunch and a show and they’ll keep each other company again.

I love your scandi tree Karma thanks for the pic.

Take care all

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
My sister leaves for the south today after arriving last Friday. We have had a good time, I had a concert on Saturday and she met up with her old school friends for a concert in the city on the same night.
On Sunday we went to an open mic evening hosted by my artist friend and yesterday was awful weather, but we went into town and in the evening cosied down with pizza, salad, chat and tv. I’ll miss the music club today as I haven’t prepared anything and still have after effects of my cold, but it’s improving.

Very nice news to hear GM and thoughts to all🌺

Good Morning from Durham. Not 100% today - no reason, other than the time of year.
Home well after midnight from 4 days of looking after DGS1. DD1’s flight from Krakow was delayed, but I declined staying over.
I’ve an easy day, as my friend has had to postpone meeting up until Thursday. I really need to write cards and do some present wrapping, etc. However, at 4pm, I’ll be trundling back up to Newcastle to babysit DGS2, so SinL can go to tonight’s home match. DD2 has gone to Frankfurt today, so I’m having her Little Dog here for a few days.
Madeleine your car MOT dates, etc are on the DVLA website now. Although I get a paper copy of my car services, they too are uplifted to the manufacturer’s website. It’s all a bit much for my little brain!

Must crack on. Best wishes to all. X

Michael12, good morning and everyone!

Yesterday, by the time I crashed into bed about 10 am, I was well and truly conked out! I didn't get up until about 5:30 pm, apart from a loo trip and a can of Coke!

I did various other things after, then about 11 pm, I set up my laptop on the kitchen table and binge-watched 3 movies!

The Messengers with Kristen Stuart - 2007-

Predator 2 with Gary Busey - 1990 -

Prisoners with Hugh Jackman - 2013 -.

While guzzling mugs of PG Tips and scoffing a bowl of Coco Pops!

I don't know what I'll be doing today other than extra reading. I bought from Amazon Felix & Willow Cats Tails of Mischief and Mayhem, by M.L. Scott. £7.79. I follow them on Facebook, and they make me cry with laughter!

Have a good one, all of you!

harrigran Tue 02-Dec-25 09:07:17

Good morning from a sunny NE after heavy overnight rain.
I waited all day for a parcel to be delivered, it eventually arrived at 9 pm..
The heating engineer is coming today to do the boiler service, haven't been given a time slot so I will just potter while I wait.
Have a good day.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry and 5*.

Great news for your SiL Mattie.

What a fantastic fundraising effort MD. Take it easy now.

DH has been on the waiting list for his second knee replacement for over a year. He saw the surgeon last month then had his pre assessment checks so we hoped it would happen fairly soon. I predicted that he would be offered the 17th as that’s when DDoutL asked if we could stay over so she could go to her office night out. She rarely goes out and this was a big deal for her. Yesterday DH had a call from the hospital - yep the 17th! Anyhoo after a conversation with the scheduler, whose first reaction was that he would have to go back on the list if he turned it down, she offered him December 31st. A new knee for Hogmanay. smile

Charity shop today the this evening our yarn group will bag and tag our Christmas angels ready for putting them out in the town on Saturday morning.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Aldom Tue 02-Dec-25 08:43:11

Good morning Mick and everyone.
I'm rushing this morning as I didn't sleep well last night, dozing off when it was time to get up!
I have a friend coming for coffee this morning so I need to get my skates on.
My thoughts are with all who are worried, sad or ill. Wishing everyone the best day possible whatever you are doing.
Good news about your sil GM.

Grammaretto Tue 02-Dec-25 08:26:48

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is now 4°C and dry.

I'm planning to meet an old pal in Edinburgh today for a catch up as far from the Princes St crowds as possible but where we can find good coffee without "music" blaring.

My Aussie Helper will do some garden work. She processed a mountain of apples yesterday and we had good chats.
I completely forgot about a Christmas social so missed it. It was a thankyou to the volunteers at the community store. Ah well. I wasn't meant to be there.

It was my friend from the north's last day, she left for Tain this morning. I will miss her but she'll be back.

I'm delighted for your family about DSiL job offer gMattie. My DS3 was out of a job for ages this year for similar reason. He's now taken one at far less pay and far less stress.

It means DDiL has to work an extra day to pay the bills but seems OK about it.

We do worry about them even when they are middle aged!

Hoping everyone has some joy today.

Marydoll Tue 02-Dec-25 08:15:32

Good morning from Glasgow, where it is 7°C,

A double bonus, yesterday, GM. ♥️

I am still feeling pretty awful and after trying to match a mountain of crockery yesterday, I was on my knees, it didn't help that I had a tremors, due to the steroids. I was terrified of breaking things.
The steroids are taking ages to kick in, which isn't helping
The hall is used by other groups, so it had to be clearned. There was only one other helper, the rest were were not available.
I spent the rest of the afternoon, inhaler in hand, having inhalations and generally feeling pretty fed up with the hand healthwise, I have been dealt in life.

DH was wallowing, trying to deal with his double pneumonia, so I had to put on my Florence Nightingale hat and pander to him, into the bargain.😉
He did manage a medicinal glass of red last night. 🤬

However, it is not all depressing news from me today.
We don't have a final figure yet , but it looks as if we have made well over £3000 for the restoration fund. Way beyond our expectations.

Much domestic goddess is needed today, I have been unable to do anything. The fridge is unusually empty too, therefore I will need to go for shopping.

Good luck The Weirdo, I hope all goes well for you.

Love to all,x

EkwaNimitee Tue 02-Dec-25 08:05:15

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dry and fairly mild Carlisle.
I've not had a good night, sleep broken by a painful mouth which suffered a large blood blister after dinner last night. Swallowing takes willpower, it's taken me ages to get a bowl of porridge down. Plus, I think I'm sickening with something as I'm feeling chilled with a sore throat and clogged nasal passages. Nothing serious, just annoying so I'll carry on as usual.
Yesterday was a busy housework morning, in the afternoon I fished out more files and did a lot of shredding. Today will be much the same, I'll make a start on bathroom cleaning shortly. Later, a walk would be good, I can see the skies clearing so hopefully we will see a bit of sunshine soon.

I hope you all have at least a satisfactory day, best wishes.

GrannyIvy Tue 02-Dec-25 08:04:35

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where it is dry and feels cold.

Today I am actually managing to see my own GP to try and sort my blood pressure meds out my blood pressures are all over the place. I had hand x rays a few weeks ago but the result has vanished the hospital say it has been sent and the practice say no sign of it so maybe we can get to sort out that today too!! I then plan a trip to the farm shop and local garden centre. Picking up my 11 year old granddaughter later from the school bus. She is having bus drama’s at mo. Apparently her bus isn’t turning up after school and she and others have to get on another very full bus and sit on the floor. DD2 is calling the school today to discuss. DGS2 continues to be very poorly with a sore throat high temperature virus that is doing the rounds in this area.

Wishing everyone the best day possible

Liberty Tue 02-Dec-25 07:59:08

Good morning from a dry and,so far, dull Suffolk after heavy rain all day yesterday.

My appt in the audiology dept was cancelled yesterday morning because of staff shortages. The lady who phoned was very apologetic and rang later to offer me another. That was difficult because of several social activities already in my diary but we managed to find a spare slot in just over 2 weeks time. Hope the newly announced doctors’ strike doesn’t affect it.

I’m going to visit one of my dearest friends this afternoon who is in hospital after a fall at home resulting in a bleed on the brain. It happened just before we left to go away to Yorkshire. She is recovering well and has been moved to an offshoot of the hospital for physiotherapy.

I also had an email from another friend whose husband has cancer who has deteriorated rapidly in the last few days. She can’t leave him and asked me to drop in so I’ll do so after my Thursday class.

I hope those who aren’t feeling their best or are caring for others find some comfort today.

BlueSapphire Tue 02-Dec-25 07:59:06

Good morning everyone from a dry and clear.Northampton; yesterday was terrible, wet and windy all day.

Went to yoga then changed the bed when I got back and did some general tidying, washing up etc. Made a hotpot for dinner.
Finished writing the local hand-delivery Christmas cards, then spent the afternoon reading from my stash of magazines. John Lewis delivered the Lego I had ordered for DS and DS-in-law's Christmas presents - I am really pleased with it.

Bathroom cleaning this morning then will damp-dust the.bedrooms.
Out to walking group this afternoon then will visit the post office to buy Christmas stamps and post cards to DH's cousins in Australia.

Left-over hotpot for dinner tonight so no cooking, hooray!

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Kalu Tue 02-Dec-25 07:51:52

Excellent news for your DSiL GM.

Kalu Tue 02-Dec-25 07:46:52

Good morning all. We had heavy rain overnight in Glasgow but today’s forecast is dry and sunny.

No plans to go out today and if the forecast is right I can spend some time in the garden. Not that I actually do much out there but it’s good to have the option of stepping out the back door for some fresh air and fouter around. Having a coffee al fresco is an added bonus. Boiler check later today can be ticked off my to,do list. GD1 arrived early evening to help me out with fairy lights. We had an early dinner of lamb shanks and as a ways is she is good company. She is 20 now and so very like DD2 in looks and mannerisms it is uncannily like having a blether with DD2 sometimes which is lovely as she lives in Australia and can’t pop in.

I’m pleased your visit to the garage went smoothly Bellasnana. I generally find people are kind and helpful when I am unsure of what to do and I need their help.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

kittylester Tue 02-Dec-25 07:46:46

Good morning all from a soggy North Leicestershire.

I've had a dreadful night and feel like 'a piece of chewed string' as my nan would say.

DH is off out doing a volunteer drive and showing a new volunteer the ropes. I have a few Christmas related errands to run and then I aim to have a very big sit down.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 02-Dec-25 07:43:56

Morning all from a grey and gloomy West Oxfordshire.

I posted the Australian presents yesterday. Although the presents were ‘light’ it came to just under £100 to send five of them!

I went to my Diabetes Prevention talk but the tutor had double booked and some sort of Christmas party was going on! She wasn’t pleased so we all went home. I went via Waitrose and did a weekly shop.

I am expecting some more parcels today and must get on with wrapping them.

So many of my friends are unwell at the moment - old age or the time of year?

Have a good day. Well done to GM’s son in law.

Hopefully MaryD is improving and the FGT2S are doing well,

Jaxjacky Tue 02-Dec-25 07:43:42

Morning from a damp S Hants, but it’s not raining, yesterday we had more than enough, such a dark day, the voluntary phone wasn’t overly busy.
We were rubbish at quiz, but enjoyed the evening, it gets us out and is very sociable, granddaughter who works in the pub p/t now has keys to open up, party!
What good news gMattie and a relief. I hope pantglas is enjoying her holiday, bet it’s not raining there.
MrJ will be in the loft later for decorations and wrapping paper.
Have the best day you can all.

brook2704 Tue 02-Dec-25 07:39:48

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still dark and feels cold, it’s only about 3°
So please for your son in law gMattie what lovely news
We arrived home from Dd1s safely yesterday evening, the flight was all on time without any problems. We’d spent part of yesterday sightseeing in London which was good but the weather was awful. We walked alongside the Thames, saw the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey etc. all looking beautiful but very wet and grey. Today something complex different as I’m going to a Christmas party night and an overnight stay with a lot of the line dancing ladies from the gym. It’s a few miles down the road in Carrbridge so my pal is picking me up later
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

luluaugust Tue 02-Dec-25 07:37:35

Good morning from a dry W Kent. Off to U3A art group this morning usually a chatty session. Yesterday’s U3A group lunch was very sociable but the food was awful. Rumours the pub will be closing but wouldn’t be surprised if
It does
Best wishes

ginny Tue 02-Dec-25 07:32:39

Good morning. A bright morning forecast but cloudy and hopefully no rain later.
We are taking DHs mum out for lunch at an Emporium today. The food is good and it is a lovely place to wander around. I hope to find some new tree baubles amongst other things.
Picture is of a decorated bottle with lights that I made, a bit safer than a candle.
Thoughts with those who are poorly or troubled and a hope today is kind to you all.

Redcar Tue 02-Dec-25 07:17:23

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s 8 degrees outside and the ground is still wet. Yesterday was awful, heavy rain and wind all day and evening. Today is supposed to be drier with showers later.
Posted the Australian Christmas cards, got wet during the walk to the post office. I started to clear a space in the lounge for the Christmas tree, which meant clearing space in the dining room for displaced stuff from the lounge. I have too much of everything and need to have a major declutter.

I’ll carry on clearing a space, but my back won’t let me move any furniture, so DD2 will do that when she next calls in.

bellasnana well done for getting your car tyres sorted out.
I hope those on holiday are enjoying some sunshine and warmth and that those who are suffering in any way find some relief and comfort.

Have the best day possible everyone, may we all find some 🌞
