Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 2° C.
Happy birthday, favourite pupil! I hope you have a wonderful day. 🥂🎉🎂
Susan, It sounds like you had an enjoyable day yesterday.
I have had a dreadful night, my breathing is bad and the chest infection has flared up.
I shall do an e-consult first thing.
Apparently I must also make an appointment to review my medications. Since no-one had bothered about me all year, when I desperately needed support, this has intrigued me.
Babydoll was such great fun yesterday, so funny, but boy can she be willful.
My son talked about her strong emotions, prompting me to say, Do you mean she had a tantrum?, 😉
Her feet must be sore with all that stomping stamping . 🦶🦶🦶
She told me to go on the naughty step, because I had upset her. 🤣
Unknown to me, her mum told her she could have a jammie day, to make things easier for me, especially as she is being toilet trained. Unfortunately, DIL forgot to tell me.
It was a battle to dress her, so I left the room, only to find the jammies back on, when I returned.
DH and I could not stop laughing at her antics, it was hilarious. I videoed her performance and my response and sent it to her parents, who found it highly entertaining.
In a previous life, I managed the Nuture Unit, there was no chance of her winning. 😉
She loves to help in the kitchen and we made ham hough soup
The kleptomania continues. She decided she was taking the bag of vegetable peelings home with her.🤣
Also we made mini banana loaves, (the last thing I needed to do 😷 given the way I was feeling), each one labelled for papa, mummy, daddy, nana and granddad.
The cakes went home in little gift bags, which she clutched to her chest and refused to let go.
DH is coming with me to do the shopping. He offered to go on his own, but he will bring back only the bare essentials,
I haven't been to the supermarket for over a week and the fridge is bare.
My plan is to do the parish bulletin items today, I worry, I may not feel well enough tomorrow. I feel I am getting worse.
I must include, the good news that the final amount raised from our Ladies' afternoon tea, is £3,200, way beyond our expectations. We had aimed for £2, 000
It shows what can be achieved, when we all pull together. There are only eight of us on the Social Committee!!
The next planned function is a family Hogmany party, which is almost sold out. This is the first one, since pre-pademic. It is a marvellous way to bring families and the community together.
Then the hall will be closed for the rest of the year, to allow us to move in from the church for Mass.
I'm hoping to get a quick response from my GP, but not holding out much hope!. I am am pretty fed up with my lot at the moment!
Enjoy your Friday, folks. Best wishes to all the mountaineers.
