I keep being asked what I would like but I don’t really know! I don’t need ‘stuff’ and I don’t want tat. I wouldn’t mind some compost ready for spring though. How about anyone else?

Nothing except my autistic4 year old non verbal grandaughter to talk.

I would like my health to improve so my OH doesn’t worry as much.

Kitty55 Wed 17-Dec-25 23:38:15

I would love a good laugh with family and friends.

For my DH, paralysed after a brain bleed last February, to be able to take a step...

I am sure the OP did not expect to have answers about world peace etc. why does every thread have to become serious, it was meant I am sure as just a bit of fun or perhaps some suggestions for her. Why ask for things no one can give you as much as you wish for them. We all have a massive list of those.
Sadly no one has a magic wand.

My health back

A magic wand to end cruelty to people and animals, and for the madness that's going on in the UK and around this beautiful world to end. Oh and a new religon called the Religon of the good heart that everyone followed. I think then all this hate and killing would end. Just off to talk to the fairies in my garden now!

anything from Clinique including their Happy perfume, It is so expensive and I go through it rather quickly.
Cheese, fruit, nuts, fresh figs and dates all of which I love. I much prefer things I can use or eat to anything else. Definitely do not need any more clutter nor jewellery.

Peace on earth and goodwill to all men (and women)! However, as I'm unlikely to get that and I know my request to not be bought presents will be ignored by the family except by OH, I'll settle for a really good moisturising body lotion. My skin is getting quite fragile, particularly on my lower arms so I am getting through body lotions by the bucketful. I'd also like some really good quality watercolour paper in a large size but tbh I don't really trust anyone else to buy that. It's my birthday on boxing day so I'll get more gifts then and I really don't need anything!

Can I recommend Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Body Lotion Dry Skin, 400ml?
You can get it in most supermarkets or online at “that big online store “ It’s cheap, but works extremely well, I can’t rate it highly enough.

Just to see everyone as planned, and that they all keep well. This latest flu is a bummer.
Are you an artist foxie? Don't answer that, if it is intrusive.

I’d like all 10 people who are supposed to come for Xmas to be well enough to come and not to be just recovering from a major operation or due to go into hospital for one. We’ve had some disappointing and worrying Christmases recently and I’d love a peaceful one this year.

I would really like a magical catering company to waft in and do all the cooking, including shopping and clearing up, from 20th December to, say, Boxing Day. So that I can spend time enjoying being with my grandchildren instead of clearing up in the kitchen all day and every day.

I very much doubt I will be given anything. Again. Nor for my birthday on Sunday.
It’s very hurtful and I try not to be upset.

That's sad. Happy birthday to you for Sunday.

Missiseff Wed 17-Dec-25 17:42:07

To have my EC & grandchildren back

For it to be over !

Me too...

Colls Wed 17-Dec-25 16:55:54

Ok, a frivolous answer (of course there are many impossible things I would like, not least to have my beautiful dog here again with me sad ) but, failing that, a butler who can cook, decorate, do IT, and do foot and back massages to do all those things that I worry about but don't seem to get done ever.

Applegran Wed 17-Dec-25 16:54:03

I am old enough to feel I already have too much stuff. I love books but how could anyone else know which book I'd like? I ask for donations to charity - refugees and homeless charities for instance.

lixy Wed 17-Dec-25 16:42:01

I’m with you midgey, some good compost would be great, especially if someone delivered it.
(I usually strap a bag or two into the front seat of our car as I have tweaked my back a couple of times heaving it out of the boot.)

Momac55 Wed 17-Dec-25 16:33:52

My mum, dad and sister sadly no longer with us 🥲

hellymart Wed 17-Dec-25 16:31:59

I'd like some peace and quiet, as someone else has said! A spa day, a reading retreat, someone to blitz the whole house clean while I go out for lunch.... (I really don't need any more things)

Cath9 Wed 17-Dec-25 16:30:01

I am easy as anything to do with my garden I love.
It is my older son of 52 yrs is the difficult one. Having to work abroad they both have all except the lotto! Any ideas what to get him? As he makes sure he nearly always spares time to sort out anything I need I was thinking of spending around £80 downwards
