I keep being asked what I would like but I don’t really know! I don’t need ‘stuff’ and I don’t want tat. I wouldn’t mind some compost ready for spring though. How about anyone else?

I very much doubt I will be given anything. Again. Nor for my birthday on Sunday.
It’s very hurtful and I try not to be upset.

Snap- same birthday. It’s annoying so close to Christmas, isn’t it ?

To share a little piece of Christmas cake with DH, while sitting by our big window in the eco house we used to have. Oh well, memories will have to do now

My children and step children to reconcile so I can have all of my children in one place and friends again. 1 used to be so proud of my "patchwork" family 😢

Bellasnana Wed 17-Dec-25 05:41:02

What I would really love is to have all my family together as in the past but with everyone living so far apart it probably won’t ever happen.

I don’t want or need any presents, just for my children and grandchildren to be healthy and happy.

We're giving each other our hearts' desire - a trip to the other side of the world, for two whole months. Carpe diem.

To see Ghost. Luckily I already have tickets for that! I just need the weather to co-operate.

Just a pair of size 5 Barbour slippers.

I’d like to see Donald Trump sectioned and removed from office too!

A Pop-Up card!

I would love so very much for cures or at least treatments to be found for the terrible diseases that people suffer from like Alzheimers, MND cancer and many more,

A holiday
A spa treatment
Instead I’ve asked for a table lamp with three parrots to match the standard light I recently bought from Dunelm
Also a steak on the stone cooker.
Couldn’t think of anything else.
I’m actually selling most of our belongings on eBay as we don’t need most of it.

Our DD nags and nags us from about mid November to make a list and it is so difficult. Neither of us need anything and, if we do, we just buy it for ourselves, so we have to scrabble about trying to think of things. This year I have asked for new slippers or an evening bag or a particular jumper I like the look of. No doubt I’ll get them all!! She’s terribly generous and often buys us a weekend break or something similar which she really shouldn’t do. What I definitely don’t want is ‘stuff’ as I’m desperately trying to get rid of things .

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.

nanna8 Tue 16-Dec-25 23:06:56

Exactly the same as you keepingquiet We will get most of them but there are still several dotted around that we don’t see a lot. I counted up and with partners etc there are now 27 . We have around half coming over, never seem to be able to get all of them. Gippslanders keep to themselves, bushbabies. Still, we love ‘em all.

I would love to have my whole family around on Christmas Day- but I am hopeful we will all be together on Boxing Day if only for a few hours. That will be my Chrsitmas present.

Maremia I dabble with watercolour but I wouldn't call myself an artist. It's a really relaxing way to spend time and I like my own paintings enough to hang them on the walls in my house and if friends or family like something I've painted I'm pleased to let them have them. I do love to use decent paper though and it's expensive!

theworriedwell Tue 16-Dec-25 22:07:38

I keep saying id like to have the car valeted, I can't bring myself to actually pay for it. No one takes me up on it

This week someone doing a three point turn hit my car which was parked outside my house. My husband reckons the repair garage the insurance company use will valet my car. Not exactly how I wanted it done but I suppose I should be careful what I wish for.

ginny Tue 16-Dec-25 22:02:11

I’m lucky that my family are loving and caring and we all get on well so really that’s enough for me. Anything else is the cherry on top.

World peace

Yep...that sounds good to me.

For myself personally - it would be intangible things like "I am fed-up to back teeth working on getting rid of various health issues - so please wave a magic wand and remove them all at once, so that I can forget about them (not to mention saving money on medical bills)"

I'm not after any possessions of any description...nowt I really need or want on that front. A luxury bar of chocolate through the post I've just had = "Now who can I give that away too?".

boheminan Tue 16-Dec-25 20:23:37

No one asks me and if they did, my mind would go blank.

What I'd secretly like is one of those (usually) round Christmassy type boxes of different sorts of cheeses in little wedges. I'm a cheese fanatic but couldn't bring myself to buy a box just for me, however I might go mad this year and pick up a box next time I do my 'big shop' - because I'm worth it!! [tch grin]

tanith Tue 16-Dec-25 20:15:19

Estranged Grandchildren to 'get over it' so we can all be together over Christmas it would make me so happy.
