Good morning. Hoping for less rain today, it never stopped yesterday.
I’ll be making the stuffing and sausage rolls today and will pop them in the freezer for next week. After that I’ll start on gift wrapping.
I’m looking forward to to a girlie evening with my 3 DDs. Pyjamas, nibbles, hot chocolate and a Christmas film. DD1 is hosting.
Hope all outings and visits are enjoyed and there is some improvement for our poorly Grans. A good day wished for all.

Good morning from soggy South Lanarkshire.

Lovely to see you back Gagagran, wonderful news about your DH.

DH and I were feeling most un-christmassy so took the daft dug for a walk via our nearby hotel where we popped in to have coffee and delicious scones. In the evening a friend and I went to watch a screening of It’s a Wonderful Life in our wee theatre. It’s a Christmas tradition but DH would have found sitting difficult as there’s not a lot of space hence going with my friend. I was astonished to find that at the age of eighty she had never heard of the film but thankfully really enjoyed it.

Today food shopping and picking up a few little bits and bobs is my plan. I’m hoping to then avoid shops till after Christmas.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and everyone.
It's cold here in Shropshire but thankfully, dry.
Yesterday I made a chicken stock. I need it for the soup I'm making today which has to be gluten free, lactose free and contain no onions, garlic or celery!
I shall be going into town later this morning to do some Marks and Spencer food shopping and to buy a Playstation gift card for my grandson.

Wishing you all the best day possible. My thoughts are with all who are finding life challenging for whatever reason. flowers

Good morning all, from Glasgow, where it is 7° and showery

Good to see you posting Gaga. That"s what Babydoll calls me.

I've had the most awful hight, due to my respiratory problems. I woke coughing and unable to breathe. It was really frightening.
Most of the night was spent, trying to clear my chest.
DH, of course, exhausted after a day with Babydoll, never stirred, I thought I was going to die alone. 😪

Yesterday was exhausting. Babydoll was very demanding,
Like myself, she has had a long standing cough. I was upset to hear, that at two and half, she has been prescribed an inhaler. 😪
She has been diagnosed with possible asthma, (too young for a proper diagnosis) given the fact that I am asthmatic, both of her parents are asthmatic and her cousins have inhalers. It explains the continuing, snotty, running nose and persistant cough. 😪

We decided to go to B&M to pass the time. All the way round the shop, we repeated, I need, x and x and x ....... from Santa. 😂
Her greatest wish is for a Spidernan suit and Spiderman t-shirt,
I have the T shirt, I hope her parents have the suit. 😂

We did some baking, for her parents and other grandparents, lt looked as if there had been a flour bomb explosion. What a mess! Not up to your standard, GM, Rather rustic, but made with love.
When Babydoll, turned and said, I am happy, Gaga,, are you.? , I knew it was all worth while. 😍

Just as I was clearing up, DIL and Dollie unexpectedly arrived. Dollie was carrying a painting, done on canvas for us and one for Babydoll's parents. 💕
We were running so late, that the clearing up was waiting for me, when I got back.

It didn't help that for the thirty minute journey to her home, in rush hour traffic and torrential rain, she proceeded to complain about every perceived injustice of her day. Where did all that new vocabulary come from?
She was fortunate that she actually made it to her home!!
On the way home, I told DH to drive past our house, I refused to cook and we were having fish suppers! 😉

The Safeguarding saga continues. The person involved has gone to the other extrene, even seeking permission from the fly on the wall and a bird flying past.
I think she may be making a point.

She is hassling the P,P, because I have refused to engage with her and of course, he is hassling me, to check all permissions. Machiavelli is her middle name,
I was feeling weary and was too busy yesterday, and said I wanted to take my time to do it properly.
DH is raging, the photo he asked to be removed from Facebook, has been reposted on another Facebook page. A salutary lesson for those, who believed I was over reacting.

A visit too Sainsbury's is required, then getting stuck into the video,
I'm dreading it.

I wish you all. A pleasant day and my thoughts are with the mountaineers.

Good morning all and no rain forecast today. Yesterday was dreadful ☔️.

I made more sausage rolls and a lemon cheesecake to take to DS1’s on Boxing Day. All in the freezer now. Just a cheeseboard to get. That’s my contribution sorted.

The bowls club Christmas gathering at a friends house was really good. So much food and drink offered. They really do go overboard but are such wonderful hosts. The husband does all of the cooking and hosting with the wife wafting around , chatting and looking glamorous. It obviously suits them both . I’m just jealous! 😅.

Today ds2 is coming at lunchtime to spend the afternoon with us before he and his brother go out this evening to meet up with their old pals. (10 altogether) all in their 50’s now and I’d love to be a fly in the wall.

Seckford Hall is lovely Liberty. I’ve been to a ‘wake’ there.
Enjoy your meal at the seafront hotel GG. Another beautiful place.

Take care 🎄

Good Morning from Durham. After yesterday’s deluge, it’s dry today. I seem very tired and my eyes are sore, but I’ve washed my hair and have to be at DD1’s for 11, where DD2 is picking us up. She wants to have a look at a particular shop then we’ll have a bit of lunch somewhere. As we don’t know the area, we’re unsure of the parking nearby even with her Blue Badge.
DD1 is at her chiropractor first thing, still going 3x a week. She’s fed up being off sick for weeks now, but work want her to wait for her MRI result before going back. It’s worrying, as she’s had ‘back trouble’ for years, including surgeries.

Best wishes to all. X

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Heavy rain last night and blowy today.

I love the biscuits Babydoll . Clever wee thing!

Yoga was very nice. So was lunch with my past pottery students, one of whom now runs a busy teaching studio in Edinburgh.

I finished knitting and sewing up the sweater I have made for DGD. I hope her sister doesn't object.

I called the garage yesterday to ask them to look at my noisy car. You're a bit late late for what! but bring it in on Monday. So I hope I won't be needing it over the holidays.

Reminder of how glad I am not to rely on a car. There are 5 buses from here though no longer a train.

My volunteer shift on the shop till and then I have nothing planned and think I need a lull.....
I started to clean the loo with mouthwash this morning-

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Shropshire.

I left a message for my diabetes team after the drama of the night before and my nurse called me yesterday evening. She is able to check all my levels as my sensor is connected to her computer. As a result the amount of insulin I use has been reduced. It was increased while I was ill but now I am moving more I don’t need as much.

Today we will have a day at home while I adjust to the new doses.

Safe travels to all on the move and hope all unwell are improving.

Marydoll it is unbelievable that people are not supporting you in a safeguarding issue😡

FGT thinking of you and Himself as always 🙏🏻

Wishing everyone the best day possible 🎅🏻🎄

Kalu Fri 19-Dec-25 09:21:57

Good morning all. A dreich day in Glasgow. Grey, wet and windy.

A visit to the cross today which has an undercover car park, hoping to find a space to do an M&S food shop and a winter bouquet for DD1. I will be visiting her and the girls later but mainly to see the kittens again. 🤫 😂 After a check at the vets it transpired that the two tom cats are actually one male and one female.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Marydoll Fri 19-Dec-25 09:33:12

Marydoll it is unbelievable that people are not supporting you in a safeguarding issue😡.

Naivity on the part of most people, but this particular individual is on a power trip and thinks she knows it all.
Her pride has been hurt and she wants revenge.

Ziplok Fri 19-Dec-25 09:33:43

Good morning everyone.
It’s a much brighter morning than yesterday and forecast to remain brighter and dry. Yesterday afternoon it never paused with the rain. When we got back from lunch with our friends, I locked the door and drew the blinds on it, and we settled for an afternoon of reading and pottering.

Today, I must tackle the ironing.

Welcome back, Gagagran. Lovely to see you posting here again.

I will go back and read all the posts, now. I only got so far, but thought I’d better post before it got too late.

Wishing everyone all the best.

Susan56 Fri 19-Dec-25 09:52:21

Marydoll I was thinking she probably doesn’t want to lose face.

Could you get whoever is in charge of safegauarding overall to put a statement in the parish bulletin😇

Blossoming Fri 19-Dec-25 11:10:27

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire. So good to see blue sky after all the rain.

Yesterday we met up with some of MrB’s family for coffee and chat. I was not looking forward to it, I used to be much more sociable but the last year has really taken its toll. Of course, it was absolutely fine and we had an enjoyable time.

Today MrB and I have been for our usual walk around the dock. It’s such a pleasant morning and I am feeling good now the steroid spray has kicked in. It doesn’t take much to make me happy these days.

I’m thinking of our poorly grans and those with troubles, as always.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing 🦩🦩🦩

Ilovedogs22 Fri 19-Dec-25 11:49:18

Good morning from the west midlands, a bright, sunny day here.
Last bits of Christmas shopping to do today, trying to do it before MrILovedogs sticks his ruddy oar in!
I'm planning to sow some Broad bean seeds soon, they normally do quiet well as long as I can protect them from the dreaded Blackflies!
Have a safe & peaceful day everyone & don't worry about the Christmas dinner, it's just a fancy roast at the end of the day.
Also, at this time year one can always resort to a massive swig of the sherry or port, or both, if everyone is acting like a pillock. 😶
