I m not surprised he’s a wonderful author and kids love his books but he comes across as a really sleazy individual
He has been dropped because of inappropriate behaviour towards young females Not for the first time either he’s been involved in poor behaviour more than once

I've learned as I've aged and observed and people watched that there are "some" devious strange behaved people that attach themselves to churches, clubs organisations for their own means or devious thoughts . They are seen to be pillars of the Community or very good fund raisers and they are but sometimes as years go by they are outed for their wrong doings . I.e. a woman who ran a church for years, loved dearly , supportive , stole an inheritance left to the church and used it for her family , years went by , no one noticed and the committee changed, then a clever new member outed her . I knew a "good " samaritan who worked as a listener for years , a helpful decent man , until I found him out . He had a criminal record and was a wife beater and he used his narcissistic ways to befriend other vulnerable listeners . We all know now that there are heads of this and leaders of that who have been outed for horrible things done to vulnerable people . I see things more clearly now . We all need to be more aware .

Too right, Doodledog. Given that some well known people did try to speak out against the likes of Savile and were either silenced or dismissed, so just imagine how hard is for ordinary people to do so.

The allegations are that employees at the publishers were advised to go to meetings with him in pairs and not to go to his home. If that is accurate then there was collusion as well. There is a new ceo at the publishers, I wonder if it was her appointment that changed things.

At a guess I would say that a new broom, plus the likelihood of an expose will have combined.

Obviously it is not in publishers' interests to make one of their more successful authors unpopular. They could have just dropped him quietly rather than make a big announcement, so it looks to me like a deliberate move to distance themselves from whatever is coming.

Yes, it looks that way doesn’t it?
As juniors were told to see him in pairs and not to go to his home the bosses knew there was a problem so why didn’t they have a quiet word warning him off ?

It’s likely Walliams was warned off, Oreo. As was Russell Brand I’m sure

This type of predatory man takes no notice

In that case, arrogant as well.
