Good Morning Christmas Day 25th December 2025

Good morning, Michael and a Merry Christmas to you, and all GNs. Just light here and a dry day. I am at DDs. She has just brought me a coffee and they are off out to do a local Christmas Day park run with friends and their children. We will open presents when they come back. I slept fitfully last night though only because I’m not used to a single bed!

DD’s two boys woke at 5.30am, she managed to contain them until 7.30am when they woke us, much excitement and lots of wrapping paper, gifts, sweets, biscuits etc.

New bike and scooter will be used after breakfast, new iPads will be set up this afternoon.

Turkey is about to go in the oven.

Good morning from a very chilly but bright sunny Suffolk. Just DH and I here today and tomorrow DS and his tribe although eldest DGD home from university is working as a waitress at her usual holiday job. She told me last night she had received over £100 in tips for an earlier shift in the week!

About to walk our little dog and then a peaceful day with present opening,delicious food all cooked by DH and phone calls from DDs and their offspring.

Hope today and in the following days all find peace and comfort and can look forward to the new year with hope in your hearts.

Good morning to you all from a dry sunny Lincolnshire. Hope you all have a lovely Christmas. I don’t usually post. This thread is one of the things that has really kept me going after unexpectedly losing my lovely DH 17 months ago. I look forward to reading it every day. This year I’m cooking Christmas lunch for the first time, for myself and my two teenagers, he was always the chef, loved doing it.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's quite mild, no ice.
I've already been sent pictures of snow in France, sunshine in NZ and ice in Denmark.
I forgot to put my stocking up Hollysteers but there are presents under the tree. I think at least 2 are alcoholic

I'm heading down the road later, on foot, to a friend who has invited a few of us ladies on their own this year
for lunch, drinks and party games.

Happy Christmas everyone. Just the two of us this Christmas. We usually go to our daughter's for Christmas but due to not being very well leading up to the festive season we decided not to go this year, it's a 200 mile and long stay. Had some beautiful presents in the post and just had a lovely Alexa call with them. Lovely Turkey dinner eaten so it's waiting for the King here and I feel a snooze coming on! ❤️
