How is MissAdventure doing? We haven't heard from her for ages - the last report I could find was back in June. I hope she is ok, and that she had a good Christmas.

petra, or anyone else who is in touch with her, would you please let her know she is not forgotten and that she is missed on GN?

petra

I will save this page and read it out to her next time we speak.
One little piece of info I will share is: I’m sure a lot of you remember her youngest grandson lives with her.
He now has an apprenticeship and going to college. 🥰

Fantastic news! ...I noted her GS lived with her and she proper worried about where life would take him

We don't half miss her and her unique, witty sense of humour and take on everything.

I didn't get a chance to get to know her and I think I may have upset her slightly on one occasion, but I certainly found her witty remarks enjoyable and wish her well.

I'm also pleased to hear about her grandson. As an ex-college lecturer I was always thrilled when a student who wasn't sure where he or she was going in life found something they really liked and were good at. Even when I "graduated" to a Uni I always had time for those who needed a bit of advice and encouragement.

Hope you are doing okay MissA.

No Ubers in our rural area, and nowadays very few local Taxi firms. As others have said the ones that exist are used for school runs at those times and are not cheap - if you can find one!

We live up a steep hill from the village and I don't know what we'll do when we can't drive/ DH won't consider moving!

That's good news. Thanks Petra and thanks for starting this thread Doodledog
I miss Missadventure too and her take on life.

Good to know you’re plodding on, MissA, and what good news about your grandson! All the best to you and yours.

I’d love to see MissA making a return to Gransnet. Often when I’m reading certain threads I think to myself this thread needs one of MissA’s witty comments .

I hope you’ll soon be back to full strength MissA and ready to join us in the New Year 💐
