I have no doubts that the visit will go ahead unless there’s illness on one side.
The Royals are used to being diplomatic and am sure the visit will be a success.
As for visiting Harry, now that really is doubtful!

That’s an understatement. Aside from geopolitics, Trump and Republicans have ensured that millions of underprivileged Americans lost healthcare coverage on the first of this month. Their racist hatred of Obama saw them do away with a subsidy that helped cover medical costs for the poor. He has attacked public education, public employment, and healthcare, which have been springboards for minorities and women to advance.

Trump is a vulgarian and if the Prince and Princess of Wales visit the USA he will do everything he can to exploit their visit to his own ends. And no doubt the toady Starmer, still clinging to power, will be there too.

Thé Jape Rae emperor and various monstrous criminals have been entertained by royalty despite public outcry. I can’t see them changing.

The visit should not go ahead. Trump has spent any good will he has.

I think if I were Kate I'd be unwell. I think it depends how Starmer reacts. He needs to condemn acts of illegality and I think he will.

I definitely would be unwell and not attend.

This goes against the grain of any democracy´s Constitution.

They have no need to make a decision at this point.

The Royals have their diaries made up many, many months in advance.

The Royal Family are excellent when it comes to soft power

The current POTUS will not be in power for ever, the visit should go ahead.

Whether we like it or not the USA is a major trading partner and Europe/UK needs to keep the relationship going.

It seems odd to me to have a future King at any celebration of overthrowing our last King.

I am sure the intended message is a long the lines of "see, look at us still allies 250 years later".

I just have an image on my head of them embraced uncomfortably by Trump while he waving his arm over the United States and smiling and says "look how well we have done!" And the country is just on fire.

William and Kate will go for the people of the US. Trump can take it whatever way he wants but that will be the reason.

Good advice

As the visit is not until July, I think they should maintain a diplomatic silence and take a measured judgements at a later date. Given how volatile the current situation is, anything could happen.
