We all have our own set of belief but a bit of Christmas cheer isn't going to hurt a soul in my opinion!

I've left a couple of sets of twinkly lights up for my own enjoyment so have covered my back either way. grin

I hope you feel better soon. Take no notice of superstitions. They are only customs. We had a good but eccentric and disorganised elderly friend. She would invite us for supper on Twelfth Night but was usually still putting the decorations up when we arrived! She then left them up until February. She was in her nineties when she died and didn’t seem to have any bad luck.

We had a bucketful of bad luck last year but I doubt it was because we take our Christmas decs came down early.
Bad luck is random and not down to the Gods.

The late Queen used to leave them up until February. No, it won't bring bad luck. Don't worry about it. Our nativity stays up all year long as the DGC like to play with it.

Some people leave them up until the official end of the Christmas season, which is Candlemas, on the 2nd February. I’ve seen a Christmas tree outside a church near a dd left up until then.
So no, it’s not bad luck!

Get well soon!

Maybe just switch the lights off for now if you are superstitious!

I have been very ill for most of December and so far this month too. Luckily I did get my Christmas decorations up before I fell ill. The problem is that I'm not well enough to take them down and I have nobody to do it for me. Is it really bad luck to leave them up after twelfth night? I can't see me getting them down anytime soon and I could do without yet more bad luck.
