Usually M&S as they do different lengths
I have brought a few from them this winter from different ranges wide leg pull on smart Jersey ones, wide leg knitted jersey, boot leg jeggins in grey cord.
M&S certainly have a large range.

I haven’t worn a dress for years. I normally wear jeans or straight leg trousers from Bon Marché, M&S or Cotton Traders.

I live and in trousers, I did wear two dresses this on the Queen Mary for the “posh” evenings, but only because I couldn’t find any proper posh trousers, so thank you for your published choices, I’ll be checking them out flowers

I wear trousers all the time. TBH these are usually jeans; I do have what I'd call "smart" black jeans. which I happily wear if going out to lunch! I have a pair of "proper" black trousers for special occasions; these are from M&S. IMO a pair of jeans or trousers can instantly be "smartened up" or "dressed down" by the appropriate top worn with them.

When it is cold I wear plain black, grey or navy trousers for best. Land's End do a good range and they are reasonable cut and quality. As for style, I am short and dumpy so I wear slim legged trousers but taller people can bring off the more fashionable wide leg trousers.* The inevitable Marks and Spencer also do a good range.

I still think that, for me, dresses are more comfortable in the warmer months and I really don't look good in shorts or cropped trousers.

I hope this is of some help to you.

*For older people wide leg trousers can present a tripping hazard especially if they cover your shoes,

I wear trousers all the time. Sometimes jeans but mostly straight leg jersey either from Lands End or M&S.

Jersey doesn't need ironing- mostly - and looks good all the time imo.

Wear what you like and feel comfortable in. That’s pretty much the dress code nowadays.

I hate the feel of tights so I wear trousers all the time until it’s warm enough for bare legs and a dress.

Usually FatFace or White Stuff. Joules seems to making a comeback too.

I don’t worry about what other people wear.

I bought mine from Bon Marche and they’re fabulous. They are pull on with a short elastic panel in the waistband around the hip area but they are woven fabric, not jersey. Wash well and minimal ironing.

I went to a Christmas lunch recently and noticed that most of the ladies were wearing trousers (mostly black). I wore a dress. Are trousers the go to choice for a lot of people, and, if so, where do they buy them and what sort? Thank you.
