If you could be anyone else, who would it be? Only frivolous and non-judgmental answers please. It's just a bit of fun.

I'd be Claudia. I so would.

Are you still work with someone who really indulged her only daughter (called Emma). I used to say that I’d like to come back as her! My mum always says she’d like to come back as a small dog in a good home!

Lahlah65 Mon 12-Jan-26 14:21:25

Sorry - should read I used to work….🙄

If I tired of being Claudia I'd be Alicia Florrick from "The Good Wife".

Another vote for Alice Roberts.

Myself 35 years ago
OR
anyone with a nice semi in London

My first thought was Jane Moore from Loose Women! She's about my age, has had a successful career and divorce (😄) always looks great and seems very sorted and in control of her life. Then I thought - maybe an actress who's at the end of her career but has been successful and has so many wonderful memories - Imelda Staunton or Celia Imrie maybe? But I'd also quite like to be Tim Peake or David Attenborough! Hard isn't it?!

JdotJ Mon 12-Jan-26 15:23:39

I'd be Farrah Fawcett-Majors in Charlie's Angels

I just thought of another one....
Brigitte Macron..... she's kicked the internet trolls into touch with her victory in the French Courts and she can remain the happy companion of the 25 years younger handsome , intelligent French President.
That's not just because he doesn't mind an older woman.
I'm aware that my comments are probably ageist and sexist..... I think GsNetters probably will..... *just get over it*😊😊🤣😉

By the way, my second choice after David Attenborough (whole life, obv) could be my DH - then I could be married to ME grin

Grandma70s Mon 12-Jan-26 15:34:08

Second choice after Margot Fonteyn would be a cat, preferably owned by me.

cookiemonster66 Mon 12-Jan-26 15:42:38

I would be Dr Alice Morgan, the femme fatale in LUTHER not because I want to go round murdering people, BUT I love her confidence, she is not scared of anything or anyone, she radiates empowerment, she is bold and daring and super sexy, gosh I wish I was more like her!

Silvertwigs Mon 12-Jan-26 16:01:55

Claudia everytime!

TiggyW Mon 12-Jan-26 17:09:13

Micheline Connery!

I don't want to be anyone else now, but way back in the day I'd have loved to be the dancer (Pan's People etc) Cherry Gillespie.

spabbygirl Mon 12-Jan-26 17:49:02

Keira knightly or Claudia, or if allowed Janie Morri, Wm. Morris wife, but not the dead bit! Just think though, lived in the worst hovel in Oxford, went to the theatre, met Morris, Rossetti and all & found herself mister of a home in London and a manor in Oxfordshire

It doesn’t get any better than that does it😂

If I could be a man and could go back in time too, then I’d be Paul Newman.
Good looks, a talented actor and a sensible and stable character.
Not to mention women ( and men) swooning over me wherever I went.😂

Paul Newman was the same age as my Dad. Weird
years ago during Lockdown I lived in a village near
Ilkley with a Library which could only be described as dire.

when I returned a new, ‘dry as dust’ bio of Paul Newman, the officious, volunteer Librarian, turned it over in her hand, asked, “is this a famous person.” unbelievable
Joanne Woodward said, he held her interest as he made her laugh.
you would have us all swooning, Orea

Had she lived all her life in an Ilkley cave?🤭 I have always wanted blue eyes, so I would have them as well as money and a great life as Newman.

I'd like to be Alice Roberts. I am interested in all the things she is but I'm not clever like she is. sad

I think she has the loveliest face. 😀

Not to mention the pink hair😃

I’ve thought of someone else I’d like to be, or have been: Miss Read, who wrote the Fairacre and Thrush Green books. Imagine writing lovely books that make people happy, and accidentally making a lot of money because the books sell so well.

Tenko Mon 12-Jan-26 18:28:10

I’d like to be Twiggy . She’s had such an interesting life and still looks amazing .
I love the 60s and was too young to be part of it .

In real life “Miss Read” was called Dora Saint.

Dottydots Mon 12-Jan-26 18:30:23

I'm still thinking!

Dottydots Mon 12-Jan-26 18:36:43

Got it! I would like to be Trixie in Call the Midwife.

Azalea99 Mon 12-Jan-26 19:15:19

I thought I’d say something like Trump or Putin so I could put right all the things etc, etc. But then I realised that this is a serious hypothetical issue so there’s no doubt whatsoever. I’d be Jessica Fletcher.

Schnackie2 Mon 12-Jan-26 19:19:23

I was a teenager in the 60's and when Patti Boyd was mentioned, I immediately agreed. But perhaps Twiggy is a better choice, as she didn't have the relationship traumas that Patti did (as far as I know...). I've always loved both of them.
