Donald Adolf Hitler Trump

At least Starmer did stand up and tell him that he cannot take over another country. But really , why isnt every single country gathering together to inform him in no uncertain terms that his threats are totally unacceptable and that he will not be allowed to behave in this way?.

Or perhaps Trump would understand it a bit better if everyone announced that they were going to claim the USA. Of course , in fact Britain could say that they are going to reclaim it ! Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander. Trump seems to think, in the same way as Hitler, that might is right, that he can just lay claim to another country for everyone to allow him to continue.
Well Donald,
even if you choose not to look at it, we know what such attitudes lead to, and we do not have short memories. Whilst I know it is not easy to be sure where everything comes from , at least we could all do our best, not to buy anything from america, and if we could get everyone in all the countries he is planning to charge to do the same, perhaps if americans were hit in their pockets , they might look at what is happening. If they are not interested in justice and fairness, then perhaps being hit in their own pockets might get them to look at where Trump is taking them.

I don’t really understand why Trump wishes to take over Greenland. Yes I appreciate its strategic importance but US have based troops and even nuclear defences there in the past without taking over. Why aren’t they seeking to negotiate with NATO, Greenland and Denmark to increase the defences without sovereignty?

I would suggest it has far more the Greenland itself, ie minerals and oil.

It's worth looking up Cossy, just so that you get your own impression.

Madeleine, I am curious. What makes you say that other countries are not saying the same?

The EU has made it clear, collectively, Germany, Denmark, Greenland, Norway, Finland, The Netherlands likewise.

Harris27 Mon 19-Jan-26 14:07:01

He’s definitely a dictator. Glad starmer is speaking up very worrying though.

25Avalon Mon 19-Jan-26 14:09:04

That’s one explanation Cossy. In which case it’s more like declaring war. Strategic defence then serves a double purpose.

The Norway letter saying he no longer has an obligation to think purely of peace as their country failed to give him the Nobel Peace prize, shows yet again what a dangerous narcissist he is. Truly shocking.

Smileless2012 Mon 19-Jan-26 14:16:16

America doesn't need to own Greenland to increase security against China and Russia, that's just an excuse.

What about the mad message to Norway?

I’m
Not aware of this??

I posted the whole message earlier today on the Greenland thread on News & Politics.

There's nothing at all diplomatic about it grin

Too true. His spoilt baby attitude is a danger to the world.

Whitzend I believe The orange ones father did come from Europe not sure if it was Germany or Eastern Europe and I did read that his grandfather built the Trump empire ion brothels and prostitution
Both the orange ones parents were members of the KKK so not sure his Scottish side is any better than his EEuropean side

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 19-Jan-26 14:32:11

I would suggest that the timing of recent threats from Mr Trump is relevant - is anyone talking about the files regarding activities on the island belonging to the late Mr Epstein - no?; result!
Also, if his country is in a "war" situation, the POTUS will be able to cancel the mid term elections, thus avoiding any potential embarrassing defeats for the Republican party.

The bottom line is that lunatic is: A sadist / A pedaphile / A Narcissist / A psychopath / Belongs in a strait jacket / Crueler than cruel ..

Hiring a team of professional mercenaries would be a wise selection of how to get rid of these maniacs.

This is a serious situation and needs to be handled carefully while carrying on saying No! to his demands.
We do need to stand firm and defend international law from Trump but diplomatically and keep the high ground.
Trump is sinking to new depths over Greenland.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 19-Jan-26 15:30:12

I am not a fan of the current POTUS

I do find the incessant name calling of him on here along with claims regarding his mental capacity rather unnecessary.

Fallingstar Mon 19-Jan-26 15:40:56

Is Trump’s verbal incontinence being used by those pulling his strings in the US to act as a safety net so that if things go hideously wrong Trump will be the fall guy, not them.

CoolCoco Mon 19-Jan-26 15:46:12

The note to Norway is unhinged. We know he often says one thing then forgets about it/says something completely contradictory . Lets just hope he doesn't send in the gunboats.

62Granny Mon 19-Jan-26 16:07:31

What I can't understand is why? On news yesterday ( sorry not sure what channel either BBC1 or Sky) there was someone on from the Greenland Government and he said they, USA, already have unlimited access to Greenland have numerous military bases there and are welcome to drill for oil and other things, so why does he need to cause all this mayhem , he is a megalomaniac?

If Trump has dementia, GG13, it is very important to be aware of that.
If he has dementia, he will not get better.

Sadly I am well aware of the dangers of dementia and Alzheimer’s.

I thought candidates for POTUS have to undergo a rigorous medical evaluation before they can stand.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 19-Jan-26 17:14:41

Just checked this is what I found 🤷‍♀️

Smileless2012 Mon 19-Jan-26 17:19:54

Precisely GG no tests he may have undergone do not have to legally mandated so a waste of time really.

Maremia Mon 19-Jan-26 17:43:20

And he did 'ace' those tests he described. How do we know? He told us so.

Maremia Mon 19-Jan-26 17:44:30

It is a form of elder abuse, that he is not being helped and treated properly.
But, to do so, too many vested interests would lose power.

Unless you are a qualified medical professional you are just assuming that POTUS has dementia.

He may be irrational, but he was in his first term and the American people still re-elected him.

Have you actually read his message to the Danish PM?
