I think there’s an element of snobbery around spoons!
I think the buildings are absolutely magnificent & always a nod to the origins.
They are always warm & have very clear pricing.
I often pop in to mine for a bite to eat/drink, when shopping.
No one bats an eyelid to a woman of a certain age, on her own, minding her own business!
I’ve never felt uncomfortable or self conscious in there.
Free Wi-Fi & refills of tea too!
I think they definitely are a hub of social community here, we often meet in small groups as it’s no music or dog policy suits us.
Some people have never been in a spoons, yet form opinion upon snobbery…
