Oh joy. Wide awake at 3am. It's very windy here and the windows are whistling. I've been lying awake trying to trick myself into going back to sleep. No luck. Will just get up.

Woke just on four this morning. Just finished Spider and Solitaire and read a silly book for a while. Mound of ironing to do this morning and heavy rain to look forward to later.
A similar pattern here georgesgran and j52 except I seem to run in weekly cycles.
No excuse for not sleeping. It’s been a fun, busy day with good friends who are staying for a few days. I know I’ve been anxious about food, I’m out of practice , so far so good and we’re out for lunch tomorrow (today!) so no need to fret about that.
Oh well, I’m happy enough. Warm and comfortable as I hope you all are. .
I went to church then a lunch social which was nice.
Came home and crashed out for a couple hours and then started to attack the overgrown area which is now into year 38 of the dispute with my neighbour .
I realise that from our conversation during the week that he contradicts himself all the time.
More promises about addressing the issue.
It was hard work .
His brambles have entwined themselves around a tree .
Came in and fell fast asleep until the early hours .
And a restless night ensued .
Another for-hour stint for me.

I’ve given up - about every 10 days or so, I don’t sleep at all. It doesn’t bother me.
I seem to follow a similar pattern. I wonder if it is the phases of the moon! There doesn’t seem to be an explanation. I slept like a log last night!
Avaline.i really do think the key is acceptance once you stop worrying you are much more ikely to drop off
The clock change makes no difference to me I still do about the same rhythm of wake /sleep
I've been awake since before 3am. I probably had a few hours up till then. It will have to do. I may have a nap this afternoon.
I'm going to my DGD school concert tonight so had better be awake for that!
I came to bed relatively early for us (11 ish) but t now I am wide awake. Tummy is really uncomfortable which doesn’t help.
I’ll try again.
I’ve given up - about every 10 days or so, I don’t sleep at all. It doesn’t bother me, I’m fine afterwards and never sleep during the day, unless I’m unwell. I’m off downstairs for tea and a biscuit and will wait until dawn to get ready for the day ahead.
Heading up to bed now. I’ve had DD2, DGS2 and their dog here most of the day, so a relative early night for me. I always tidy up at bedtime, so that I come downstairs to a house that just needs a quick dust/vacuum.
Hope MB70 has a good break and the problems are resolved in her absence.
I stopped contributing to this thread as I found that it really helped me to just relax and go with the sleep flow. I'm sleeping pretty well and if I don't, well, it's OK.
My reason for posting today is wandering if changing the clocks upsets everyone's sleep patterns. The clocks go forward next weekend. My sleep often goes haywire for a bit after that then settles. Is it just me?
Am sorry for those who are awake, due to illnesses - that’s tough 🌺
After tossing and turning , i’ve decided to give up trying and make use of my time. So I retrieved one of the many photo albums and tore up (didn’t want to use shredder for obvious reasons ) the photos that my children would never be interested in. So, one down 7 or 8 to go. If I do one every night , I think i could the lot in about 10 days.
I shall now to sleep . If I dont, so be it. I’ll play some word games.
Good night !
I am awake with my restless legs, it's hell on earth. It's a side effect of my kidney disease but I have an appointment with my kidney specialist in a few days so will ask about getting some relief from it.
I am permanently exhausted through lack of sleep, it is so debilitating.
Morning all. Hope all goes well for you MayBee and you have a good visit.
We are about to seed the bottom of our garden. It was all veg beds but a bit too much for us now.
Quiet day in the offing, but a walk into the village for the Sunday papers first thing. 3 mile round trip. Best done when the sun shines.
Thanks J52. I’ve always got on with my neighbours so it’s knocked me for six.
I’m awake as well. After a long run of sleeping well, I’ve had a couple of nights when I just can’t get to sleep.
I’ve listened to a story, looked at the I pad in the dark downstairs to avoid disturbing DH. None of this has helped. I’m going back to bed now to try again.
I hope you have a good holiday MB70 and can forget about your neighbours.
I’ve just had a cup of coffee as I’m going away at 6am and am still packing things. And I’ve got to put grass seed down and put moss killer on the path. I can’t put the seed down while the dogs here in case it gets into her paws and I’m hoping it grows while I’m away. Is it just me but, on the very rare occasion that I have an argument with someone it makes me quite ill and I can’t stop going over it all in my mind trying to make sense of it. I envy people that can just move on from such things. It’s a good job I’m going away; it should clear my head.
I had a very early night and was asleep by about 10.00 pm which is very unusual for me. I was so tired all day yesterday, but here I am again. It’s as though I can’t stay asleep for more than four hours.

Not sure if this link will work but I’m still in such a state about the row with my neighbours about the blocked drain that I can’t sleep. So I’m hoping that listening to some Tom Hardy bedtime stories will help me to wind down
I ve been awake a few times just relaxing trying not to think some vivid dreams I can’t remember
No Maybe my drain problem is nothing to do with fat or food going down, it’s an outside problem, although it has a cover on it , the cover had moved slightly and I believe with the rain and wind etc over the winter some soil around it has got into it I ll have one more go but I think it’s a ‘pay for’ job….boo
A little later today, around 4:30. Tired last evening but watched another episode of Woman of Substance, until the predictability got on my nerves. Sunny again today so out in the garden I expect. ….as snooze in the sun?
I’m awake, been awake an hour. I always put off doing anything for at least an hour in the (usually vain) hope that I’ll go back to sleep.
I managed to have a nap in the afternoon so coped with my 12 hour day of busyness.
Today is much quieter, for which I am grateful.
Afraid not. Again, I have things to do in the morning, so here I am. I need to be able to pay attention, too - I am more likely to fall asleep I think. It’s so annoying when this happens.
