Time who arrested some Americans? If you mean the American authorities you’re mistaking them for a country with a functioning justice system. If you mean us, then please explain how that would work. And no, it didn’t all happen there.

Epstein and Maxwell were jailed and if evidence of crimes were committed in the US Im sure they will be pursued.
The arrests in the UK were made because credible suspicion does exist, whether it amount to enough to charge them remains to be seen. Because many of the released files have yet to be analyzed it may take some time.

They now think Stansted Airport may have been a venue in the trafficking.

You can't assume that Andrew was caught up in everything that each person was doing. I would imagine that Epstein was aware of what went on, but each of his "clients" probably thought that Epstein was his own special friend and was just fixing it for him to carry out his own fantasies.

They may have wondered about the other people they met at Epstein's parties, and may even have interacted with some of them, but each of them would have been very protective of their own secrets, and so they would not have enquired too closely about anyone else's. Epstein kept all the correspondence to keep tabs on everyone, but it wasn't passed round like a Christmas round robin.

I suspect Andrew thought only of his own desires and preferences. He may even have been genuinely unaware of the age of the women and girls he was introduced to - sixteen or seventeen year olds can look like young women in their twenties, and he wasn't expecting to hold mature philosophical conversations with them. There is no mention in what has been released of the Epstein papers that he had any interest in really young teenagers or preteens.

I am not saying this to excuse him if he knew that the girls were underage, trafficked and unwilling, but do remember that legally he is to be considered innocent until proved guilty, and that you cannot say that he was involved in evil with "Not just women or teens and pre teens but toddlers and even babies" unless you have evidence that it is true. It could leave you in danger of a charge of libel.

Er yes, I said untruthfully, having read all the articles in the newspaper, joined in comments on here, and participated in an extremely well-informed discussion in the u3a discussion group after we had all claimed to be so fed up of it all.

He is the gift that keeps on giving, presumed guilty by all and sundry before he has been tried or even charged.

So many investigations taking place all over the UK, is quite incredible. And I imagine the same is true of the US where I imagine federal agents are investigating. My worry is that they could possibly find bodies, for obviously the stakes were very high with regard to the truth ever coming out.
But what if Trump??
He says he is exonerated but surely is illegal for anyone connected to him to gerrymander with the files in order to remove his name etc., and surely with today’s technology redacted information can easily be recovered.
So why isn’t Trump being investigated??
If a member of the royal family isn’t above the law then he certainly shouldn’t be.

Only there doesn’t seem to be the same process over there with regard to getting someone in the spotlight, as Andrew has been.

It’s upto the US authorities to investigate the files isn’t it? Our authorities then investigate anything relevant to us that comes up eg PM and A. So no not a distraction at all. Beyond doubt A had a long friendship with JE. You seem to have little faith in our CJS which fyi has handled many high public interest trials in the past - were they all unfair?
As for taking the heat of KS , that’s just how the cookie crumbles or are you implying he’s orchestrating the current situation?

Grannygravy, I don’t think the focus on AMW is helping Keir Starmer. If anything, it increases the concerns about Mandelson’s continuing influence in the Labour Party. It seems he was involved in encouraging Andrews’s appointment as trade envoy. He, like Andrew supported Epstein after his conviction for sex offences against a 14 year old girl. There were over forty girls identified by the sheriffs office. As is often the case in network investigations, most were to scared or deemed to be seen as unreliable due to ‘lifestyle” issues

DD was telling me about this earlier; he is not someone I had heard of but apparently a lot of people followed him.

Precisely. It is being mentioned on American Facebook and instagram pages that the UK is being so proactive but still nothing is happening.

There is a lot happening in the USA?
This is an eye opener on different lines of investigation, and what may still be to come. So much is still redacted, it’s like a dot to dot puzzle, where you can see small items, like say, two chickens that are Andrew and Mandelson, but you can’t yet see the farmyard, just shadowy outlines of other animals.
