I don't suppose she ever expected them to see the light of day.
But why didn't she try and reign in her spending? And was she in such a bad way financially that she had no option but to email grovelling requests for money to a convicted and infamous paedophile?
Looks like she and Mr Mountbatten-Windsor have deserved each other all along.

This is catastrophic for Beatrice and Eugenie. The poor young ladies!
In one email to Epstein she told him she was waiting for Eugenie to come home after a sh*g*ing weekend. What a thing to say to anyone let alone one of the world's worse paedophiles. No wonder Eugenie is distancing herself from her mother.

Thanks GrannyGravy13 I was focusing on the entitled behaviour of the rich and powerful exactly as you describe. The reality is often far from the glamorous spin when real life emotions are involved.
Apologies if my tone came across as offensive or dismissive of the sufferings of the victims in this appalling situation.
I think we are all mindful of the plight of the victims of Epstein and his friends
It’s the machevellian shinianagins and attempted cover ups which I find appalling.
Epstein obviously gathered so much information on his so called friends to be used at a later date for whatever nefarious purposes he or his puppet masters decided on.
It has come up in several discussions I have heard on the radio in my car today that Epstein could have been a so called Russian asset at this stage I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
I have some sympathy for the girls - but it's limited.
They were never averse to swanning off on holiday to exotic locations every few weeks, when all the while the York's PR people were peddling the "working Princesses" rhetoric at us.
We taxpayers paid for protection officers to accompany Eugenie on her gap year. That should have been paid for privately by her parents - but the thing is, whenever something needed paying for, the whole York family had no qualms in getting someone else (usually a Middle Eastern contact - of which they seem to have in abundance) to foot the bill.
On the one hand those girls were brought up to accept this as a normal way of life, on the other hand, as they got older they must have realised this is not a normal way of life, and stepped back from the extravagances, and frequent greed, of their parents.

Have these people no shame? No need to reply to that, I think I know the answer.
I just cannot imagine going to anyone with a begging bowl when I had the privileges SF had. How humiliating - could she not see that? And the way she spoke about Eugenia, ugh. I have v mixed feelings about the two girls. I think they should have said no to that visit with Epstein but on the other hand, I get the feeling that SF’s relationship with them was that ‘we’re all friends’ rather than being a parent, and ime trying to be friends with your children ends badly. I mean, who totes their (young) adult children around with them like that? I can’t think of anyone in my life who does that - she treated them as trophies.
Regarding AMW, I read that he has banned all news and newspapers from wherever he’s living now, so he doesn’t have to hear about it. I have no idea if that’s true or otherwise. Unless he never goes out, which I guess might be the case, it’s hard to avoid.

It's like Jilly Cooper's Rutshire Chronicles grotesquely coming to life.
I didn't know that Jilly Cooper wrote about under-age sex and sex trafficking?
JC definitely wrote about under age sex, I am currently rereading all of the Rutshire Chronicles from Riders to Tackle (currently on Jump)
No people trafficking, but a lot of bonking, drugs, dubious business practices and corruption in Government.
I had left home at aged 18yrs. My parents were not in a position to give me any money. The two “children” should have said they werent going to pervy Epsteins - mine would!
What an all round total disgrace of a scandal.

^The monarchy as an institution is stronger than this scandal which affects someone no longer royal^ I agree Allira.

It's affecting the president of a republic too.
PS Didn’t the Queen have to settle the Queen Mum’s debts when she died ?
I understand now why Prince Philip would have nothing to do with her. A very perceptive man.
Having listened to the Andrew Lownie's "Entitled" book Sarah came across as an enormous self kidder, a shining example, her assertion that one thing she was proud of that she was and is a great mother
According to Lownie she was hardly ever there in B&E's formative years, rarely putting in an appearance at their school and then taking them off to visit her paedophile mate in their teens. Referring to Eugenie thus "coming back from a shagging weekend" not really how one would want their mother to allude to a weekend away with one's latest flame
Her profligacy which is now legendary, was completely out of control in every sense. Never being able to make up her mind what to have for dinner, just her and the girls, she got one of her numerous flunkies to cook umpteen joints of meat, and often the lot were subsequently thrown out. Not only a shocking waste but a terrible example to children as to not respecting the value of food when half the world is starving. In her earlier life she was a chalet maid so cooking would have been part of her remit in that respect. Surely it wasn't beyond her to have got off her backside and rustled the children up something to eat, fish fingers even
I also remember some programme from quite a few years ago when SF was being interviewed in her home, talking the most incredible amount of woo woo b******s, none of it made any sense, I suppose she knew what she was on about. Allegedly the Queen invited her to Balmoral after the divorce and found some of her weirdo musings of the pseudo science/spirituality nature just too exhausting.

Sarah's over eating and over spending indicate a deeply troubled person.
It is very sad
Or just a very greedy person.
Personally - it looks to me like her and Andrew are what I call "thick as two short planks". Add in both of them being greedy.
People who "aren't very bright" seem to have the possible consequences of their actions go straight over their heads. More intelligent people do a little mental calculation that goes "That might come up and bite me on the bum at some point..." and are less likely to get up to all sorts in some respects. I've watched the way dimmer people act sometimes with a degree of disbelief that they think they can get away with whatever-it-is they've just done...
I can see looking at their eyes that "whoops"....
The York daughters were 19 and 20 when mummy took them visiting. My two would definitely have refused and asked me what on earth I was doing visiting a creep like Epstein
These two were brought up in an atmosphere where boundaries were loose imo. They were present when mummy was getting her toes sucked. I remember my mum being absolutely horrified when the press reported it. Those poor children, she said

What is it with these wealthy people that they can’t manage their wealth.
So true it’s pathetic. I truly wonder how much longer we’ll have a monarchy.
The monarchy as an institution is stronger than this scandal which affects someone no longer royal.
Mountbatten-Windsor now needs to be removed from the line of succession, which requires an Act of Parliament.
Apparently the Government has no immediate plans to do so but it should be a priority.

This is catastrophic for Beatrice and Eugenie. The poor young ladies!
They were 19 and 20 in July at the time Ferguson took them to lunch with Epstein, on his release from a Florida jail, after serving 12 months for soliciting a child for prostitution. It was less than a week after his release .
Surely old enough to say No, I don’t want to be in the same room as that man?
They have also benefited (and not only in their childhood) from all the moolah their parents scrounged, begged, borrowed or stole.
My pity is somewhat limited.
Yes indeed 19 and 20 I agree RosiesMawagain.
Contrast that with Shamima Begum who made a very foolish decision aged 15, truly an age when many don't have the rationality to understand cause and effect. She's paying a very heavy price for it now.
I've never been a huge fan of Beatrice and Eugenie, although I have a certain sympathy for them over this debacle. Nevertheless they've come across in some of their interviews I've read as massively privileged and out of touch, probably not their fault it was the way they've been raised by their profligate foolish entitled parents.

It’s embarrassing beyond belief.
I have been going through the paedophiles emails, they are beyond belief.
As I’m trawling through his inbox and sent boxes I feel as though I shouldn’t be and am expecting a hand on my shoulder!
It’s addictive and I am going to limit my time today to just 20 minutes.

Shameless.
